History

Before the stop opened, there was much controversy surrounding the development of the Metrolink line, with many Droylsden residents complaining about the disruption to traffic and local businesses.[5] It is mainly due to these concerns that a three-day free trial service was run for local residents.[1]

Droylsden Metrolink stop was the terminus of the East Manchester Line until 9 October 2013,[6] when services were extended eastwards to Ashton-under-Lyne Metrolink station.[7]

Services

Services are mostly every 12 minutes on all routes.
