Medan–Binjai Toll Road is a toll road connecting to Medan from Binjai, this toll road will be constructed by tender. It is set to be completed in the end of 2017.[1]

In front of the recess member of the Regional Representatives Council (DPRD) North Sumatra, the City Government expects Binjai, North Sumatra (North Sumatra Provincial Government) in order to help pursue the completion of the Medan-Binjai toll road, which up to now seem to float.

"Until now, it is not clear who and when the implementation of the Medan-Binjai toll road, so we request the Provincial Government of North Sumatra and North Sumatra DPRD together to help the solution," said Chairman Bappeda Binjai City, M Junaidi Muslim, in his presentation before the group team recess XI DPRD North Sumatra, in the hall of Binjai mayor's office, today.

Present at the meeting, represented by Vice Mayor Mayor Binjai Timbas Tarin, the Regional Working Units (SKPD), Chairman of the Group of Recess Dapil XI, Yan Syahrin, accompanied by members of Ristiawati, Nurul Azhar Lubis, Ferry Tanuray Kaban, and Syahrial Harahap. According to the Head of Planning M Junaidi, currently Binjai City Administration has conducted land acquisition which will be built on the highway, but until now there has been no sign of implementation of the freeway construction.

"We have proposed to the government's proposal and also the center of North Sumatra province, but until now there has been no response," said M Junaidi. In addition to the toll road, Junaidi also mentioned the condition of the outer ring road lighting facilities are not equipped, thus disturbing the comfort and safety of the riders. "Already we are proposing that the street lighting budget can be accommodated in North Sumatra and the Budget," said Junaidi.

Touched on regional aid Bottoms (BDB), Binjai City Government in 2012 amounted to 90 billion poured over, while in 2013, valued at Rp112 billion Binjai proposed, considering the number of development activities to be carried out in the city was nicknamed 'the city rambutan' it.

While in his speech, Chairman of the North Sumatra DPRD Recess XI, Yan Syahrin insists his side will fight for the addition of BDB. "We want to Binjai and Langkat BDB is a priority admission in adequate amounts, so that the construction can be evenly distributed to the villages," said the politician Gerindra.

Previously, Mayor Binjai Idaham in speech read Timbas Tarin said Vice Mayor, North Sumatra provincial government hopes pihanya continue to invest through the help of subordinate regions. "The grant will be managed properly, using the principles of transparency and akutabel, so that the whole can be justified," said Timbas.[2]
