On April 15, 2015, the new station was assigned call sign WFKM-LP[5]. On June 7, 2018, the station dropped their original call letters and was reassigned to WOKE-LP.[6][7][1] After construction and testing were completed, the station was granted its broadcast license on April 4, 2018.[2]
