In late 2006, MRT announced that Skopje Fest would return as the selection method for the 2007 Contest.

Competing entries

A submission period was opened for composers to submit their entries.[3] MRT received 150 submissions during the submission period, with MRT selecting the performer for each selected entry. The twelve competing artists and songs were announced on 6 January 2007.[4] On 24 January 2007, MRT announced an additional three wildcard finalists, as well as changes to the initial list of participants.[5]

Final

The final took place on 24 February 2007 at the Universal Hall in Skopje, hosted by Milanka Rašić, Živkica Gjurčinovska and Igor Džambazov. Fifteen songs competed with the winner being selected by a regional televote from 12 districts across Macedonia. At the conclusion of the voting, Karolina Gočeva and the song "Mojot svet" was selected as the winner, receiving top marks (12 points) from all twelve voting districts.[1][6]

In addition to the performances of the competing entries, the show also featured guest performances by the "Rebis" Ballet, 2006 Macedonian entrant Elena Risteska, 2005 Croatian entrant Boris Novković and 2007 Belarusian entrant Dmitry Koldun.
