Telen River (Indonesia)

Telen River is a river of East Kalimantan province, Borneo island, Indonesia, about 1300 km northeast of the capital Jakarta.[1][2] It is a tributary of the Mahakam River.

Geography

The river flows in the eastern area of Borneo with predominantly tropical rainforest climate (designated as Af in the Köppen-Geiger climate classification).[3] The annual average temperature in the area is 23 °C. The warmest month is May, when the average temperature is around 24 °C, and the coldest is July, at 22 °C.[4] The average annual rainfall is 2932 mm. The wettest month is February, with an average of 362 mm rainfall, and the driest is September, with 132 mm rainfall.[5]
