History
New Farmington was laid out in 1852.[3] A post office was established at New Farmington in 1852, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1868.[4]

New Farmington is located at 38°55′30″N 85°52′01″W. It is 2.7 miles (4.3 km) from Seymour, and 9.9 miles (15.9 km) from its county seat, Brownstown.
