A few members of the cast of the Evillious Chronicles[1]

Akuno-P or mothy (an acronym for "Master of the Heavenly Yard") is a Vocaloid producer who is famous for his complex stories made using the Vocaloid program. His works include the the Seven Deadly Sins Series, the Clockwork Lullaby, and the Story of Evil; all of which connected into a giant tale named the Evillious Chronicles.

Songs in the Seven Deadly Sins series

Songs in the Story of Evil

Songs in the Clockwork Lullaby Series

Songs directly connected to the Seven Deadly Sins series via Word of God

Songs with no established connection or speculative connections to other mothy settings

Tropes seen in mothy's songs:
  • 0% Approval Rating: Rillianne in Daughter of Evil.
  • Absurdly Youthful Father: Gallerian Marlon in Judgement of Corruption. Justified by the fact that his "daughter" isn't his actual child or even human to begin with.
  • Abusive Parents: The father in Flame of Yellow Phosphorus is heavily implied to be this.
  • Aerith and Bob / As Long as It Sounds Foreign: mothy really tries to put in a "Western" feel (including the style choice of his songs), but the names...sometimes just sound plain bizarre even from a Western standpoint. Clarith? Gallerian? Yukina?
  • After the End: Desert's Bluebird hints at taking place in this sort of scenario, mentioning ruined towns and nuclear radiation.
  • Alas, Poor Yorick: In the velvet mix version of Servant of Evil, one of the first images depicts Rillianne crying as she cradles Allen's head.
  • All Just a Dream: According to Word of God, Madame Merry Go-Round is what Gammon Octo thinks will happen to the Doll if she continues to pursue the Sins. She doesn't believe him though.
  • All Love Is Unrequited: The cause of much angst in Story of Evil. The only pair with mutual feelings was Michaela and Clarith, and, well...
  • All of the Other Reindeer: Clarith in Daughter of White is a victim of this. Duke Venomania in The Madness of Duke Venomania was a victim of this in his childhood.
  • All There in the Manual: It appears that the longer the Seven Deadly Sins series goes on, the more interconnected mothy's works become - not just the Story of Evil and Clockwork Lullaby, but also other, otherwise-unrelated songs such as Last Revolver and Moonlit Bear. Whether this was all according to some plan or thrown together on a lark is debatable.
    • In addition, the Story of Evil now has a play and a novel series based upon it, which further expands upon the setting, and even has an official guidebook.
  • All There Is to Know About "The Crying Game": Most people these days only remember Allen/Len dying in Story of Evil.
  • Anachronic Order: The Evillious Chronicles. No one knew this until Chrono Story was released.
  • And I Must Scream: As if Allen's suffering isn't enough! After his execution, his soul is trapped alone inside the Clocktower. All because of his sister's sin is also in that place and the tears (the blue chain) and blood (the red chain) that she spilled tie him down as he was the one who do the deed. And the only reason why Clockwork Doll keeps him in her womb is so that he can be reborn as the Master of Heavenly Yard.
  • Angsty Surviving Twin: Rillianne in Story of Evil. Lampshaded in Heartbeat Clocktower

Gear: The "girl" with the pretentious lead role
Indulging in selfishness as always
While she shows on her face just a little bit
The sadness of losing her "other half".

  • Animated Actors: Mothy seems to treat the Vocaloids this way, and each is credited for the role of the character in the PVs they're in. For example, Len playing both Allen and Remy in Servant of Evil and The 5th Pierrot respectively.
  • Anti-Villain: Allen/Len in Story of Evil is a Type II.
  • Anyone Can Die: Most characters don't really last more than one or two songs.
  • Arc Number: 1000. The sequel songs are usually happening 5 years chronologically after the previous song.
  • Arc Symbol: Gears in the PV for Heartbeat Clocktower. They're also this in a lot of other songs, but Heartbeat Clocktower is the most obvious about it.
  • Arc Words: Many:
    • From the Clockwork Lullaby Series, we have "Lu Li La", "The lonely man on the brink of death built a theater in the forest", and "Everything twists, turns and melts away in the Clockwork Lullaby".
    • From the Story of Evil, we have "If we could be reborn", "I will always protect you so please keep smiling" and "Little glass bottle".
    • From the Original Sin Series, we have "Full moon" and "Forbidden fruit".
    • Throughout the Chronicles, we have "Utopia", "A thousand years", and "Whim".
    • Curiously, the Seven Deadly Sins do not have arc words in the series, but they do in the songs themselves; Venomania has "Pierced by the libido that hides poison" and "Dancing in this harem", Conchita has "Devour everything in this world", Princess Sleep-Bringer has "In order for your happiness", Enbizaka has "I must persevere with my work", "The more you sharpen your scissors, the better they will cut", and "Who is that girl next to you?", and Judgement has "Money is the best lawyer in Hell". No word on Wrath yet.
  • Aristocrats Are Evil: Venomania, Rillianne, Conchita...
  • Arranged Marriage: Rillianne and Kyle
  • Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking: In Duke of Venomania, the Duke's list of victims are shown. The three victims that disturbed fans the most? A horse, a less-than-10 year old girl, and... a 62-year-old woman!
  • Artifact of Doom: The Vessels of the Sins.
  • Artificial Human: Gallerian's daughter is actually a clockwork doll; his real daughter died with her mother in an accident several years prior to Judgement of Corruption.
    • The two Rins from Screws Clockwork and Pride. They are implied to be life-size, living toys.
  • Ascend to a Higher Plane of Existence: Michaela is reborn the new Thousand-Year Tree. It's noted by Elluka that because she's taking Eldoh's place, this puts her on the same level as him: A god.
  • Ax Crazy: Ney completely loses control in Prefazio of Blue, murdering her mother, becoming possessed by Conchita's glass, and trying to kill Kyle.
  • Back from the Dead: Rin in Desert Bluebird, thanks to the titular bird granting Len his wish.
  • Bad Boss: Conchita eats her fifteenth chef just for asking her for a vacation, and it's likely that some of her previous chefs met the same fate. And then she eats her maid and butler for no real reason beyond still being hungry.
  • Bad Santa: Julia often goes by her nickname "Santa", and she played a role in Margarita's crimes.
  • BFS: Chartette in Story of Evil has a huge sword. According to the guidebook, it's two metres long.
  • Battle Butler: Rillianne has several servants who are capable of combat, whether she knows it or not. To give names, these would be Allen, Chartette, and Ney, although not all of them end up fighting on Rillianne's side.
  • Bilingual Bonus: Gift of the Princess Who Brought Sleep seems to have a case of Gratuitous English, as the word "gift" is sung in Engrish by Miku, or, rather, Margarita Brachenheim. Note that Margarita Brancheheim is a German name. "Gift" is a German word as well, but it has a darker meaning then the English word...
  • Blood From the Mouth: Clarith's mother, who is ill with a widespread disease that also killed the previous rulers of Lucifenia, dies while vomiting blood. Mariam Futapie also displays this after she is stabbed in the back by Ney.
  • Body Surf: Elluka does this to two other characters in order to obtain the items mentioned in Heartbeat Clocktower: Venomania's sword (through Lukana Octo, a woman he had charmed) and Kayo's scissors (through Kayo herself). All of them have at least a few lines in one song or another, and all are played by Luka.
    • Abyss I.R, a new character, has done this too, even turning the tables on Elluka herself. She's implied to be Elluka's sister-in-law.
  • Bokukko: Lillianne Mouchet in the novel Praeludium of Red takes this trope a step further in that she doesn't actually use the polite masculine first-person pronoun boku, but the aggressive masculine first-person pronoun ore.
  • Book Ends: Daughter of White begins and ends with Clarith finding a collapsed girl, nursing her back to health, and befriending her despite a difference in status. In fact, the next-to-last verse quotes several lines verbatim from the first.
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: Lemy, the 5th Pierrot, is implied to have been brainwashed by Julia.
  • Break the Haughty: Rillianne in Story of Evil.
  • Broken Bird: In Chrono Story, it is implied that Elluka Clockworker is this. Also, Margarita Blankenheim in Gift of the Princess Who Brought Sleep.
  • But You Screw One Goat!: One of Venomania's victims is someone simply named Josephine, with her age and occupation censored. This was also the name of a character in Daughter of Evil. Specifically, it was the name of Rillianne's riding horse. Though, it might be an example of Mythology Gag.
  • Byronic Hero: Gallerian Marlon.
  • The Caligula: Rillianne Lucifen d'Autriche (AKA "The Daughter of Evil")
  • Canon Welding: It eventually becomes clear that the Seven Deadly Sins and Clockwork Lullaby series are part of the same series. A quick look at mothy's Mylist will help you tell which songs are connected to the series, as they all have a date in brackets above their description.
  • The Chessmaster: Prim Marlon.
  • Child by Rape: It seems that Lukana Octo became pregnant with Venomania's child, given that the Gardener's surname is Octo and that he refers to Venomania as his ancestor.
    • She's not the only one. Let's just say Flower of the Plateau implies that Venomania had never even heard of the word "protection".
  • Child Prodigy: Yukina Freesis in Story of Evil.
  • A Child Shall Lead Them: Rillianne is only 14 years old. Deconstructed because it's clear what the pressure of the position and loneliness from being separated from her twin had done to her.
  • Childhood Friend Romance: Duke Venomania loved Gumina, but she had mocked him in the past, and while she was in his harem during the song, she was under his charms like the others; once they were broken, she walked away from him as he died.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: Kayo Sudou takes this to disturbing extremes. Rillianne was also an example, with an even more horrid outcome.
  • Clock Punk: With a name like Clockwork Lullaby, what else did you expect?
  • Clockwork Creature: Gallerian's "daughter".
  • Color Coded for Your Convenience: A common trope in mothy's songs since they're sung by Vocaloids. You can basically guess what the characters look like just from a color. For example, if there's a girl wearing green, she probably has teal eyes and pigtails.
  • Continuity Porn: Done gloriously in Heartbeat Clocktower and Capriccio Farce.
  • Cool Mask: Kyle and the Master of the Hellish Yard both have these.
  • The Corrupter: Julia Abelard seems to be this.
  • Court Mage: Elluka Clockworker for the court of Lucifenia, Abyss I. R. for the court of Marlon.
  • Creepy Child: Pierrot. And Rillianne to some degree.
  • Creepy Twins: Arguably Hansel and Gretel, (who ironically share a name with another set of creepy twins...), DEFINITELY Conchita's glass' servants.
  • Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass/Messianic Archetype: Allen Avadonia/Irregular. According to Word of God, he's actually The Master of the Heavenly Yard, Evillious' equivalent to God.
  • Cry Into Chest: Clarith does this when Michaela tells her she's a wonderful person.
  • Dark Action Girl: Ney Futapie in Story of Evil.
  • Dating Catwoman: Gumi of The Last Revolver describes herself as evil and her boyfriend as on the side of justice.
  • Dead Hand Shot: The final panel of Retrouver of Silver, the manga story in the guidebook.
  • Dead Person Conversation: Michaela and Clarith are given a chance to talk one last time after the latter starts working in the church.
  • Deal with the Devil: Duke Venomania makes one to get his power, Gallerian Marlon explicitly refuses one that would cost him money.
  • Death Seeker: Gast has been searching for a good location to die, eventually deciding to make the palace of Lucifenia his final battleground. He does not hold back in battle, though, and he comes close to killing Germaine before she gets the upper hand.
  • Defector From Decadence: The Magician in The Fifth: Pierrot, who plans to leave Pere Noel and tries to get Pierrot to come with her, seems to be this. However, the additional information implies strongly that the Magician is actually Elluka Clockworker, in which case she most likely was the Reverse Mole all along.
  • Demonic Possession: Everything that relates to the sins; whether it's the sinners, their descendants, their fellow sinners, their fellow sinners' descendants, and their properties, can be possessed by the patron demons of the sins. Most of the problem in the chronicle is because people make even a simple contact to something that relates to the sins, such as Venomania's Deal with the Devil is actually this, Rillianne being possessed by Gluttony's demon in TwiRight Prank and the exorcise makes her forgets about her brother, Kyle's love to Michaela is because he saw the Venom Sword, Ney runs around in Handbeat Clocktower dressed in Conchita's attire and acted just like her (including being a genius tactician Conchita was, leading an army of zombies surrounding the Clocktower) when she for some reason has the glass.
  • Despair Event Horizon: Margarita in Gift from the Princess Who Brought Sleep definitely crosses this, but it's unclear at which point.
  • Despair Speech: The final verse of Gift from the Princess Who Brought Sleep. The first half doubles as a Motive Rant.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: Vanika Conchita kills and eats her cook because she's angry at him for asking to be allowed to leave. Princess Rillianne's response to the man she loves rejecting her in favour of a girl from another country is to completely destroy said country, and the first novel states that she regularly sentences people to death for minor "crimes" such as spilling water on her dress or just looking at her the wrong way.
  • Does Not Know Her Own Strength: Chartette, who ends up tearing up clothes and breaking furniture when trying to help set up a party in the beginning of Closure of Yellow. It does help her with manual labor, however.
  • The Dog Bites Back:
    • In Flame of Yellow Phosphorus, Rin's father kicks her out of the house and refuses to let her eat anything until she sells all the matches. She burns the house down with him still inside.
    • In Tale of Moonlit Abandonment, Eve and Adam Moonlit abandon their adopted children, Hansel and Gretel, in the woods. Three guesses what happens next.
  • Doomed by Canon / Foregone Conclusion: Several prequel or parallel songs come up with this thanks to the earlier songs.
  • Downer Ending: Retrouver of Silver, the manga story in the guidebook, ends with Mariam Futapie getting stabbed in the back by her adopted daughter Ney. Flame of Yellow Phosphorus also counts.
  • Dropped a Bridget On Him: Madness of Duke Venomania, with Kaito and his female fan-counterpart Kaiko.
  • Driven to Suicide: Gumi is heavily hinted to have committed suicide at the end of The Last Revolver.
    • Also, Margarita Blankenheim in Gift From Princess Sleep-Bringer.
  • Dwindling Party: Pere Noel is a villainous version.
  • Dying Declaration of Love: Venomania confesses his love for Gumina to the listeners in this way, though it's likely he didn't admit it out loud.
  • Dysfunction Junction
  • Elegant Gothic Lolita: Common among characters in the chronicles and justified by the times they take place in. In particular, the Clockwork Doll and The Master of the Graveyard wear this the most (though the Doll kind of stops wearing them after becoming the Master of the Court).
  • Everybody's Dead, Dave: Clarith in Daughter of White. "Gone, everyone's gone..."
  • Evil Is Sexy: Invoked by Duke Venomania.
  • Evil Matriarch: Prim Marlon in Story of Evil. She basically manipulates the entire Story of Evil so she can gains control both Marlon and Lucifenia.
  • Evil Mentor: Julia Abelard.
  • Expository Hairstyle Change: In the novels, Rillianne's hair is eventually cut short, while Kyle's hair is brushed back while he's still under Prim's control. Also, Elluka fits this in a way
  • Extreme Omnivore: Vanika Conchita
  • Famous Last Words:
    • "Wait! I haven't told you yet that I love you ..." Duke Venomania, to Gumina Glassred, although it's unclear whether he actually said it out loud.
    • "There's still something I haven't eaten." Vanika Conchita
    • "Oh, it's time for a snack!" (alternately translated as "Oh, it's teatime!") Allen, impersonating Rillianne
  • Fantastic Racism: While it's part of Color Coded for Your Convenience in the Daughter of Evil PVs, the discrimination in Daughter of White is most explicitly due to hair color.
  • Fantasy Counterpart Culture: Evillious:
    • Lucifenia is France.
    • Elphegort is Germany.
    • Marlon is San Marino.
    • Asmodean is Great Britain.
    • Belzenia is Ancient Rome.
    • Levianta is Japan.
  • Five-Bad Band: Pere Noel seems to be this:
    • The Big Bad: Julia (Santa)/Meiko (She's the leader.)
    • The Dragon: Hansel (Lemy/Pierrot)/Len (he seems to be most loyal to Julia.)
    • The Evil Genius: Margarita Blankenheim (Princess Sandman)/Miku (it takes brains to systematically poison everyone in your town.)
    • The Brute: Guumilia (Sniper)/Gumi (she relies on weaponry and appears to be a Blood Knight. She's more loyal to Elluka than Julia though.)
    • The Dark Chick: Blue/Kaito and Samurai (Purple)/Gakupo (the former "will never get a turn" and the latter does odd jobs for everyone.)
    • Sixth Ranger Traitor: Elluka Clockworker (The Magician)/Luka (she seems to be trying to gather information with Guumilia's help.)
  • Foreshadowing: Frequently.
    • Story of Evil: In Daughter of Evil, the narration points out that Allen's face strongly resembles Rillianne's. This foreshadows both the revelation that they are, in fact, twins, and their Twin Switch.
    • The Madness of Duke Venomania: In the phrase "the taste of the libido that hid poison, the pleasure of the blade that cuts", "poison" and "blade" seem to be metaphorical, but they actually foreshadow Venomania's death after being stabbed with a poisoned blade at the end of the song.
    • Conchita, the Epicurean Daughter of Evil: Look at some of the dishes at around the 25-second mark. One of them is a camera on a skewer. While it's nowhere near what she eats later on in the song, it should clue you in on just what kind of a gourmet Conchita is.
    • In Chrono Story: There are three women appeared at the beginning of the song; blond, pink, and black haired respectively. All There in the Manual revealed that these women are the forms that Elluka took across the series; her original form, Lukana Octo's body wearing her Story of Evil sorceress garb, and Kayou Sudou's body whose hair turned pink because of her Body Surf.
    • Among Venomania's victims are Teto Cetera, a soldier, Neru Neru Nerune, a spy, and Rindo Blume, a nun. In Story of Evil, Chartette Langley eventually becomes a unit leader in Belzenia's military, while Ney Futapie was a spy for Marlon all along. Rillianne also became a nun in her old age as shown in Kept Waiting for a Response.
    • Around the 0:26 mark in the PV of Moonlit Bear, there's blood on the hem of Eve Moonlit's dress. At the end of the song, we find out that she murdered Hansel and Gretel's mother.
  • For Happiness: Margarita's motive. Whether or not she's telling the truth is debateable.
  • Fractured Fairy Tale
  • Freudian Excuse: All of the sins have one. Some are only hinted at in the PVs (Conchita, Enbizaka); others are discussed briefly (Venomania, Corruption, Princess who brings Sleep). Daughter of Evil doesn't hint at a Freudian Excuse, but Servant of Evil does.
    • For the exact list: Conchita: If she didn't finish her food, she'd be punished; Kayo: Split personality, alternatively she was being controlled by Elluka when she commited her crimes; Venomania: He was rejected by his childhood friend for his hideousness; Gallerian: He needs money to take care of his "daughter"; Margarita: Also rejected, but instead by a Gold Digger; Rillianne: She genuinely doesn't realize that she's hurting anyone with her actions; the fact that she was thrust into a position of authority at a fairly young age may also have had a negative impact on her.
  • Freudian Trio: The Three Heroes of Lucifenia, with Leonhart Avadonia as the Id, Elluka Clockworker as the Ego and Mariam Futapie as the Superego.
  • Friendless Background: Clarith.
  • Gender Flip: One popular cover of The Madness of Duke Venomania is The Madness of Miss Venomania, featuring Luka as the eponymous mistress. Subverted in that all of the victims and her assassin are still female.
  • God: The Master of the Heavenly Yard, AKA Allen Avadonia
  • God Save Us From the Queen: Rillianne. That is, until she realizes what she's done and regrets it, after her brother's sacrifice and death. Also, Prim Marlon.
  • Godiva Hair: Mikulia Greonio in the PV for Flower of the Plateau.
  • Gold Digger: Caspar, who married Margarita Blankenheim because she was the daughter of a doctor and thus had a lot of wealth, is a male version of this.
  • Gory Discretion Shot: Some of Conchita's delicious (not) dishes are censored with mosaics, with the names either being partially censored out or even entirely censored.
  • Gotta Catch Them All: The fragments of sin that were scattered across the world. Although Elluka's quest gets the most focus, Gallerian is trying to fufill his own dreams by collecting them for her, and Julia desires the vessels for herself and clashes with Elluka over them.
  • Grief Song: Regret Message
  • Grimmification
  • Guile Hero: Elluka comes across as this.
  • Handsome Lech: Duke Venomania
  • Hanging Judge: The Clockwork Doll usually deems defendants that enter the forest guilty, and shouts for Gammon to be executed.
    • Gallerian Marlon as well (but only if you can't pay him).
  • Harem Seeker: Duke Venomania
  • Heartwarming Orphan: The singer from Kept Waiting for a Response.
  • The Hedonist: Duke Venomania
    • Conchita even more so.
  • Heel Face Turn: Rillianne in Story of Evil.
  • Heel Realization: Rillianne in Story of Evil, Eve in Moonlit Bear.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: In Story of Evil, Allen switches places with Rillianne in order to save her from execution; in Heartbeat Clocktower, the narrator takes out his own heart and uses it to prevent the clock from stopping in order to keep the clockwork doll alive.
  • Heroic Self-Deprecation: Clarith.
  • How Do You Like Them Apples?: The events that transpire in Moonlit Bear are heavy in apple-related imagery. They're later referred to in Chrono Story as the "original sin", and All There in the Manual refers to the couple as Adam and Eve Moonlit.
  • How We Got Here: Flame of Yellow Phosphorus opens with Rin being burned at the stake, then flashes back to what led to her execution.
  • Humanity Ensues: Voluntarily done for Michaela and Guumilia.
  • Humans Are the Real Monsters: When everything messed-up in the story is started by a woman stealing twins from their mother and said twins killed her before spreading the woman's impure to the world, you know that the chronicle doesn't have many nice people in it.

Gear: The only ones to be truly terrible...
Clockwork Doll: ... were the humanity's desire.

  • Iconic Item: The Sins each have one:
  • Identical Grandson: Evidently, if we're to assume that the Gardener is the descendant of Venomania. And also according to Word of God, a character in Story of Evil named Gast Venom is also one of his descendant and unlike the Gardener, is a purple-haired man just like Venomania. Maybe the blood hasn't thinned enough.
    • There is also the Marlon line, starting from when Kachees Crim married the queen of Marlon. Among his descendants are Kyle Marlon in the 500s and Gallerian Marlon in the 900s. All of them have blue hair and eyes.
  • I Don't Like the Sound of That Place: Most of the Seven Sins songs take place in a country or region named after a demon that's associated with the sin: Asmodin (Asmodeus), Belzenia (Beelzelbub), Lucifenia (Lucifer), Levianta (Leviathan), and Elphegort (Belphegor). Greed doesn't follow this,[8] but does take place when all the regions have combined into the Union State of Evillious.
    • While the wrath song hasn't been released yet, there is a region called Retasan (Satan) in Evillious. The wrath song will probably take place there.
  • If I Can't Have You: Kayo resorts to this after three instances of Murder the Hypotenuse in Tailor Shop on Enbizaka. Additionally, in Gift of the Princess who Brought Sleep, Margarita's husband, who only married her for the dowry and cheats on her often, is the first victim of her poison.
  • I Have Many Names: Many people in the chronicle are known to have many aliases and sobriquets, but special mention goes to Abyss I.R, who is known as Iriina Clockworker, I. Santa, Julia Abelard, and the Successor of Leviantan.
  • I Just Want to Have Friends: Clarith prays for a friend in the beginning of Daughter of White.
  • I'm a Humanitarian: Vanika Conchita
  • Immortality: Elluka, Hansel, Gretel, and Guumilia. The twins are confirmed to be Type VIII combined with Reincarnation.
  • Improbable Age: Word of God places Gallerian at a rather young age to be a high-ranking judge.
  • Improbable Weapon User: Kayo Sudou murders four people with sewing scissors.
  • Inferiority Superiority Complex: Duke Venomania seems to have this.
  • The Infiltration: Elluka joins Pere Noel under an alias, but when she tries to get Lemy to leave, he instead reveals her betrayal to Julia, and Elluka goes missing the next day. However, her apprentice Guumilia was still on the inside and thus able to carry out her orders to kill Lemy.
  • In Love with the Mark: The main plot of The Last Revolver. This does not end well. It also shows up in Servant of Evil.
  • Innocent Flower Girl: The girl in Flame of Yellow Phosphorus, as a tribute of the Little Matchstick Girl. Whether her innocence is real or not, depends on how you see her action. Mikulia is also known as this, while the truth is... not so much.
  • Internalized Categorism: Clarith puts herself down constantly for having white hair, while talking about how beautiful everyone else's green hair is.
  • In the Back: Ney kills Mariam this way. To add to it, Mariam had just finished retreating from a battle she was badly injured in.
  • Interspecies Romance: Between Len and a frog in The Frog's and My Love Romance. Yeah, it's just as weird as it sounds. It also doesn't end well... This is also included in Story of Evil, with Michaela (a spirit of the forest whose other physical forms included a robin and a tree) being the target of affection for several humans.
  • It's All About Me: Rillianne has this attitude. However, she eventually snaps out of it.
  • I Will Protect Her: Allen to Rillianne. Servant of Evil is far from subtle about this.
  • I Will Wait for You: Kept Waiting for a Response. *sniff*
  • Jigsaw Puzzle Plot
  • Jossed: A ridiculous amount of fan work/fan fiction/fan speculation/fan art/fan PVs/fan music quickly became quite inaccurate once mothy started to develop his story.
  • Just Like Robin Hood: In Story of Evil, Allen's adoptive father Leonhart steals food from the palace in order to give it to the hungry people.
  • Kangaroo Court: In Capriccio Farce, Gamon Octo (the gardener) is subjected to this after arriving at the theatre in the forest and getting captured.
  • Karma Houdini: In Tailor Shop on Enbizaka, Kayo Sudou never gets any punishment for killing an entire family of four out of spite.
    • Subverted with Rillianne in Story of Evil -- her Twin Switch with Allen may have helped her to escape the guillotine, but Message of Regret shows that she will have to live with the guilt of her brother's death.
  • Karmic Death / Death by Irony: The Seven Deadly Sins characters;
    • In Conchita, the titular character eats herself.
    • In Venomania, the duke is killed by a man dressed like a woman.
    • In Judgement, Marlon is sent to Hell with the exact same words he gave criminals.
    • In Princess Sleep-Bringer, Margarita commits suicide by drinking the poison she had given to everyone.
    • Rillianne and Kayo don't die but Rillianne loses her brother and it is essentially her fault. As for miss Sudou, well, see above... but also subverted, because now her body isn't even her own again.
    • Not a Deadly Sin character, but Rin from Flame of Yellow Phosphorus. She burns down her house with her father still inside, and is in turn executed because of the aforementioned killing via death by fire.
    • Another non-Deadly Sin example: in Tale of Moonlit Abandonment, Eve Moonlit is killed by the children she stole from their rightful mother and abandoned in the forest.
  • Kill It with Fire: In the beginning of Flame of Yellow Phosphorus, Rin is shown being burned at the stake. It's later revealed that she's being executed for setting fire to her home and killing her father in the process. It's also a likely cause of death for Gallerian Marlon, if he didn't die from other causes like smoke first.
    • Murder by Cremation: The children of Tale of Moonlit Abandonment come across a witch and shove her into the oven. Oh, and that "witch" was actually their adoptive mother.
  • Kill the Ones You Love: The Last Revolver has this, although the reason isn't clear. It also happens in Story of Evil, where Allen has to kill Michaela, whom he loves, because Rillianne told him to. It's unclear whether or not he eventually does it, but Michaela dies anyway and he still takes the blame.
  • King/Princess Incognito: Ney, who keeps this up even when she stops being a spy and goes back to Marlon, Kyle, who wants to interact with people below his status and uses a penname for his artwork, which he later adopts as a disguise during the revolution, and Rillianne, who is forced to do this since she was supposed to have been executed.
  • Knight Templar Parent: Gallerian Marlon.
  • Lady and Knight: Rillianne and Allen are of the dark type.
  • Ladykiller in Love: Venomania is in love with his childhood friend Gumina.
  • Lady of War: Mariam Futapie, who moves elegantly in battle even when covered in the blood of enemies she's cut down.
  • La Résistance: Germaine starts building one after her father's death, and it eventually grows into a complete revolution.
  • Last Kiss: And only kiss, shared by Clarith and Michaela before the latter is forced by the former to hide in a well. Michaela is killed a couple of days later, and she is intangible when she appears to Clarith after this.
  • Last-Note Nightmare: At the end of a Nico Nico Chorus version of Daughter of Evil, you hear the tune heard at the very end of Servant of Evil. One of the Nico signers starts singing the last lines of Servant of Evil... only to be cut off but a very realistic and brutal guillotine sound. Granted, the song isn't exactly happy to begin with, but still.
  • Let's Duet: Towards the ends of Servant of Evil and Thousand-Year Wiegenlied.
  • Let Them Die Happy: After learning that the person Riliane sent her letter to is dead, the orphans under Riliane's care write a fake response to it and give it to her on her deathbed. However, it's implied that she knew it was fake.
  • Living MacGuffin: The Desert Bluebird, which has the ability to grant wishes.
  • Loads and Loads of Characters: See Reused Character Design.
  • Locked Into Strangeness: Kayo's hair was originally pitch black that turn into peach after Elluka (in Lukana's body) stole hers. Elluka herself also a blonde before stealing Lukana's
  • Long-Lost Relative: Rillianne lost her memories of Allen being her brother, and it's only when he's preparing to sacrifice himself for her sake that she finds out about it. Additionally, in Prefazio of Blue, it's revealed that Ney's father was the king of Lucifenia, making her a half-sister to the twins, although they might not have ever known.
  • Love At First Sight: Allen fell in love with Michaela at first sight. In Daughter of White, it was revealed that Kyle was also this way to Michaela.
  • Love Chart: The guidebook for the Story of Evil series has one. A part of it can be seen in the preview.
  • Love Dodecahedron: Story of Evil. For starters, while not a romantic love, Allen has very strong devotion for Rillianne that is eventually returned. Rillianne is engaged to Kyle and wants to go through with it, but he has no interest in her and pines for Michaela, who is also loved by Allen. Michaela instead loves Clarith, which is reciprocated. The novels keep on adding to it by revealing that a man from Clarith's village had feelings for her, while multiple men proposed to Michaela.
  • Love Makes You Evil: Allen is an example of the "genuinely well-meaning Love Martyr" variety (in Servant of Evil, he even says outright that he's willing to become evil if it's to protect Rillianne), Kayo Sudou is an example of the "obsessive" variety.
  • Love Martyr: Allen. Margarita Blankenheim from Gift of the Princess who Brought Sleep was also one, seeing as she was in love with (and married to) a player who was blinded by money and then she poisoned him...
  • Love Triangle: Princess Rillianne is head-over-heels in love with her betrothed (Kyle), who falls in love with a girl from another country (Michaela). This does not end well.
  • Mad Scientist: Full Moon Laboratory.
  • Manipulative Bastard: Prim Marlon and Ney Futapie.
  • Masochist's Meal: Conchita, before becoming a cannibal even.

At the table with an array of food that would sicken a normal person/Sits a lone woman eating it with a smile...

  • Meaningful Echo: Used often in the Story of Evil with examples like the line "Afterwards, when people speak of her they say 'She truly was a Daughter of Evil.'" from Daughter of Evil coming back as "Ah, how can this be? She truly is a Daughter of Evil." in Daughter of White. Also, the song Maiden of Wood 1000-Year Wiegenlied [9] (its official English title is Spirit of ELD) from the CD Evils Court quotes a lot of lines from Daughter of White and ends with the phrase "If we could be reborn ...", which was also used in Servant of Evil and Regret Message.
  • Mind Screw: Good luck trying to tie the Seven Deadly Sins songs into a cohesive plot, even with the help of Word of God! The "canon" involved in them involves all of the songs listed above, at least. There may be more already out that don't have solid links yet.
    • Those new to the Chronicles might find some of the casting strange. They may understand Meiko being a psychotic cannibal and Miku being a corrupt judge, but apparently now Gumi is Satan and Len is God. What.
  • Mirror Self: In South North Story.
  • Moe Anthropomorphism: In Capriccio Farce, it's revealed that the sins' item vessels would transform into human when they awaken, taking some aspects of its sinner's appearance and traits, like how Conchita's glass is a cannibal and being flanked by a pair of servant and maid.
  • Mood Swinger: Elluka Clockworker. She's referred to as "the whimsical sorceress" for a reason.
  • The Mole: Ney Futapie
  • Monster Clown: Len is a surprisingly cute example in The Fifth: Pierrot.
  • Mood Whiplash: Halfway through Playing With Words. Also, the order of the songs in the albums can cause this as well; for example, in the CD Evils Theater, Conchita, the Epicurean Daughter of Evil is immediately followed by Ten Minute Love.
    • Which is quickly followed by Regret Message making it a double example.
  • Morality Chain: Inverted; Instead of going even more insane and becoming crueler, Rillianne becomes racked with regret and self-loathing after Allen dies, and desperately wants to change her ways afterward.
  • Morality Pet: Allen to Rillianne, The Clockwork Doll to Gallerian.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Poor, poor Rillianne.
  • My Master, Right or Wrong: Allen to Rillianne.
  • Murder the Hypotenuse: The whole reason Elphegort was invaded and the green-haired women were massacred in Story of Evil was because Rillianne wanted to be sure she killed said hypotenuse, which she succeeds at. This also happens three times in Tailor Shop on Enbizaka, although two of them were actually the man's daughters.
  • Names to Run Away From Really Fast: Master Of The Hellish Yard. Other happy little names include Sateriajis Venomania, Rillianne Lucifen D'Autriche, and the Master Of The Graveyard.
  • The Narrator: Yukina Freesis from The Story of Evil.
  • Nice to the Waiter: Rillianne to Allen. And apparently Chatteto too, as she was stated to be the only one other than Allen who could calm Rillianne when she got upset.
  • Noblewoman's Laugh: At the very beginning of Daughter of Evil.
    • Conchita pulls one in Master of the Graveyard.
  • Nostalgic Music Box: Fittingly, this is used in the first verse of Recollective Music Box.
  • Not Good with Rejection: Rillianne and Kayo.
  • Not So Different: Rillianne and Clarith (Haku).
  • Obliviously Evil: Lemy / Pierrot in The Fifth: Pierrot. As does Rillianne.
  • Obsessed with Food: Vanika Conchita, to an extreme degree.
  • Obviously Evil: Gumi/The Master of the Hellish Yard in Judgement of Corruption.
  • Offing the Offspring: Attempted in Tale of Moonlit Abandonment; as implied in the title, the twins are left behind in the forest. Then they find their way back...
    • In Flower of the Plateau, Mikulia kills her son just to make sure that no one finds out her secret.
  • Off with His Head: The ending of Daughter of Evil and Servant of Evil.
  • Oh Crap: In the PV for The Madness of Duke Venomania, the Duke has this expression when the jealous man stabs him.
  • One Steve Limit: Averted with the name Mikina; Mikina Olpria is a widow who is enchanted by Venomania, while Mikina Freesis is the wife of Keel and mother of Yukina.
    • Named Like My Name: In the original Japanese spelling, Lillianne is the same as Rillianne. Lillianne Mouchet hates her name due to the infamy of Rillianne Lucifen D'Autriche.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: Lillianne "Lily" Mouchet
  • Parasol of Prettiness: The Master of the Graveyard.
  • People of Hair Colour
  • Playing Against Type: We reiterate, GUMI IS Satan!
  • Plucky Girl: Yukina Freesis.
  • POV Sequel: One of the reason the Story of Evil is so tear jerking. Miniature Garden Girl also has one in the form of Judgement of Corruption.
  • Princesses Rule: Rillianne. Justified, as she refuses to accept the title of Queen out of respect for her late mother.
  • Puppet King / Unwitting Pawn: Kyle Marlon, who got upstaged by his own mother.
  • Really 700 Years Old: Hansel/Lemy still looks like he's fourteen, even though he's been alive for almost six hundred years; Gretel has yet to be seen in her new identity but presumably is in the same boat.
  • Really Gets Around: Venomania. Flower of the Plateau reveals that one of his victims, Mikulia, was like this too. She was less proud of it though.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Eve Moonlit for half a second in the PV of Moonlit Bear.
  • Red Herring: Michaela is killed by a golden-haired assassin, which Kyle seems to make a conclusion that Lucifenia has something to do with it in wake of Elphegort's destruction by Rillianne's order. It's implied that it's possible that Allen tries to hide Michaela and it's Kyle's sister, the blond-haired Ney Futapie, who killed Michaela under her birth mother Prim Marlon's order.
  • Reincarnation: RE_Birthday deals with this.
    • It also a big theme in the chronicle. Hansel and Gretel are reincarnated into several incarnations of people played by Rin and Len or their derivatives (Pierrot, Conchita's servants, Ney Futapie). Also, people who have some kind of connection with the sins will receive some of it, even as far as become the reincarnation of the sinner. The Demons of the Sins are specifically choosing people from specific nation to carry on the sins. When Ney, a Marlon, got possessed by the spirit of Conchita's glass, it really surprising because of this very reason. Turns out, she's a bastard child of Arth Lucifen, Rillianne and Allen's father, with Prim. Arth's firstborn is fated to bear the sin, knowing that making The Reveal very confusing to the in-universe observers, who expected Rillianne to be the one. Ney's connection to the sin of Pride makes her an easy target for another sin to possess, and Conchita's connection to the Mother in Moonlit Bear becomes some kind of leverage to control over the spirit of Gretel inside the firstborn female child of Lucifen. Yeah...
  • Replacement Goldfish: The Clockwork Doll, for Gallerian's real daughter.
  • Reused Character Design: The same Vocaloids are used to represent multiple different characters. The Vocaloid Wikia has a list of characters that makes it clearer. Justified in several cases. Michaela and Gumilia actually are spirits of the Eldoh Wood that taken appearance of deceased women; Michaela taken Eve Moonlit's and Guumilia taken Gumina Glassred's. Elluka's Body Surf and the Sin's item's Moe Anthropomorphism also examples of justification because from a certain point of view, they all are really the same person.
  • Reverse Mole: Chartette dons a disguise and starts feeding information to the growing rebel group in Lucifenia, even though she still spends time drinking tea with Rillianne. It's only after the revolution hits the palace that she severs all allegiance with Rillianne.
  • Royal Brat
  • Romantic Two-Girl Friendship: Clarith and Rillianne.
  • Satan: Gumi, apparently...
    • When one looks at the demons most associated with the Seven Deadly Sins, Satan (not Lucifer, note - the two have a distinction in this case) is the closest linked to the sin of Wrath. Might double as foreshadowing.
  • Screw the Rules, I Have Money: Gallerian Marlon
  • Self-Made Orphan: In Okizari Tsukiyoshou (Tale of Moonlit Abandonment), Rin and Len kill their adoptive parents.
    • In Flame of Yellow Phosphorus, Rin burned down her house with her father still inside.
    • In Gift from the Princess Who Brought Sleep, Margarita's parents are among the victims of her poison.
    • In Story of Evil, Allen is ordered to kill his foster father because of his attempts to disobey Rillianne; by this point, both of his biological parents are already dead. Another example in the same arc is Ney, who first kills her foster mother, then her biological mother.
  • Separated At Childhood: Rillianne and Allen.
  • Sex Montage: The PV for "Duke of Venomania's Madness shows the many conquests of the Duke, along with lists showing their name, age, and occupation before they "went missing." Disturbingly, some ages are censored.
    • That's probably because one of them, Josephine was the name of Rin's horse from the Daughter of Evil series
    • And another's Yuki, whose censored age is clearly in the single digits. And the last is Rin who's 14.
  • Sharing a Body: Gumillia and Elluka, after the latter's body is stolen by Abyss I. R..
  • Shout-Out: Rillianne and Allen's Twin Switch in Story of Evil? It's to A Tale of Two Cities!
  • Shrinking Violet: Clarith comes across as this.
  • Sibling Yin-Yang: Rillianne is selfish and proud, Allen is a self-sacrificing Love Martyr. While part of this can be attributed to their different upbringings, the song Twiright Prank, which takes place before the twins were separated, reveals that Rillianne has always been the more selfish twin.
  • Sins of Our Ancestor: Gammon Octo's entire bloodline was cursed because of Venomania's Deal with the Devil, and got captured by the inhabitants of the Clocktower in the first place because he wants to cleanse the sin from the Venomania's Sword.
  • Sketchy Successor: Queen Anne was actually quite competent and fair, with Lucifenia becoming prosperous under her reign. Once she died and her daughter Rillianne took over, it all went right down the drain.
  • Skewed Priorities: Played for Drama in Flower of the Plateau. Mikulia cares more about keeping her secret than about her son's life.
  • Slasher Smile: Gallerian - as well as some of the background... entities - show signs of this in the PV of Judgement of Corruption.
    • Just signs?
    • Hilariously, said "Entities" look an awful lot like Greed
    • In the PV of Capriccio Farce, Conchita's servants have this expression.
    • Ney Futapie shows signs of this in the preview for the novel Praeludium of Red, at the end of Retrouver of Silver and throughout the PV for Handbeat Clocktower.
  • Smug Snake: Rillianne Lucifen D'Autriche. Fitting, since she represents Pride.
    • Gallerian Marlon comes across as this too. Until we find out his real plan.
    • Venomania definitely qualifies.
  • So Happy Together: Daughter of White and Thousand-Year Wiegenlied cover this.
  • Spell My Name with an "S": Until recent Word of God, the fanbase was divided on referring to the characters from the Story of Evil by their Vocaloid names (Rin, Len, Miku, etc) or their play/novel names (Rillianne, Allen, Michaela, etc). Now that Word of God has given the main characters in the Seven Deadly Sins songs names, it appears that the play/novel names are canon.
    • Likewise, it is still undecided whether Conchita's first name is pronounced "Vanika" or "Banika".
    • There's also an ongoing debate as to whether Allen's last name is correctly spelled "Avadonia" or "Abbadonia". This is an odd example in that there shouldn't even be a debate - the way his name is spelled in katakana uses one of the character combinations specifically created to represent syllables involving the "v" sound, which does not exist in the Japanese language. So, the correct spelling would be "Avadonia", but "Abbadonia" is the more common spelling among fans (likely due to the demon Abbadon).
    • There was a brief debate right after the release of the novel whether to refer to the princess as Rillianne or Lillianne (the latter being an actual name), but the former is more common in usage to emphasize her origin of Rin (with an R).
      • Also, whether it's written Rilliane or Riliane (The latter seems to be the official spelling according to the worldguide and mothy's blog).
    • Also, "Clarise" vs. "Clarith"; the former spelling used to be much more common among fans due to being a more natural name, but there's one illustration in the guidebook in which the latter version is used, so "Clarith" is more likely to be the official spelling.
    • It is also undecided whether Margarita's last name is correctly spelled "Blankenheim" or "Branchenheim".
    • The Clockwork Lullaby; no one is sure if it's spelled "Lu Li La" or "Ru Ri Ra".
  • Stalker with a Crush: Kayo Sudou
  • Star-Crossed Lovers: Gumi and the guy she's singing about in The Last Revolver. Michaela and Clarith in Story of Evil.
  • The Starscream: Every single inhabitants of the Clocktower are planning against the Clockwork Doll.
  • Stealth Pun / Visual Pun: Pride's item was the Four Mirror of Lucifenia. But when the mirrors themselves are shown, there are only two mirrors visible. One might think that maybe it's an error or the other two mirror weren't shown; but remember that Rillianne and Allen's role was played by the Kagamine pair and as seen in picture above, the mirrors are reflecting each twin and creating four Kagamine in process.
    • Another one, again with Bilingual Bonus, is from Flame of Yellow Phosphorus. Rin was burnt on stake, just like how rin [10] on her matches burnt. Combine it with the song's title and you got a hell of pun for this tear-jerking song.
    • And then Capriccio Farce has each Kagamine play two characters,[11] again making four Kagamine.
    • The Waiter kept waiting for a response.
  • Stepford Smiler: Margarita Blankenheim in Gift From Princess Sleep-Bringer and Mikulia Greonio in Flower of the Plateau. Allen tends to come across as this as well.
  • The Stoic: Gumillia.
  • Suicide Is Painless: It's not clear whether Conchita was truly on the brink of starvation or if her appetite was just too hard to ignore, but she ends up eating herself because she's the last "edible" meal left in her castle. She actually seems rather pleased that she got to taste everything in the world.
  • Survivor Guilt: In Daughter of White, Clarith felt this after the green-haired women were killed, especially for her friend Michaela, whom she wished she could have switched places with.
    • Regret Message is about this, though it really is her fault in this case.
  • Take Up My Sword: The Clockwork Doll became the Clocktower's Director after Gallerian and the second guardian's death. She's even using Gallerian's hammer and playing the judge's role in Gammon's court.
  • Thanatos Gambit: Gallerian Marlon.
  • Through the Eyes of Madness: Madam Merry Go-Round. See All Just a Dream above.
  • Time Skip: The novel Praeludium of Red takes place five years after Story of Evil, and Flower of the Plateau takes place five years after The Madness of Duke Venomania.
    • Kept Waiting for a Response occurs in Riliane's old age.
  • Title Drop: Occurs occasionally in the songs. The most blatant is Judgment of Corruption (where it is part of the chorus), and in Daughter of White where Clarith calling Rillianne a Daughter of Evil is emphasized in both the song and the PV.
  • Token Yuri Girls: Michaela and Clarith.
  • Tongue Trauma: Clarith inflicts this on herself in Wiegenlied of Green. She bites down on her tongue when she learns that Michaela has been killed, and she starts to bleed so badly that the soldiers that have captured her begin to panic and give her medical treatment.
  • Too Dumb to Live: The mother in Moonlit Bear. Honestly, who leaves their twin babies alone in the forest in the middle of the night?!
  • Too Good for This Sinful Earth: Michaela
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Princess Rillianne is associated with brioche- she talks eagerly about eating it in Servant of Evil and has learned to cook it herself by Daughter of White, and the fandom plays it up even more. May be a Marie Antoinette joke.
  • Twin Switch: In "Servant of Evil"
    • A similar scenario is discussed in "South North Story". The two Rin's meet and notice that they look so similar, they could pull off a Twin Switch and nobody would notice.
  • Tyke Bomb: The title character of The Fifth: Pierrot is most likely an example of this. There's also Ney Futapie/Marlon of Story of Evil.
  • Undying Loyalty: Allen to Rillianne.
    • And possibly MA to Gallerian Marlon. "I will carry out your legacy when you die" anyone?
  • Unreliable Narrator: Kayo Sudou.
  • Utopia Justifies the Means: Gallerian, Clockwork Doll, and Ma/Elluka all seem to think this. Gear begins to doubt this philosophy however, and Gammon thinks that it will all just end in disaster.
  • Villainous Breakdown: Venomania, Conchita and Rillianne all get these toward the ends of their songs. Margarita might have gotten a minor one, but it's hard to tell.
  • Villainous Glutton: Vanika Conchita
  • Villain Protagonist: Heck, darn near everyone connected to the Seven Deadly Sins series, with exception of Elluka Clockworker (as hinted by Chrono Story).
  • Villain Song: A ton.
  • Villain with Good Publicity: Kayo Sudou, "With a good attitude and lovely skill, she's the talk of the whole neighborhood".
  • Visual Novel: Capriccio Farce's PV, in a shout out to Ace Attorney
  • What Measure Is a Non-Human?: The two Rins in Screws Clockwork and Pride. They are sentient toys which were viewed as defective because they couldn't live up to the ridiculously high standards of the very arrogant people of the future and ended up in a landfill because of it.
  • Who Wants to Live Forever?: Elluka Clockworker certainly doesn't...

Elluka/Luka: After losing her loved one and destroying what was precious/With all of eternity handed to her/She's only left with emptiness...

  • Wiki Rule: The Chronicles have their own wiki now. Considering how confusing they are, however, this is probably for the best.
  • Wise Beyond Their Years: Yukina Freesis.
  • With Great Power Comes Great Insanity: As the title of his song implies, Duke Venomania.
  • Wolverine Publicity: An oddly meta example - In the English communities only, people new to the author's works associate Conchita with the Story of Evil due to the popular translation of "Epicurian Daughter of Evil". "Akujiki Musume" translates more directly to "Daughter Who Eats Evil Food", and is connected to "Aku no Musume"/Daughter of Evil only through the Seven Deadly Sins series.
  • World Tree: The Thousand-Year Tree, which is inhabited by a god. The first one featured in the story is Eldoh, and he is later replaced by Michaela.
  • Yandere: Kayo Sudou
  • You Killed My Father: According to extra info, Jermeille's father (and Allen´s adopted father) was a knight who tried to rebel against Rillianne's rule and sneak food out to the hungry people, but was caught and killed for his efforts. Jermeille swore to avenge him, and later led the successful revolution against Rillianne. Well, mostly successful. Then again, Allen was the one who actually killed the knight, so...
    • Some speculate that Jermeille knew it was Allen, and either killed him because he actually performed the act or to punish Rillianne. (You killed my father. I killed your brother.)
      • In the novel, it was revealed that Jermeille pleaded Allen to escape with her, however, Allen played this card so the execution will continue.
  • Your Cheating Heart:
    • Margarita's husband in Gift From Princess Sleep-Bringer.
    • Kayo's husband in The Tailor Shop on Enbizaka, except that he's not her husband at all, he doesn't even know her, and the women she thinks he's cheating on her with are his real wife and his two daughters.
    • In Story of Evil, it turns out that King Arth had an affair with Prim Marlon.
  1. Clockwise from top: Miku Hatsune as Clockwork Doll, Rin Kagamine as Rillianne Lucifen D'Autriche, Len Kagamine as Allen Avadonia, MEIKO as Vanika Conchita, KAITO as Gallerian Marlon, Luka Megurine as Kayo Sudou, Gakupo Kamui as Duke Sateriajis Venomania and GUMI as Gumina Glassred
  2. Played by Rin Kagamine
  3. Played by MEIKO
  4. Played by Luka Megurine
  5. Played by Gakupo Kamui
  6. Played by KAITO
  7. Played by Miku Hatsune
  8. Gallerian's surname is Marlon, a reference to Mammon and an actual kingdom in the story, but his song takes place where Levianta once was
  9. "Wiegenlied" is German for "lullaby"
  10. Japanese for phosphorus
  11. Each plays a servant of the Master of the Graveyard, Rin plays the waiter, and Len plays Irregular
