Fire-coloured beetle

Fire-coloured beetles or otherwise known as eyelash bugs [1] are the beetles of the Pyrochroidae family, which includes the red cardinal beetles. Adults measure 4-20 mm; larvae reach 25 mm. Larvae of Pyrochroinae are found under moist bark of dead trees:they are probably mostly fungivorous, although they may become cannibalistic if too crowded.

Behaviour

They are not harmful to humans - they do not bite, sting or spray harmful chemicals. But more study is necessary as there is only limited information regarding these insects.

gollark: ComputerCraft started using ””ropes”” a while back for faster concatenation.
gollark: Except the actual U+0000 codepoint.
gollark: I don't think UTF-8 allows them.
gollark: I guess you might want it for aligning, but char length is technically wrong and you need (ÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆAAAA) graphemes.
gollark: Unless you actually need *character* length, which you probably don't much, that should be fine really.
