Aras Baskauskas
- Berserk Button: After Terry suggested that a person's spouse is more important of a loved one than one's parents(in order to justify why he picked Cirie to see her husband over Aras seeing his mom during the Reward Challenge), we get to see up close how much Aras really dislikes Terry.
- Bishounen
- Defeating the Undefeatable: Broke Terry's immunity streak.
- Earn Your Happy Ending: 1. First, Aras ended up on Casaya, the biggest Ragtag Bunch of Misfits of a tribe that the show has ever seen, and he has to reign them all in and lead them in challenges in spite of La Mina being the clearly stronger tribe. 2. Two, he had Terry breathing down his neck during the entire merge as well as suffering defeat after defeat from him in challenges while living under the threat of a MacGuffin that could eliminate Aras from the game any time Terry wanted to use it (by let's say throwing a challenge). 3. Three, Aras also had to deal with Cirie and her Xanatos Roulette, and the only way she got out of the picture was when Aras finally won immunity at the final four, forcing Terry and Danielle to vote for Cirie due no one else remaining. 4. Finally, he had to convince the jury that he deserved the money over Danielle in spite of accusations from the jury that he was generally nothing but a Lazy Bum in Real Life.
- The Leader: Of Casaya. Without him, they probably would have fell apart within days.
- Mr. Fanservice
- Only Sane Man: Of the Casaya Four. A recurring theme in the early episodes is one of the other members (usually Shane or Courtney) doing something ridiculous or fighting with another member of the alliance, with Aras just watching in disbelief and trying to smooth things over. In particular, Aras is the one that held the Casaya Four together by persuading Shane not to quit on Day 6.
- Sole Survivor
- Tall, Dark and Handsome
- The White Prince
- Worthy Opponent: Terry's words while voting for him says it all.
Danielle DiLorenzo
- Alliterative Name
- Femme Fatale
- Gag Boobs: Those breast implants swing back and forth between hypnotic and hilarious.
- Hero-Killer: The last episode saw Danielle directly eliminating two major and fan favorite players this season (Cirie and Terry).
- Hello, Nurse!
- Male Gaze
- Ms. Fanservice
- The Runner Up Takes It All: She got invited back eight seasons later for Heroes vs Villains while Aras has yet to appear again.
- Statuesque Stunner
- Tall, Dark and Bishoujo
- Ungrateful Bitch
Terry Deitz
- The Ace
- Ace Pilot
- Always Someone Better: Especially to Aras.
- Badass
- Cool Old Guy
- Determinator: You gotta hand it to the guy who outstays his old tribe's Pagonging by continuously winning immunities.
- Expy: Extremely similar to Tom Westman from Palau, minus the social grace and diplomacy that Tom had.
- Fish Out of Water: Once his tribe is pagonged and he's stuck living with the Casaya tribe. It doesn't help that Casaya is not only absolutely crazy (while he's a straight laced military guy), but their political beliefs are also diametrically opposed.
- Grumpy Old Man
- The Hero Dies
- Hot Dad
- The Neidermeyer
- The Rival: To Aras.
- Shocking Elimination
- Tall, Dark and Snarky
- You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: Courtesy of Danielle.
Cirie Fields
- BBW
- Black Best Friend / Intergenerational Friendship: With Aras.
- The Chessmaster
- Cool Big Sis: To Aras.
- Genius Bruiser
- Hot Mom
- Shocking Elimination
- The Smart Girl
- Spanner in the Works: Completely changed the face of the game and screwed up both Terry and Shane's plans by getting Aras and Danielle to join her in voting Courtney out.
- Team Mom
- Took a Level in Badass: One of the storylines of the season was Cirie going from being totally clueless as to how to survive in the wild (she was scared of leaves) to ending up perfectly capable of handling herself in the outdoors and probably the most strategically sound player in the game.
- Verbal Tic: Has a habit of bursting out into laughter at the end of her confessionals. Sometimes she can't even hold out that long, particularly if she's talking about something ridiculous a member of the Casaya Four has done.
Shane Powers
- Adult Child: "I'm thirty-five going on twelve." His son even confirms this by the end of the season.
- Badass
- Cloudcuckoolander: Too many examples to count. Of particular note, towards the end of the game he starts carrying a block of driftwood around, insisting that it's his Blackberry. (He even tells the confession cam that he's sending emails on it.)
- Hot Dad
- Jerkass
- Large Ham
- Naked People Are Funny: The otherwise-moving scene of Bruce's medical evacuation is somewhat undermined by the fact that Shane is wandering around the front of the shot completely naked.
- Reality Show Genre Blindness: Did nobody tell him he wouldn't get cigarettes in the game?
- Sanity Slippage see Cloud Cuckoo lander above
- Shocking Elimination
- Tall, Dark and Snarky
Courtney Marit
- Belligerent Sexual Tension: Although in this case, it's the guy who has the sudden mood swings. When Courtney and Shane were left all alone, with Terry on Exile Island, Bruce evacuated out of the game, and everyone else on a reward, it sure seemed like they would get it on eventually.
- Bunny Ears Lawyer
- Butt Monkey: See The Pawn below.
- Cloudcuckoolander
- Comically Missing the Point: After one of Shane's rage fueled tirades against Courtney, which included a death threat, Courtney was only upset that he belittled her apartment.
- Cute Bruiser: She's a very good athlete.
- Granola Girl
- Hair of Gold: Rasta style blonde hair, to be precise.
- The Pawn: Courtney was the final two option for almost everyone on the merged Gitanos tribe, perhaps except for Cirie (who didn't understand why). She annoyed EVERYONE.
- Plucky Girl
- Unwitting Pawn: Was the victim of the Cirie/Aras/Danielle vote off, headed by Cirie, to prevent Courtney from reaching the finals to fufill her destiny as a final two goat.
Bruce Kanegai
- Badass Bookworm
- Cool Old Guy
- Intergenerational Friendship: With Danielle.
- Non Gameplay Elimination: The second person to be evacuated from the show in almost five years and ten seasons.
Sally Schumann
- Alliterative Name
- The Chick: To La Mina post-merge.
- Hair of Gold
- Shout-Out: She wears her hair in Princess Leia buns during the Final Tribal Council.
Austin Carty
Nick Stanbury
- Last Words: Instead of the usual pleasantries or bitter rants people give when they are voted off, Nick gives a quite possibly epic final words dovetailing his experience on the show with his (what appears to be libertarian) political beliefs.
- Out of Focus
- The Stoic
- Worthy Opponent
Dan Barry
- Badass: He's a former astronaut. His tribe certainly respected him enough to think of him as this.
Bobby "Bobdawg" Mason
- Black Dude Dies First: And was the first man to be voted off his season too (the first four boots were all female, while he was the fifth to leave).
- Genius Bruiser
- Knight in Sour Armor: Because he was stuck on what was possibly the most dysfunctional tribe ever.
- One of Us: He was barely shown during his season, leading one to think that he may have been boring, but post show Bobby is perhaps one of the most well liked, quotable and fun cast members around. Check out his thread on Survivor Sucks where he dishes about his experiences on the show and why the editing screwed him over. It's surprisingly insightful.
- Only Sane Man: Besides Cirie.
- Scary Black Man: He plays this trope up for laughs, but to be fair he did grow up in South Central L.A, is tall and muscular, tattooed, and quotes Samuel L. Jackson from Pulp Fiction.
- Tattooed Crook
- Toilet Humour
Ruth-Marie Milliman
Misty Giles
- Hello, Nurse!
- I Coulda Been a Contender: Terry's explanation for getting ridding of her is that she was too intelligent to keep around.
- The Smart Girl
- Southern-Fried Genius
Melinda Hyder
- The Load
- Out of Focus: We don't really get to see her interactions with the rest of the reformed Casaya. There's hints that she has trouble relating to most of them.
Tina Scheer
- Cool Old Lady
- Mood Whiplash: Her son died only a few months before the game. This is revealed (to the confession cam) rather abruptly midway through the episode.
- Shocking Elimination: Easily the strongest member of her tribe, and overall one of the players with the most outdoors experience, and yet is the first one voted off.
