KIAA1377

Uncharacterized protein KIAA1377 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the KIAA1377 gene.[5][6] Also known as Cep126, the protein has been shown to localize to the centrosome. Furthermore, it is found at pericentriolar satellites and the base of the primary cilium. Depleting Cep126 leads to dispersion of pericentriolar satellites, in turn disrupting microtubule organization at the mitotic spindle.[7]

Clinical relevance

Mutations in this gene have been found to cause monomelic amyotrophy.[8]

gollark: I forgot how to do that on Windows. Look up how to change the MAC address of the WiFi adapter or something.
gollark: You can probably just fiddle with the MAC address if it's only one device being blocked.
gollark: Then fix the match. This isn't a hard problem.
gollark: Just support the football team which wins, silly.
gollark: I mean, until AV1 encoders get better and hardware ones exist.
