2022 United States Senate election in California
The 2022 United States Senate election in California will be held on November 8, 2022, to elect a member of the United States Senate to represent the State of California.

Incumbent one-term Democratic U.S. senator Kamala Harris was first elected in 2016. She has been chosen as the Democratic vice presidential nominee for the 2020 presidential election by presumptive nominee Joe Biden. If Biden and Harris win the election, she will vacate her Senate seat, allowing Governor Gavin Newsom to appoint a replacement. Per California election law, the appointee would serve until the 2022 election.[1]
