Sunamganj
Sunamganj (Bengali: সুনামগঞ্জ, romanized: Shunamgonj) is a town in the Sylhet Division of northern Bangladesh. Administratively, the town is the headquarters of Sunamganj district and Sunamganj Sadar Upazila. It is the largest town and major trade centre in Sunamganj district. This town is situated on the banks of the Surma River. The nearest international airport to Sunamganj is Osmani International Airport. Distance from Divisional headquarter, Sylhet to Sunamganj town is 51 km. The municipality was formed in 1960.[2]
