Miss Universe 2012 Pageant

No one expected that she would make the semi-finals as she was the runner up to Miss India 2012 (Urvashi Rautela) and everyone wanted the original winner to be sent but she couldn't reach the minimum age limit. But the winner reclaimed the title in 2015 but didn't even make it to the semi-finals instead she made on spot number 23. At the pageant, Singh was selected among the Top 16 semi-finalists and ended India's four-year drought at Miss Universe. Only Top 10 contestants were moved on to evening gown round. Later in the official website of Miss Universe it is shown that she was actually in Top 11. The officials also stated that Singh aced the preliminary interview round with 9.677 leaving others behind. Preliminary Round: Swimsuit Competition – 8.678 Evening Gown Competition – 9.019 Interview – 9.677 This made her to move to the semi-finals. She finished the preliminary competition on 4th place, while Philippines, Brazil and Venezuela on the first three spots. In the semi-finals she just lagged a bit and made it as the 10th runner-up. She missed the spot with just 0.233 to Miss Russia which totally shocked the audience [8][9]
