List of municipalities of the Flemish Region
The Flemish Region of Belgium is divided into 300 municipalities, listed in the table below. The numbers refer to the location of the municipalities on the maps of the respective provinces.
Effective 1 January 2019, fifteen municipalities were merged into seven, thus reducing the number of Flemish municipalities from 308 to 300:
- Aalter + Knesselare = Aalter
- Deinze + Nevele = Deinze
- Kruishoutem + Zingem = Kruisem
- Waarschoot + Lovendegem + Zomergem = Lievegem
- Sint-Amands + Puurs = Puurs-Sint-Amands
- Overpelt + Neerpelt = Pelt
- Opglabbeek + Meeuwen-Gruitrode = Oudsbergen
