Cyprus was represented by Evridiki in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 with the song "Comme Ci, Comme Ça".

Before Eurovision

Internal selection

Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation (CyBC) announced Evridiki as the Cypriot entrant at the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 with the song "Comme Ci, Comme Ça" (So-So).[1] The song was officially revealed at a special show on February 23, 2007. At the show, titled Cyprus 12 points, the entrants from Poland, Malta, and Belarus also performed their songs as guest performers.[2]

"Comme Ci, Comme Ça" is an electro-pop dance song. The composer of the song is Dimitris Korgialas, with Posidonas Giannopoulos as the lyricist.[3] Currently, the song is recorded in the Greek, French, and English language.[4] This is the first Cypriot entry to be sung completely in French.

At Eurovision

Because Cyprus failed to qualify in 2006 Evridiki were forced to compete in the Eurovision semi-final. The Cypriot entry was performed 3rd, following Israel and preceding the Belarus They came 15th with 65 points failing to qualify to the Grand Final.
