Macropodid alphaherpesvirus 1

Macropodid alphaherpesvirus 1 (MaHV-1) is a species of virus in the genus Simplexvirus, subfamily Alphaherpesvirinae, family Herpesviridae, and order Herpesvirales. It has been detected in captive Macropus parma.[2] Some other marsupial species have been found to be susceptible to infection when experimentally inoculated.[3]
