Puddington, Cheshire
Puddington is a village and civil parish on the Wirral Peninsula, in the unitary authority of Cheshire West and Chester and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England, located close to the border with Wales.[2] In the 2001 census the village of Puddington had 325 inhabitants,[3][4] increasing to 381 at the 2011 census.[1]

At local government level, Puddington is part of Cheshire West's Saughall and Mollington Ward as of 2020.[5]
Puddington has as its centrepiece a village green which hosts the annual Christmas carol service and summer barbecue.
History
Puddington is recorded in the Domesday Book[6] (1086), within the Wirral Hundred of Cheshire, with ten households listed. Formerly a township in Burton parish, it includes the hamlets of Badger's Rake (part), Benty Heys, Croxton Wood, Two Mills (part of, until 2015), Shotwick and Woodbank. The population was 139 in 1801, 176 in 1851, 126 in 1901 and 410 in 1951.[3]
