History

  • In 1978, DZYB-FM 102.3 was first launched as MRS DZYB 102.3 playing adult contemporary hits.
  • In 1998, DZYB-FM reformatted into a contemporary hit radio station along with other NBC FM stations across the country, with the exception of DWFM 92.3 Manila (which they carrying retro, jazz and R&B format), DXTY 101.1 Zamboanga (which they carrying classic hits format), and DXRI 98.3 Iligan (which they carrying rock music format). The station rebranded as Jesse @ Rhythms 102.3, playing pop music.
  • In 2005, the station rebranded as 102.3 Jesse flipping into a Smooth AC format.
  • On February 21, 2011, it was reformatted again as Radyo5 102.3 News FM as a news and talk station. It began simulcasting Manila's Radyo5 92.3 News FM, although in a weaker signal.

gollark: Yes, you're right, let's just replace our lightbulbs with idealized magic visible light emitters.
gollark: If they didn't need that (I think the only practical way to achieve this would just be to stick one larger and more efficient converter somewhere) the bulbs would be individually cheaper and probably more efficient too, as well as safer.
gollark: You know something mildly interesting and relevant? LEDs run off lowish-voltage DC. The mains, as connected to most conventional lightbulb fittings (designed for incandescent/flourescent) provides high-voltage AC. This means that every LED lightbulb needs inefficient and probably somewhat expensive power supply circuitry.
gollark: Hmm. Well.
gollark: That seems kind of inefficient.
