I'm 35, and I've been playing D&D since the 8th grade (I think?). I started d20 Modern in 2006 or 2007. I currently play in several and GM a game on RolePlay online, which has to be the best online PbP site around. It's also how I found this wiki :) I also DM an in-person 3.5e campaign.

Other wiki's I have edited:

  • Wikipedia Obviously.
  • Neverwinter Nights 2 Wiki
  • RationalWiki (Technically I'm a bureaucrat and sysop there, though I rarely edit)
  • Conservapedia. I actually edited within their own guidelines and tried not to cause any trouble, but parodists got me blocked. (Twice, actually).
  • I'm sure I've signed up for a couple other wikis here and there. I don't know what it is about user-edited webpages, but they seem to have the worst grammar and spelling. Luckily I can do something to change that :)

Big/little rant

Modern ("big M") and modern ("little m") aren't the same thing. Whether something is D&D or d20 Modern is not determined by the content, but by the ruleset it uses. A class that has Open Lock is D&D, even if it happens to be called Cyborg Starship Pilot. Some people create content for their D&D campaign that should properly be rewritten for d20 Modern, but until it is, it shouldn't be classified as such. Otherwise, d20 Modern users won't be able to use it, and D&D users won't be able to find it.

Pet Peeves
  • Failure to delete the "delete this" line in preloads
  • Failure to delete the "DELETE THIS LINE" line in ratings
  • Ratings in general
  • Mil +3; should be Mil (+3)
  • Mil (anything that's not +3); should ALWAYS be Mil (+3)
  • 2D10; should be 2d10. Lowercase is easier to type, so I don't know why this is messed up so often
  • AC; it doesn't exist in d20 Modern, but is probably the most common honest mistake.
  • People who create a video game weapons for d20 Modern without knowing anything about the system.
  • People who invent weapons that don't follow the game rules, instead of creating variant rules.
  • REVISIONISM! Removing content from talk pages (other than offensive or illegal stuff, of course)

  • Go through d20 Modern Homebrew to clean up... everything (in progress)
    • Clean standardize equipment/vehicles (first look at equipment is finished; vehicles not started)
    • Clean up/add breadcrumbs (ongoing; see this)
    • Organize categories (not started, but see this)
    • Clean up/add preloads/templates (ongoing; see this)
    • Organize/differentiate general homebrew and campaign-specific homebrew (ongoing, long process)
    • Add PL to equipment (finished)
  • Wikifiy MSRD (not started)
  • Clean out Category:Candidates for Deletion (150 left)
  • Clean out Category:Needs Admin (2 left)
  • Make sure that the bottom of my userpage stays empty (ongoing)
  • Updating disambig pages to include d20 Modern (finished)
    • Potentially create new disambig pages, or add /alsoMSRD-type template, pending permission
  • Convert {{3.5e Creature}} and DnD Creature Instructions to be usable for d20 Modern (see {{d20M Creature}}
    • Apply it to all creatures (starting)
  • Clean up/organize d20M NPCs (basically finished; some still have wikify templates)
