1960s
1960
- 9 December 1960: First episode of Coronation Street broadcast live.
- 30 December 1960: May Hardman (Joan Heath) collapses and dies in her hallway of a brain tumour, the first ever death in Coronation Street.
1961
- 25 January 1961: Len Fairclough (Peter Adamson) first appears.
- 27 January 1961: Emily Nugent (Eileen Derbyshire) first appears.
- 8 February 1961: Alf Roberts (Bryan Mosley) first appears.
- 12 June 1961: Linda Cheveski (Anne Cunningham) gives birth to her son Paul, the first ever birth in Coronation Street.
- 11 September 1961: Ida Barlow (Noel Dyson) is hit and killed by a bus.
- 2 October 1961: Harry Hewitt (Ivan Beavis) marries Concepta Riley (Doreen Keogh).
1962
- 1 August 1962: Ken Barlow (William Roache) marries Valerie Tatlock (Anne Reid).
- 6 August 1962: Concepta Hewitt (Doreen Keogh) gives birth to her son Christopher.
- 22 October 1962: Jack (Arthur Leslie) and Annie Walker (Doris Speed) celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary.

- 19 October 1963: Jerry Booth (Graham Haberfield) marries Myra Dickenson (Susan Jameson).
1964
- 13 May 1964: Martha Longhurst (Lynne Carol) suffers a heart attack in The Rovers Return and dies.
- 29 June 1964: Stan Ogden (Bernard Youens) first appears.
- 8 July 1964: Hilda Ogden (Jean Alexander) first appears.
- 19 August 1964: Harry (Ivan Beavis) and Concepta Hewitt (Doreen Keogh) move to Ireland.
- 2 December 1964: Rita Littlewood (Barbara Knox) first appears.
1965
- 27 January 1965: Ena Sharples (Violet Carson) and Elsie Tanner (Pat Phoenix) clash in the street; Ena has become Elsie's new landlady and orders Elsie out of the house. Ena attacks her and smashes one of the house's windows with her handbag.
- 5 April 1965: Valerie Barlow (Anne Reid) gives birth to twins, Susan and Peter Barlow.
- 30 August 1965: A house collapses into the street due to a faulty beam, the residents evacuate their houses.
- 17 November 1965: A piece of coal falls from the Barlows' fireplace and starts a blaze that nearly kills Susan and Peter Barlow.
1966
- 21 February 1966: Ray Langton (Neville Buswell) first appears.
- 25 May 1966: Bet Lynch (Julie Goodyear) first appears.
1967
- 11 January 1967: Ena Sharples (Violet Carson) breaks down when her daughter, Vera Lomax (Ruth Holden), dies from a brain tumour.
- 10 May 1967: A goods train derails from the top of the viaduct on Viaduct Street, crashing into Coronation Street. Several of the residents are missing and feared dead: Jack Walker (Arthur Leslie) turns up unharmed, as do Lucille Hewitt (Jennifer Moss) and Elsie Tanner (Pat Phoenix). Ena Sharples (Violet Carson) is found unconscious but alive under the rubble, as is a police officer. The police officer's girlfriend Sonia Peters is found dead.
- 4 September 1967: Elsie Tanner (Pat Phoenix) marries Steve Tanner (Paul Maxwell). Harry (Ivan Beavis) and Concepta Hewitt (Doreen Keogh) return for the ceremony; Harry is later crushed to death whilst fixing his broken-down van when the jack slips.
1968
- 29 May 1968: Dennis Tanner (Philip Lowrie) marries Jenny Sutton (Mitzi Rogers).
- 5 August 1968: Frank Riley breaks into the Barlows' maisonette and takes Valerie Barlow (Anne Reid) hostage. She is rescued by the police.
- 28 September 1968: Steve Tanner (Paul Maxwell) is murdered.
1969
- 2 June 1969: Betty Turpin (Betty Driver) first appears.
- 29 October 1969: A coach crash leaves several of the residents injured and the coach driver dead. Ray Langton (Neville Buswell) suffers a spinal injury; Ena Sharples (Violet Carson) faints; Elsie Tanner (Pat Phoenix) breaks her arm; Annie Walker (Doris Speed) dislocates her jaw; Jack Walker (Arthur Leslie) breaks his sternum; Emily Nugent (Eileen Derbyshire) suffers bruises; and Minnie Caldwell (Margot Bryant) loses a severe amount of blood and is left unconscious.
- 3 November 1969: First colour episode of Coronation Street is broadcast.
1970s
1970
- 8 April 1970: David Barlow (Alan Rothwell) is involved in a car crash in Australia and is killed instantly. His son Darren dies in hospital the next day as a result of his injuries.
- 8 July 1970: Jack Walker (Arthur Leslie) dies of a heart attack whilst visiting his daughter.
- 22 July 1970: Elsie Tanner (Pat Phoenix) marries Alan Howard (Alan Browning).
- 21 December 1970: Joe Donnelli (Shane Rimmer) commits suicide after confessing to the murder of Steve Tanner (Paul Maxwell).
1971
- 27 January 1971: Valerie Barlow (Anne Reid) is electrocuted by a faulty hairdryer and is killed instantly; a blaze is started in the maisonette.
- 14 June 1971: Ivy Tilsley (Lynne Perrie) first appears.
- 11 August 1971: Mavis Riley (Thelma Barlow) first appears.
1972
- 3 April 1972: Emily Nugent (Eileen Derbyshire) marries Ernest Bishop (Stephen Hancock).

1973
- 15 January 1973: Alf Roberts (Bryan Mosley) is chosen as the next Mayor of Weatherfield. He asks Maggie Clegg (Irene Sutcliffe) to be Mayoress and Len Fairclough (Peter Adamson) to be Deputy Mayor.
- 5 February 1973: Maggie Clegg (Irene Sutcliffe) turns down Alf Roberts' (Bryan Mosley) offer to be his Mayoress, worried about what would happen to the Corner Shop.
- 5 March 1973: The residents are evacuated to the Community Centre following the gas leak in No.1.
- 7 May 1973: Alf Roberts (Bryan Mosley) and Annie Walker (Doris Speed) are installed as Mayor and Mayoress of Weatherfield.
- 21 May 1973: Len Fairclough (Peter Adamson) asks Rita Littlewood (Barbara Knox) to run his new business investment – a newsagent that will come to be known as The Kabin.
- 11 June 1973: The Kabin opens its door for the first time. Rita Littlewood (Barbara Knox) interviews Mavis Riley (Thelma Barlow) for the position of assistant and offers her for job.
- 13 July 1973: Mavis Riley (Thelma Barlow) starts work at The Kabin.
- 29 August 1973: The women of Weatherfield put on a cabaret drag show in The Rovers Return.
- 3 October 1973: Elsie Howard (Pat Phoenix) leaves the programme after 13 years.

- 1 October 1975: A warehouse fire kills Edna Gee (Mavis Rogerson) and two other factory workers. The storyline is part of the show's 15th anniversary.

- 9 January 1978: Ernest Bishop (Stephen Hancock) is shot during a robbery at Baldwin's Casuals.
- 11 January 1978: Ernest Bishop (Stephen Hancock) is killed by two armed robbers at Mike Baldwin's (Johnny Briggs) factory.
- 22 February 1978: Renee Bradshaw (Madge Hindle) accepts Alf Roberts' (Bryan Mosley) proposal of marriage.
- 20 March 1978: Alf Roberts (Bryan Mosley) marries Renee Bradshaw (Madge Hindle).
- 19 June 1978: The machine staff of Baldwin's Casuals goes on strike in support of sacked Hilda Ogden (Jean Alexander).
- 15 November 1978: Ray Langton (Neville Buswell) moves to Holland, leaving his wife Deirdre Langton (Anne Kirkbride) and their daughter Tracy Langton.
- 27 December 1978: Brian Tilsley (Christopher Quinten) gets drunk at Ron Mather's (Bobby Ball) party at No.11 and asks Gail Potter (Helen Worth) out on a date.
1979
- 7 March 1979: A lorry crashes into The Rovers Return, injuring Alf Roberts (Bryan Mosley), Mike Baldwin (Johnny Briggs) and Betty Turpin (Betty Driver). Deirdre Langton (Anne Kirkbride) believes that her young daughter Tracy Langton is trapped underneath the rubble and panics.
- 14 April 1979: First appearance of Audrey Potter (Sue Nicholls).
- 28 November 1979: Gail Potter (Helen Worth) marries Brian Tilsley (Christopher Quinten). Jack Duckworth (Bill Tarmey) makes his first appearance.
1980s
1980
- 2 January 1980: The men go for an early morning "hair of the dog" in the Rovers. The first Coronation Street episode of the 1980s.
- 12 March 1980: Fred Gee (Fred Feast) installs the bell-push in the Rovers, much to Betty Turpin's (Betty Driver) disdain.
- 2 April 1980: 81-year-old Ena Sharples (Violet Carson) makes her last appearance after 20 years. She goes to stay with an old friend, Henry Foster (last appearance of Ena Sharples).
- 2 June 1980: The 2000th episode of Coronation Street.
- 23 July 1980: Hilda Ogden (Jean Alexander) allows Eddie Yeats (Geoffrey Hughes) to lodge at No.13 on a permanent basis.
- 28 July 1980: Renee Roberts (Madge Hindle) is killed after a lorry smashes into the front of her husband Alf Roberts's (Bryan Mosley) car in a country lane (last appearance of Renee Roberts).
- 12 November 1980: Albert Tatlock (Jack Howarth) puts on his medals and takes the bus to Manchester where he lays a wreath for Monty Shawcross.
- 19 November 1980: Bet Lynch's (Julie Goodyear) picture is on the front page of the Gazette along with the bin boycott story.
- 31 December 1980: A son, Nick Tilsley (Warren Jackson), is born to Gail and Brian Tilsley (Helen Worth and Christopher Quinten) (first appearance of Nick Tilsley).
1981
- 27 July 1981: Ken Barlow (William Roache marries Deirdre Langton (Anne Kirkbride).
1983
- 21 February 1983: Ken Barlow discovers that his wife Deirdre Barlow is having an affair with Mike Baldwin (Johnny Briggs).
- 12 October 1983: Annie Walker (Doris Speed) retires to Derby to live with her daughter, Joan Davies (June Barry) (last appearance of Annie Walker)
- 19 October 1983: Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) first appears.
- 7 December 1983: Len Fairclough (Peter Adamson) dies in an off-screen car crash after visiting his mistress in Bolton.
1984
- 4 January 1984: Elsie Tanner (Patricia Phoenix) leaves the Street to live in Portugal with her boyfriend of the '60s, Bill Gregory (Jack Watson); she follows a horde of departing favourites, leaving the show bereft of familiar faces in 1983 and 1984 (last appearance of Elsie Tanner and Bill Gregory).
- 14 May 1984: Albert Tatlock dies off-screen of old age.
- 9 July 1984: The pub olympics are held, and the Websters move into Elsie's former house.
- 21 November 1984: Stan Ogden (Bernard Youens) dies off-screen in hospital.
1985
- 28 January 1985: First appearance of Martin Platt (Sean Wilson) as he starts work in Jim's Cafe. The Clayton family move into No.11.
- 18 March 1985: The 2500th episode of Coronation Street.
- 22 May 1985: Kevin Webster moves into No.13 as Hilda Ogden's (Jean Alexander) lodger.
- 9 September 1985: Bet Lynch opens the newly refurbished Corner Shop when Miss Weatherfield proves unavailable. A drunken Alf Roberts proposes to Rita Fairclough (Barbara Knox).
- 21 October 1985: The missing Tracy Barlow (Holly Chamarette) is found in Newcastle and returned to Weatherfield by her adoptive half-sister, Susan Barlow (Wendy Jane Walker).
- 9 December 1985: 25th anniversary of Coronation Street.
- 23 December 1985: Alf Roberts marries Audrey Potter (Sue Nicholls).
- 30 December 1985: Mike Baldwin and Susan Barlow leave for London to spend the New Year together.
1986
- 1 January 1986: Ken Barlow finds out that his daughter Susan Barlow has spent New Year in London with his enemy, Mike Baldwin.
- 6 January 1986: First appearance of Jenny Bradley (Sally Ann Matthews). Police break the news her mother has been run over and killed.
- 15 January 1986: First appearance of Alan Bradley (Mark Eden), and sees his daughter Jenny Bradley for the first time in eight years.
- 22 January 1986: When Ken Barlow finds out his daughter Susan Barlow has got back with Mike Baldwin, he goes to Baldwin's Casuals and thumps Mike, declaring: "I've had enough of your poison in my family."
- 27 January 1986: Sally Seddon (Sally Whittaker) first appears.
- 12 February 1986: Alf Roberts buys 11 Coronation Street, much to his wife Audrey Roberts' horror.
- 3 March 1986: The 2600th episode of Coronation Street.
- 17 March 1986: Alf and Audrey Roberts move into No.11.
- 2 April 1986: Peter (David Lonsdale) and Susan Barlow celebrate their 21st birthday with a party.
- 9 April 1986: Kevin Webster and Terry Duckworth (Nigel Pivaro) fight in the Builder's Yard over Sally Seddon.
- 23 April 1986: Audrey Roberts opens a hairdressing salon in No.11.
- 28 April 1986: Hilda Ogden's deceased friend Ada Arrowsmith leaves Hilda and her cat, Rommel, in her will.
- 30 April 1986: Peter Barlow accuses his father Ken Barlow of neglecting him and his sister Susan Barlow for most of their lives.
- 7 May 1986: Bert Tilsley's (Peter Dudley) nephew, Ian Latimer (Michael Loney) arrives to stay and immediately falls for Brian's wife Gail Tilsley.
- 14 May 1986: Mike Baldwin marries Susan Barlow.
- 19 May 1986: Vera Duckworth (Elizabeth Dawn) collects the Vauxhall Nova prize she won in a competition that her husband Jack Duckworth (William Tarmey) entered in her name for "Husband of the Year."
- 21 May 1986: Sally Seddon is thrown out of the house by her disapproving father after spending the night with Kevin Webster.
- 28 May 1986: Gail Tilsley, tired of her old routine, succumbs to the advances of her husband Brian Tilsley's cousin Ian Latimer and starts sleeping with him. Hilda Ogden demands Sally Seddon to leave No.13 when she hears that Kevin Webster has been allowing her to stay over, but changes her mind when she witnesses Sally's mother forcing her to hand over her dole money to buy beer for her father.
- 4 June 1986: Alan Bradley attacks Terry Duckworth in the Rovers when he hears Terry has been complaining about him in front of Alan's daughter Jenny Bradley.
- 18 June 1986: A fuse box in The Rovers Return explodes and fire rips through the pub trapping Bet Lynch.
- 28 July 1986: Gail Tilsley reveals the she is pregnant, but she doesn't know if the father is her husband Brian Tilsley or his cousin Ian Latimer.
- 13 August 1986: The residents attend the Rovers' reopening.
- 22 September 1986: Betty Turpin comes back out of retirement to work at the Rovers.
- 8 October 1986: Kevin Webster marries Sally Seddon.
- 10 December 1986: Martin Platt and Jenny Bradley start dating.
1987
- 2 February 1987: A daughter, Sarah-Louise Tilsley (Lynsay King), is born to Gail and Brian Tilsley.
- 9 September 1987: Bet Lynch marries Alec Gilroy (Roy Barraclough).
- 25 December 1987: Hilda Ogden, leaves the show after 23 years amid a huge public outcry. The episode attracts 26.8 million viewers.
1988
- 9 November 1988: Mavis Riley (Thelma Barlow) marries Derek Wilton (Peter Baldwin).
1989
- 15 February 1989: Brian Tilsley is stabbed to death outside a nightclub whilst trying to save a woman from a gang of thugs.
- 12 April 1989: Shirley Armitage (Lisa Lewis) leaves Curly Watts (Kevin Kennedy) and Coronation Street.
- 16 August 1989: Mother of two, Gail Tilsley begins a relationship with Martin Platt who is ten years her junior.
- 20 September 1989: The residents wake up to the sight of the Community Centre and the factory being knocked down.
- 27 October 1989: Liz and Jim McDonald (Beverley Callard and Charles Lawson) first appear when they buy the house at number 11 from Alf Roberts.
- 4 December 1989: The 3000th episode of Coronation Street.
- 6 December 1989: Twins Steve and Andy McDonald (Simon Gregson and Nicholas Cochrane) first appear.
- 8 December 1989: Alan Bradley is hit and killed by a Blackpool tram while chasing his fiancée Rita Fairclough. The episode sets the record for the highest rated Coronation Street episode ever (26,930,000 viewers).
- 11 December 1989: Following Alan Bradley's death, his daughter Jenny Bradley identifies Alan's body.
- 15 December 1989: Alan Bradley's funeral takes place. Only his daughter Jenny Bradley attends, with Kevin and Sally Webster going to support her.
- 25 December 1989: Derek Wilton finds out that he has lost his job.
- 27 December 1989: Steve McDonald kicks a football through the Corner Shop window, smashing it.
1990s
1990
- 1 January 1990: After nine years of marriage, Deirdre Barlow rings in the New Year by throwing her husband Ken Barlow into the street after his Christmas Eve admission of a three-month affair with secretary Wendy Crozier.
- 24 December 1990: Sally Webster delivers a daughter in the back of Don Brennan's taxi on the way to hospital. The baby is named Rosie Webster because she is born on Rosamund Street.
- 25 December 1990: A son, David Tilsley, is born to Gail Tilsley and Martin Platt. Gail ends up in the hospital bed next to Sally Webster.
1991
- 2 January 1991: Ken Barlow's attempt at suicide is stopped by Bet Gilroy.
- 23 January 1991: First appearance of Raquel Wolstenhulme.
- 1 March 1991: Jenny Bradley leaves the Street.
- 10 July 1991: Percy Sugden sabotages Emily Bishop's attempts to sell No.3.
- 21 August 1991: Des Barnes set fire to his boat after a row with his wife Steph Barnes.
- 6 September 1991: Gail Tilsley proposes to Martin Platt.
- 27 September 1991: Gail Tilsley marries Martin Platt.
- 20 November 1991: Mike Baldwin moves into No. 4 Montreal House, Weatherfield Quays.
- 25 December 1991: Jealous that his ex-partner, Alma Sedgewick has been seeing Ken Barlow, Mike Baldwin lures Alma to bed. Des Foster makes a pass to Bet Gilroy, but she throws him out of the Rovers.
- 27 December 1991: Andy McDonald is beaten up by a gang who is after his twin brother Steve McDonald.
1992
- 1 January 1992: Liz McDonald goes into labour prematurely and delivers a daughter, Katie, who dies the next day.
1993
- 12 February 1993: Lisa Duckworth is killed by a passing car outside The Rovers due to roadworks on Rosamund Street.
- 12 March 1993: Maureen Naylor first appears.
1994
- 4 November 1994: Sally Webster and Kevin Webster have their second child, another daughter Sophie Webster.
- 25 November 1994: Deirdre Barlow marries Samir Rachid.
1995
- 4 January 1995 Denise Osbourne and Ken Barlow have a son Daniel Osbourne.
- 2 June 1995: Samir Rachid dies in hospital after being waylaid by a group of youths while on his way to donate a kidney to Tracy Barlow.
- 23 August 1995: Ivy Brennan dies of a stroke off-screen, a year after her final appearance.
- 16 October 1995: Bet Gilroy leaves Coronation Street
- 12 December 1995 Curly watts and Raquel watts get married
1997
- 21 February 1997: Joyce Smedley, Judy Mallett's mother, dies after being run over by Tony Horrocks while walking her dog.
- 7 April 1997: Derek Wilton dies from a Cardiac arrest during a road rage incident.
- 8 October 1997: Don Brennan dies after crashing Alma Baldwin's car into the viaduct. His death completes a reign of terror in which he set fire to Mike Baldwin's factory and drove his taxi into the River Irwell in an attempt to kill himself and Alma.
1998
- 26 January 1998: Hayley Patterson first appears as a supervisor in Firman's Freezers.
- 30 January 1998: 17-year-old Nick Tilsley marries his 16-year-old girlfriend Leanne Battersby.
- 18 March 1998: Ken Barlow's blind date, Babs Fanshawe, drops dead during their night out.
- 29 March 1998: Deirdre Rachid is sentenced to 18 months in prison for fraud, but is released three weeks later.
1999
- 1 January 1999: Alf Roberts dies from a heart attack during Nick Tilsley's birthday party.
- 21 April 1999: Roy Cropper marries transsexual Hayley Patterson.
2000s
2000
- 21 February 2000: Sarah-Louise Platt, at the age of 13, discovers that she is five months pregnant.[1]
- 4 June 2000: Sarah-Louise Platt gives birth to a baby daughter, Bethany Platt.
- 8 December 2000: After 40 hours of rehearsal, a special live episode of Coronation Street is broadcast to celebrate the programme's 40th anniversary. It is the first live episode since 1961 and features guest appearances by Prince Charles, Noddy Holder and Sir Trevor McDonald.[2]
2001
- 11 February 2001: Ken Barlow's daughter, Susan Barlow, is killed in a car accident.
- 13 April 2001: Toyah Battersby is raped in the ginnel beside The Rovers.
- 17 June 2001: Alma Baldwin dies of cervical cancer.
- 15 July 2001: A male adult internet stalker lures Sarah-Louise Platt to his home and holds her against her will after posing in a chat room as a 16-year-old.
- 26 December 2001: Emma and Curly Watts deliver a son, Ben Watts, at home on their settee. Norris Cole assists with Ben's birth.
2002
- 2002/2003: Nearly a year after his arrival in Weatherfield after Alma's funeral, Richard Hillman perpetuates a homicidal reign of terror in his desperate bid to save his property company "Kellett Holdings" from financial bankruptcy. In these ensuing course of events, Richard marries Gail Platt; leaves his business partner Duggie Ferguson to die; murders his ex-wife Patricia; attempts to kill his mother-in-law Audrey Roberts by setting her house on fire, before manipulating the events of her survival to convince her family and friends that she has Alzheimer's disease; bludgeons pub landlady Maxine Peacock to death with a crowbar amid trying to kill Audrey's friend Emily Bishop; and finally drowns in a canal after failing to kill Gail and her family in a suicide impact.
- 4 February 2002 Duggie Ferguson dies after falling from a fourth-story banister while arguing with his business partner Richard Hillman, who discovered Duggie's attempt to rip him off; rather than phone an ambulance for Duggie, however, Richard leaves him to die of his injuries and flees from the scene.
- 20 May 2002: Richard Hillman murders his ex-wife Patricia with a shovel after she threatens to expose his financial troubles to both Gail and the police.
- 10 June 2002: Bet Lynch returns to Coronation Street.
- 21 October 2002: Ken Barlow's disrespectful student Aidan Critchley crashes a car during a joy ride with his girlfriend Sarah-Louise Platt; both survive, but Sarah is left critically injured after Aidan fled from the scene rather than help her.
2003
- 13 January 2003: Richard Hillman bungles Maxine Peacock to death with a crowbar after she walked in his attempt to kill Emily Bishop
- 15 January 2003: The day after Emily's attack and Maxine's murder, Aidan Critchley is arrested for the crime - as Richard Hillman had already conjured a plan to frame him as revenge for Aidan's negligence over leaving Richard's stepdaughter Sarah Platt for dead.
- 5 February 2003: Toyah Battersby departs Coronation Street for London in Spider Nugent's juice van after learning from Fiz Brown that Maria Sutherland had become pregnant by Toyah's boyfriend, university lecturer John Arnley.
- 24 February 2003; On the night before they leave Weatherfield, Richard Hillman confessions his homicidal activities to his wife Gail Platt and flees from the street after she promptly breaks up with him in response.
- 12 March 2003: Richard Hillman returns from hiding with a suicidal impact, abducting his wife Gail Platt and her friend in an attempt to kill them by gassing them alive with his car engine. However, after Gail's mother Audrey Roberts walked in on Richard's attempt, he droves their Ford Galaxy into a canal while being chased by Gail's ex-husband Martin and his friends. Gail and her family survive the incident while Richard dies after drowning.
- 5 October 2003: Coronation Street's first homosexual storyline is in motion when Todd Grimshaw attempts to kiss Nick Tilsley, the brother of Todd's fiancée, Sarah-Louise Platt.
- 20 October 2003: Cilla Battersby-Brown arrives in Weatherfield.
- 15 December 2003: Martin Platt crashes his car, and is pulled out by Tommy Harris just before the vehicle explodes in a fireball.
2004
- Elsie Tanner and Bill Gregory die in a road accident in Portugal.
- 9 February 2004: Tracy Barlow delivers a baby girl with Roy Cropper, who believes he is the Amy Barlow's biological father, in attendance during labour. It is only later that Tracy reveals Amy's real father is Steve McDonald. Steve's wife Karen McDonald discovers that Amy was Steve's child later at their wedding a week later.
- 8 March 2004: Janice Battersby drops a lit cigarette in the Underworld storeroom, setting the place alight. She is rescued by Nick Tilsley.
- 24 May 2004: Sarah-Louise Platt finds out that Todd Grimshaw has been seeing Karl Foster behind her back; this leads to a massive brawl in the street between their mothers Gail Platt and Eileen Grimshaw.
- 1 June 2004: Sarah-Louise Platt and Todd Grimshaw's son Billy Platt is born. But he later dies, due to being born premature.
- 24 November 2004: Dev Alahan's corner shops are blown up by his crazed ex-girlfriend, Maya Sharma. Dev and his wife Sunita Alahan are nearly killed in the Coronation Street shop alight, as her plan was to set the last shop on fire with them held hostage inside, so they would die. Luckily, they are rescued and Maya is sent to prison.
- 24 December 2004: Karen McDonald gets revenge on Tracy Barlow by driving away in her car that she won on a TV show called "Top of the Tree", unaware that Tracy's daughter Amy Barlow was in the back seat. She sets the car alight, tricking Tracy to think that Amy died in the fire. Although it turns out that Amy is alive and unharmed, leading to Karen's exit.
2005
- 4 March 2005: Tommy Harris dies after being fatally hit over the head with a wrench by his 18-year-old diabetic daughter Katy Harris, who later dies of a self-induced sugar overdose. Tommy's wife Angela is the chief suspect for his murder until she is found not guilty, but she is still imprisoned for pleading guilty to protect Katy (she was a witness to the murder).
- 8 April 2005: Ken Barlow and Deirdre Rachid remarry.
- 10 April 2005: Ray Langton dies in The Rovers Return during Ken Barlow and Ray's ex-wife Deirdre Barlow's wedding reception as a result of stomach cancer.
- 19 September 2005: Shelley Unwin jilts husband-to-be Charlie Stubbs at the altar.
- 24 October 2005: Danny Baldwin discovers that Mike Baldwin is not his uncle, but his father.
- 31 October 2005: Status Quo perform at Cilla Brown and Les Battersby's wedding reception and offer Candice Stowe a job as their hairdresser.
2006
- February 2006: Emily Bishop meets her husband Ernest Bishop's killer and has trouble forgiving him, leading to a crisis of religious faith.
- 17 March 2006: Mike Baldwin is diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease.
- 7 April 2006: Mike Baldwin dies in the arms of Ken Barlow after suffering a heart attack outside his factory, ending 30 years in Coronation Street.
- 31 May 2006: Ronnie Clayton kills an old-age pensioner in a hit-and-run accident and tries to frame her boyfriend Steve McDonald.
- 14 August 2006: Jason Grimshaw jilts Sarah-Louise Platt at the registry office, escaping through a toilet window and sending a text message that reads "Sorry. Can't do it. Luv J x".
- 15 September 2006: Claire Peacock is sectioned under the mental health act after pushing her son, Freddie Peacock, into the road while in his pram. He is unharmed, but Claire is diagnosed with severe post-natal depression.
- 9 October 2006: Fred Elliott dies from a heart attack on the day of his wedding to Bev Unwin, during a visit to Audrey Roberts. After telling Audrey he will marry Bev, he collapses and dies in Audrey's hallway on his way out. Audrey is subsequently vilified as a "scarlet woman".
- 20 October 2006: While on a family holiday in Paris, Rosie Webster plots to run away with her boyfriend Craig Harris to start a new life together in Berlin. However, Rosie tells Craig she can't go through with the plan at the last minute, and Craig leaves for Berlin, alone.
- 27 November 2006: Cilla Battersby-Brown is diagnosed with skin cancer after she finds a mole on her body. Her husband Les Battersby, her son Chesney Brown and her daughter Fiz Brown initially think that she is having an affair (due to Cilla refusing to sleep with Les). Although she is given the all-clear she pretends that it is terminal in a bid to get enough sympathy money for a trip to Florida, however, she eventually confesses everything to Les, Chesney, Fiz and Kirk Sutherland.
- 1 December 2006: Danny Baldwin leaves Weatherfield after his wife Frankie Baldwin chooses to be with his son Jamie Baldwin over him. Danny later privately plots to break up the pair, leading to Frankie's own departure from Weatherfield on New Year's Eve.
- 13 December 2006 – 1 January 2007: Violet Wilson finds she is pregnant with Jamie Baldwin's baby, but she loses the baby to an ectopic pregnancy, when she experiences bleeding, shoulder pains and collapses in agony. Violet has an emergency operation to remove both her affected fallopian tube and the baby and was told she had no chance/little chance of having children in the future, although later becomes pregnant by Sean Tully in late 2007.
2007
- 10 January 2007: Charlie Stubbs tries to kill David Platt by drowning him in a bath after finding out that David knew about his affair with Maria Connor. Maria eventually saves him.
- 12 January 2007: Tracy Barlow tries to murder cheating her boyfriend Charlie Stubbs by hitting him twice over the head with a statue. She attempts to make the attack look like self-defense, but when Charlie later dies in hospital, she is arrested and refused bail. David Platt agrees to help her out by pretending that he saw her killing Charlie by "self defense" in order that she sleeps with him. Tracy agrees.
- 26 February 2007: The street has to be evacuated when a suspected bomb is discovered in the Peacocks' back garden.
- 28 February 2007: Charlie Stubbs' funeral occurs with Maria Connor in tears. After the funeral, Maria and David Platt have a heart-to-heart and David attempts to kiss Maria. Maria is shocked by this, and tells him that they will never happen.
- 2 April 2007: After a nerve-wrecking trial, Tracy Barlow is shocked to be found guilty in court. She is sentenced to life in prison, with a minimum of 15 years before she is eligible for parole. This means that Tracy cannot be released until Christmas Eve 2010.
- 18 May 2007: Claire Peacock wakes to find her baby Freddie Peacock's bedroom in flames. She is overwhelmed and knocked unconscious landing at the bottom of the stairs, but is saved by Kirk Sutherland and Jamie Baldwin. Freddie, however, is missing. It is later revealed he was taken by Casey Carswell, a friend of Claire's whom she met when giving counselling. She later went on to have a brief affair with Claire's husband Ashley Peacock, that nearly brought about the end of the Peacocks' marriage.
- 4 June 2007: Paul Connor is killed in a car accident after kidnapping Leanne Battersby and holding her hostage in his car boot. He skips a red light and ploughs into a lorry. Leanne suffers minor injuries and is released from hospital the next day.
- 17 September 2007: Bethany Platt is rushed to hospital after swallowing ecstasy tablets that her uncle David Platt has hidden in a doll. Bethany survives, but David is disowned and thrown out by the family.
- 12 October 2007: Cilla Battersby-Brown leaves Weatherfield for South Africa.
- 19 October 2007 Rosie Webster begins an affair with her teacher John Stape who is also going out with his girlfriend Fiz Brown at the time. The affair is later exposed on Christmas Day 2007 and results in Rosie's father Kevin Webster's arrest for assault when he beats John up.
- 31 October 2007: Sarah-Louise Platt marries Jason Grimshaw. Sarah's brother David Platt drives his car into a canal and is temporarily missing.
- 30 December 2007: Sarah Platt and her daughter Bethany Platt leave for Italy, so that Sarah can work for her uncle Stephen Reid. Earlier she had planted drugs on her half-brother David Platt and when she confessed this to her husband Jason Grimshaw at the station he walked out on her.
2008
- 4 January 2008: Liam Connor (Rob James-Collier) and Maria Sutherland (Samia Smith) decided to go on a New Year's mini break to the Lake District. However, while they were there Liam fell down a ravine while trying to rescue Ozzy. Maria rushed off for help in the dark, and finally made it back to the hotel they were staying at. The mountain rescue team were called and set off to find the casualty. Liam is shown raising his head to look around before the end credits, although he becomes unconscious again shortly afterwards.
- 7 January 2008: Tina McIntyre (Michelle Keegan) makes her first appearance.
- 14 January 2008: Ryan Connor (Ben Thompson) discovers from his biological father, Nick Neeson (Robert Horwell) that he is his son, after thinking Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh) was his mother since he was born. In shock after hearing this, he runs away from home, leaving Michelle frightened for Ryan's safety.
- 18 January 2008: After 34 years on the show, Vera Duckworth (Liz Dawn) dies of heart failure. Her husband Jack Duckworth (Bill Tarmey), Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) and his girlfriend Molly Compton (Vicky Binns) were at The Rovers Return when she died. When Jack returns later, he finds Vera in her chair and, thinking she is asleep, he talks to her normally and asks her for a cup of tea. Without a response, Jack finds that she has died.
- 11 February 2008: Liam Connor (Rob James-Collier) and Maria Sutherland (Samia Smith) marry, after which Maria has a showdown with Carla Connor (Alison King) in the toilets at the reception and slaps Carla before warning her to stay away from Liam.
- 22 February 2008: Violet Wilson (Jenny Platt) gives birth to her son, Dylan Wilson in The Rovers Return with Dylan's father Sean Tully (Antony Cotton) at her side and Marcus Dent (Charlie Condou) delivers him. Later on Violet is taken to hospital. At the hospital with herself and Dylan, both Sean and Violet's boyfriend Jamie Baldwin (Rupert Hill) are there.
- 14 March 2008: David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) pushes his mother Gail Platt (Helen Worth) down the stairs after discovering that she took his girlfriend Tina McIntyre (Michelle Keegan) to have an abortion. The episode aired on Gail's ex-husband Richard Hillman's (Brian Capron) five-year death anniversary.
- 30 April 2008: Maria Connor (Samia Smith) gives birth to her stillborn baby Paul Connor Jr.
- 28 May 2008: After chasing a gang led by Chesney Brown's (Sam Aston) schoolmate Kenzie Judd (Jack Cooper) away from the café, Jerry Morton (Michael Starke) collapses from a heart attack and is rushed to hospital.
- 6 June 2008: Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) and Dan Mason (Matthew Crompton) feud in The Rovers Return, and Dan hit Steve by accident, so Steve hit Dan with a crate and threw his phone down the cellar, Steve shut the door, locking Dan in. Dan is found by Ryan Connor in the morning and is rushed to hospital.
- 3 September 2008: Mel Morton (Emma Edmondson) and her friend Abi Sharpe (Rachael Elizabeth) are attacked by a girl gang outside a bar. Abi is rushed to hospital after receiving a blow to the head with a glass bottle.
- 17 October 2008: Liam Connor (Rob James-Collier) is struck by a car and killed outside a nightclub by a driver hired by Tony Gordon (Gray O'Brien) whilst celebrating Tony's stag night.
- 20 October 2008: Rosie Webster (Helen Flanagan) is kidnapped by her ex-lover John Stape (Graeme Hawley) and is held captive inside his home for five weeks.
- 3 December 2008: At Tony Gordon (Gray O'Brien) and Carla Connor's (Alison King) wedding reception, a drunken Sally Webster (Sally Dynevor) reveals Carla's affair with Liam Connor (Rob James-Collier) to Liam's widow Maria Connor (Samia Smith) and plays her daughter Rosie Webster's (Helen Flanagan) mobile phone footage of Liam and Carla kissing as proof of her claims.

- 12 January 2009: Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) and Molly Compton (Vicky Binns) marry.
- 26 January 2009: Sian Powers (Sacha Parkinson) makes her first appearance, as a friend of Sophie Webster (Brooke Vincent).
- 6 February 2009: During a showdown at Underworld, Tony Gordon (Gray O'Brien) confesses to his wife Carla Connor (Alison King) that he did indeed have her lover Liam Connor (Rob James-Collier) killed. Horrified, Carla makes a quick getaway, leaving Tony distraught.
- 9 March 2009: Ryan Connor (Ben Thompson) asks Sian Powers (Sacha Parkinson) out and she accepts. Ryan later tells her he is interested in her, and kisses her.
- 13 March 2009: On the day of Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) and Becky Granger's (Katherine Kelly) first wedding, Becky gets so drunk that the registrar refuses to marry them.
- 30 March 2009: A huge fire breaks out at the Bookies flat after a drunk Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) drops his lit cigarette to the floor leaving him and his son Simon Barlow (Alex Bain) trapped inside. As the fire brigade arrive, Luke Strong (Craig Kelly) and Tony Gordon (Gray O'Brien) break in and rescue Peter and Simon just as the flames explode through the windows.
- 27 April 2009: Paula Carp (Sharon Duce) reveals to her daughter Julie Carp (Katy Cavanagh) that her father is Colin Grimshaw (Edward de Souza), who had slept with her when she was 14 and he was 38.
- 8 May 2009: Ken Barlow (William Roache) confesses to his wife Deirdre Barlow (Anne Kirkbride) that he was having an affair with Martha Fraser (Stephanie Beacham).
- 1 July 2009: Maria Connor (Samia Smith) goes into labour and gives birth to her son Liam Connor Jr. on Southport Beach. Tony Gordon (Gray O'Brien) is forced to play midwife and deliver the baby.
- 14 August 2009: Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) and Becky Granger (Katherine Kelly) are finally married at the second attempt but during the reception at The Rovers, the police raid the place searching for drugs and find them in Becky's bag. The police are unaware that they were actually planted there by Becky's ex-boyfriend Slug (Marshall Lancaster) and her arch-enemy DC Hooch (Dominic Carter). Becky is arrested and is forced to spend her wedding night in a police cell.
- 1 October 2009: John Stape (Graeme Hawley) and Fiz Brown (Jennie McAlpine) get married.
- 19 October 2009: Luke Strong (Craig Kelly) flees the country after fleecing Rosie Webster (Helen Flanagan) out of £90,000.
- 30 October 2009: Tony Gordon (Gray O'Brien) suffers a heart attack and is found by Roy Cropper (David Neilson) who rushes him to hospital.
- 19 November 2009: After a showdown between Tony Gordon (Gray O'Brien) and Roy Cropper (David Neilson) at Weatherfield Canal, Tony hands himself into the police and finally confesses to having Liam Connor (Rob James-Collier) murdered and trying to drown Roy.
- 21 December 2009: Sophie Webster (Brooke Vincent) commits to Christianity by baptism.
- 25 December 2009: Sally Webster (Sally Dynevor) tells her husband Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) that she has breast cancer.

- 8 January 2010: Gail Platt (Helen Worth) gets married for the fifth time, to Joe McIntyre (Reece Dinsdale).
- 8 February 2010: Joe McIntyre (Reece Dinsdale) drowns at the Lake District after an attempt to fake his own death goes wrong.
- 12 March 2010: Simon Barlow (Alex Bain) disappears in Blackpool while on an outing with his grandfather George Wilson (Anthony Valentine) and his wife Eve Wilson (Sabina Franklyn). He later manages to find his own way home.
- 5 April 2010: Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) slaps Rita Sullivan (Barbara Knox) during an argument over Lewis Archer (Nigel Havers).
- 11 April 2010: Sian Powers' (Sacha Parkinson) relationship with Ryan Connor (Ben Thompson) hits a troubled patch when the couple have a big row and break up. An upset Sian goes to see her girlfriend Sophie Webster (Brooke Vincent) after an emotional conversation, Sophie kisses Sian. This is the first lesbian kiss in the soap's history, and leaves both Sophie and Sian very confused, and emotionally troubled.
- 12 April 2010: Sophie Webster (Brooke Vincent) travels to Southport to talk with her girlfriend Sian Powers (Sacha Parkinson). Sian coldly tells her that, due to that kiss, she is disgusted, shocked, and most confused, and they cannot be friends any more.
- 23 April 2010: A confused Sian Powers (Sacha Parkinson) returns to Weatherfield to confront her girlfriend Sophie Webster (Brooke Vincent). Since their first kiss. she has developed an attraction for Sophie, and now deeply misses her. Both girls talk through their mixed up emotions, things become clear; then Sian kisses Sophie. They now decide to be together, going out, as a couple, but in secret.
- 10 May 2010: Blanche Hunt (Maggie Jones) is laid to rest, after passing away in Portugal. Her funeral also marks the return of her granddaughter Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford).
- 9 June 2010: Fugitive Tony Gordon (Gray O'Brien) returns to the street and plans to hold his wife Carla Connor (Alison King), Hayley Cropper (Julie Hesmondhalgh) and his former lover Maria Connor (Samia Smith) hostage in Underworld. He enlists the help of his former cellmate Robbie Sloan (James Fleet) who ties up and gags Carla in the factory, and lures Hayley by telling her Carla has had an accident. Maria stumbles into the kidnap by accident. Tony shoots Robbie and later releases Maria and Hayley, although keeps Carla hostage and sets the factory on fire. Carla manages to untie herself and escape at the last minute, but Tony decides to kill himself by standing at the heart of the explosion. The factory explodes, with the residents of Weatherfield watching in horror.
- 16 July 2010: Sophie Webster (Brooke Vincent) and Sian Powers (Sacha Parkinson) plan to go to their school prom together. For two days, Sian had debilitating stomach pains. Sophie accuses Sian of faking an illness to avoid going to the prom. Sian later bumps into her ex-lover Ryan Connor (Ben Thompson), he arranges to go on the bus to the prom with Sian; Sophie being a committee member had to go several hours earlier. Ryan needs to impress Sian, as he is keen to win her back as his girlfriend. He is horrified when Sian collapses screaming in pain due to a ruptured appendix, at the Rosamund Street bus stop. Sian is in agony and is rushed to the hospital. Meanwhile, Sophie is waiting at the prom, for Sian. Her father Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) arrives and tells Sophie that Sian is in hospital. A very upset and anxious Sophie has to see Sian, soonest. Sophie and Kevin are told that Sian has had an operation, and everything will be fine, and she can see visitors. Sophie tells Kevin she wants to be on her own with Sian. Sophie talks to a drowsy Sian, and she drifts to sleep. Sophie then checks that no one is looking, she leans towards Sian and whispers, "I love you", then tenderly she kisses Sian on the lips. This is Sophie's first declaration of her love for Sian.
- 30 July 2010: Colin Fishwick (David Crellin) dies suddenly during a heated argument with John Stape (Graeme Hawley) and Charlotte Hoyle (Becky Hindley). They dispose of his body in Underworld.
- 30 August 2010: On Roy (David Neilson) and Hayley Cropper's (Julie Hesmondhalgh) wedding day, Claire Peacock (Julia Haworth) reveals that Sophie Webster (Brooke Vincent) and Sian Powers (Sacha Parkinson) are in a lesbian relationship.
- 2 September 2010: Sophie Webster (Brooke Vincent) tells her father Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) and her sister Rosie Webster(Helen Flanagan) she is in love with Sian Powers (Sacha Parkinson). Sophie and Sian are scared their parents will prevent them from seeing each other. They decide to run away to Sheffield, and live together. Eventually, they both return to Weatherfield.
- 8 November 2010: Jack Duckworth (Bill Tarmey) dies of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma sitting in the armchair that his beloved wife Vera (Liz Dawn) died in.
- 6 December 2010: An explosion in The Joinery bar destroys the viaduct bridge causing a tram to derail and destroy The Kabin and the corner shop, killing Molly Dobbs (Vicky Binns) and Ashley Peacock (Steven Arnold). This also causes a fire at Number 13. Meanwhile, John Stape (Graeme Hawley) has murdered his stalker Charlotte Hoyle (Becky Hindley), and hides her body amongst the rubble. John's wife Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) gives birth to their daughter, Hope, and an injured Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) marries Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) in hospital while Carla Connor (Alison King) watches.
- 10 December 2010: After being told that Charlotte Hoyle (Becky Hindley) had severe brain damage, John Stape (Graeme Hawley) decided to turn off her life-support machine. Meanwhile, Norris Cole (Malcolm Hebden), Emily Bishop (Eileen Derbyshire) and Mary Taylor (Patti Clare) discover that Rita Sullivan (Barbara Knox) has been trapped in The Kabin the whole time.
- 17 December 2010: At Molly Dobbs' (Vicky Binns) funeral, her husband Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) discovers her affair with Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell), and that he is the father of Molly's son, Jack. Kevin is thrown out of the Webster household as a result.
- 31 December 2010: Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) is attacked by an unknown assailant, and Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) is thought to be the culprit. Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) leaves Weatherfield, not disclosing where he is going, much to the dismay of his daughter Sophie Webster (Brooke Vincent), though returns a week later. Later, Sophie and Sian Powers (Sacha Parkinson) sleep together for the first time, at the Websters' home, as Sophie surrenders her virginity to Sian, in a night of passion.
2011
- 3 January 2011: Sally Webster (Sally Dynevor) catches her daughter, Sophie Webster (Brooke Vincent), and Sian Powers (Sacha Parkinson) in bed together, hugging and kissing. This, after Sian had been trying on a new long red dress she had just purchased. Sally is shocked that they are having sex together. Sophie tells Sally that Sian is the only good thing she has, and they are both in love with each other. Sally tells Sophie to get out the house. Both girls go to Eileen Grimshaw's (Sue Cleaver) house and disclose Sally had caught them "doing it", and in bed together. Both girls stay for a few days.
- 14 January 2011: Claire Peacock (Julia Haworth) flees Coronation Street with her two children, Joshua and Freddie, after confessing to Becky McDonald (Katherine Kelly) that she attacked Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) on New Year's Eve.
- 3 March 2011: Carla Connor (Alison King) sends Maria Connor (Samia Smith) to Frank Foster's (Andrew Lancel) house for a business meeting, although this ends with Frank attempting to rape Maria. The episode ends with Maria leaving in a taxi crying.
- 11 March 2011: Sophie Webster (Brooke Vincent) falls from a church roof, landing on top of a car after a heated argument with Sian Powers (Sacha Parkinson). The pair later reconcile at the hospital, where Sophie is in a critical condition. Sophie's parents blame Sian for the accident, but later realise she was not to blame. After her mother Sally (Sally Dynevor) argues with her father Kevin (Michael Le Vell) upon learning he knew Sophie was drunk before she fell from the church roof, but failed to act, Sian shouts at the pair. At first, they are disgusted Sian, who is a Christian like Sophie, would dare to speak to adults like that, but finally realise she is right and see sense. Sophie recovers and Sian is invited to move back into the Webster home.
- 25 March 2011: Janice Battersby (Vicky Entwistle) leaves after 14 years with new boyfriend Trevor Dean (Steve Jackson) to go travelling around the world.
- 8 April 2011: David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) marries Kylie Turner (Paula Lane).
- 14 April 2011: Jim McDonald (Charles Lawson) leaves Weatherfield after he robs a bank to try to buy The Rovers from his son Steve (Simon Gregson). Liz McDonald (Beverley Callard) leaves shortly after to live with Andy (Nicholas Cochrane) in Spain.
- 24 April 2011: Jamie Baldwin (Rupert Hill) and Violet Wilson (Jenny Platt) returned for one episode in London when Sean Tully (Antony Cotton) goes to see his son, Dylan. Also, Todd Grimshaw (Bruno Langley) returns to visit Eileen (Sue Cleaver) and Jason (Ryan Thomas) for Easter and they meet Todd's new boyfriend. Later, after a short confrontation with Gail McIntyre (Helen Worth), he promises to keep in touch with her more by telephone and they hug.
- 12 May 2011: Dennis Tanner (Philip Lowrie) returns to Weatherfield, after 43 years, after meeting Sophie Webster (Brooke Vincent) and Sian Powers (Sacha Parkinson) volunteering at a soup kitchen. Some time later, after walking on the Street he spots "Dennis Tanner 1951" that he had carved into the window sill of No.11 many years before. A woman approaches him and he looks up to see Rita Sullivan (Barbara Knox), who was most surprised to see Dennis, after so many years. They immediately struck up a friendship, talking about old times in the street.
- 3 June 2011: John Stape's (Graeme Hawley) past comes back to haunt him when Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) started to ask questions about Charlotte Hoyle's (Becky Hindley) death. Charlotte's mother, Dorothy (Jean Fergusson), finds his drivers license and works his true identity, then John ties up Chesney and her. He goes to the factory and helps dig out Colin Fishwick (David Crellin), but Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) catches him red handed. He then kidnaps his and Fiz's daughter, Hope, but when Fiz gives chase, she is run over by Owen Armstrong's (Ian Puleston-Davies) van. When confessing to killing Charlotte, John hands Hope back to Fiz. Upon doing this, he stepped backwards off the roof to kill himself. Later, the audience is informed by the detective John's body has disappeared.
- 13 June 2011: Kylie Platt (Paula Lane) and Tina McIntyre (Michelle Keegan) fight in The Rovers Return over Tina's lovelife and Kylie's insults.
- 16 June 2011: Stella Price (Michelle Collins) buys The Rovers from Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson). She is later joined by her boyfriend Karl Munro (John Michie) and her daughter Eva (Catherine Tyldesley).
- 1 July 2011: At her 30th birthday party, Leanne Barlow (Jane Danson) discovers her biological mother is Stella Price (Michelle Collins) and storms out, as Stella had abandoned her as a baby.
- 15 July 2011: Leanne Barlow (Jane Danson) falls down the stairs when chasing after her husband Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) following an argument. Leanne is later told that she has miscarried her baby, and that she may never be able to have biological children.
- 4 September 2011: After celebrating their engagement at the Bistro, Carla Connor (Alison King) gets drunk and runs over Stella Price (Michelle Collins), before crashing into the bookies. Carla's fiancé Frank Foster (Andrew Lancel) was in the passenger seat at the time, but switches places with Carla, making the police think it was him. Stella is rushed to hospital and survives the accident and Frank is not arrested or charged.
- 7 September 2011: Kirsty Soames (Natalie Gumede) first appears as a new love interest for Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall).
- 19 September 2011: It is the night before Carla Connor (Alison King) and Frank Foster's (Andrew Lancel) wedding. Carla calls off the wedding because she is in love with Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne). As a result, Frank rapes Carla in her flat.
- 24 October 2011: Sian Powers (Sacha Parkinson) returns to Weatherfield early from a holiday in France with her mother. Sophie Webster (Brooke Vincent) is surprised to see Sian; and is feeling guilty for kissing Amber Kalirai (Nikki Patel) on a night out the previous evening. Sophie tells Sian that, she loves her, wants to be with her forever, as life without her is worthless, and that she wants to marry Sian. Sian is overjoyed by this proposal of a civil partnership with Sophie.
- 28 October 2011: After returning to Weatherfield and kidnapping Rosie Webster (Helen Flanagan), John Stape (Graeme Hawley) is involved in a car accident. On his deathbed, he confesses the murders of Charlotte Hoyle (Becky Hindley) and Joy Fishwick (Doreen Mantle), to his wife Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) and the police.
- 2 December 2011: Sophie Webster (Brooke Vincent) and Sian Powers (Sacha Parkinson) attempt to elope to Gretna Green when they are unable to receive consent from Sally (Sally Dynevor) and Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) to get married in Weatherfield. They are stopped by Sally and Rosie Webster (Helen Flanagan) at the coach station, and Sally agrees to let them marry in Weatherfield.
- 19 December 2011: Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) falls down the stairs after an argument with Becky McDonald (Katherine Kelly). She later claims that Becky pushed her and she miscarried her twins.
- 24 December 2011: Seventeen-year-old Katy Armstrong (Georgia May Foote) goes into labour while at the annual nativity play. The baby's father, Chesney Brown (Sam Aston), is on duty when he gets the news and manages to get to the hall, just before she is about to give birth. She gives birth to a baby boy, whom she names Joseph. The baby was delivered by Anna Windass (Debbie Rush) and Chesney's sister Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine).
- 25 December 2011: Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) proposes to his girlfriend Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) and asks her to move in with him, with their daughter, Amy (Elle Mulvaney). When Steve's ex-wife, Becky (Katherine Kelly), finds out about the engagement, she returns to her flat and tries to commit suicide by lighting her flat on fire. She is rescued by Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) and survives the fire.
- 30 December 2011: Sian Powers (Sacha Parkinson) jilts Sophie Webster (Brooke Vincent) at the altar after discovering that Sophie kissed Amber Kalirai (Nikki Patel). Sian then leaves Weatherfield, devastating Sophie.
2012
- 23 January 2012: Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) marries Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford). At their wedding reception, Steve is just about to say his speech, when his ex-wife Becky (Katherine Kelly), hands him an envelope, which contains Tracy's medical records. It is revealed that Tracy miscarried with her twins, the day before she fell down the stairs and blamed Becky for the miscarriage. Steve is disgusted that Tracy framed Becky as a "murderer" and leaves The Rovers Return. Becky goes to the airport, with Steve following her. Becky tells him she can't stay in Weatherfield and departs for Barbados, with new boyfriend Danny Stratton (Jeremy Sheffield) and his son, Billy. Steve returns to Weatherfield, heartbroken, while Becky travels first class with Danny. When he asks does she have any regrets, she informs him: "Regret's are for people on the ground. We're heading for the stars".
- 10 February 2012: Rosie Webster (Helen Flanagan) leaves Weatherfield to participate in a reality television show, ending her relationship with Jason Grimshaw (Ryan Thomas) in the process.
- 5 March 2012: Frank Foster (Andrew Lancel) takes charge of the Underworld and vows to fire all the employees, turn it into a warehouse and drive into the sunset with lover Jenny Sumner (Niky Wardley). He has now become an enemy to many of the residents. Someone has had enough and Sean Tully (Antony Cotton) and Julie Carp (Katy Cavanagh) discover Frank's lifeless body on the floor of Underworld. Sally Webster (Sally Dynevor) is found standing over his body but claims she wasn't capable of murder. She is just one of six suspects as the others are: Carla Connor (Alison King), Frank's ex-fiancée and business partner; Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne), Carla's lover; Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh), Carla's best friend and employee of Frank's; Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell), Sally's ex-husband; and Anne Foster (Gwen Taylor), Frank's mother.
- 19 March 2012: After Frank Foster's (Andrew Lancel) funeral, Sally Webster (Sally Dynevor) goes over to Anne Foster's (Gwen Taylor) to make sure she's okay and she then learns Anne murdered Frank. Sally tries to run out tripping over the carpet in the hall, hitting her head on the banister and leaving her unconscious. Anne decides not to phone an ambulance and instead packs her bags to flee the country. Carla Connor (Alison King) then goes over to Anne's to find out if Anne knew Frank raped Carla. Anne then admits to Carla that she overheard Frank taunting Carla in the factory the night he was murdered about how he raped her and got away with it and he might try again, she then went on to admit to Carla that she murdered Frank. Carla finds Sally upstairs and goes to phone an ambulance. Anne then threatens Carla with a knife and says she will kill her too if she phones the police. Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) then goes to Anne's as he was getting worried about Sally, he looks through a glass panel in the door and sees Anne threatening Carla with the knife and goes in the backdoor to save her. He then phones an ambulance for Sally and Anne hands herself in to the police.
- 16 April 2012: Street veteran Betty Williams (Betty Driver) dies peacefully in her sleep. Terry Duckworth (Nigel Pivaro) also returns to the Street and intends to build a strip club, he attacks his son Tommy (Chris Fountain) before realising his true identity.
- 4 June 2012: Rita Sullivan (Barbara Knox) is kidnapped by loan shark, Rick Neelan (Greg Wood), on her wedding day to Dennis Tanner (Philip Lowrie) as Rita's friend, Tina McIntyre's (Michelle Keegan), boyfriend Tommy Duckworth (Chris Fountain) owes money to Rick. Tina and Kirsty Soames (Natalie Gumede) later sort Rick out for good.
- 16 July 2012: Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) and Carla Connor (Alison King) leave Weatherfield after realising that Peter needs a break from the Street, his ex-wife Leanne (Jane Danson) and son Simon (Alex Bain).
- 23 July 2012: Karl Munro (John Michie) and Sunita Alahan's (Shobna Gulati) affair is uncovered by Stella Price (Michelle Collins), Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley) and Leanne Barlow (Jane Danson). Stella then slaps Sunita for sleeping with Karl behind her back.
- 5 September 2012: Stella Price's (Michelle Collins) mother, Gloria (Sue Johnston), arrives in Weatherfield.
- 9 September 2012: Kirsty Soames (Natalie Gumede) goes into labour after months of feuding results in Tina McIntyre (Michelle Keegan) pushing her over in The Rovers Return. She later gives birth to daughter Ruby Soames in the back room, aided by Marcus Dent (Charlie Condou) and Gloria Price (Sue Johnston).
- 21 November 2012: Kirsty Soames (Natalie Gumede) switches the sewing machine on at Underworld while Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) is fixing and she gets her hand caught in it. She later threatens for her to leave her fiancé, Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) alone.
- 30 November 2012: Sick of Kirsty Soames' (Natalie Gumede) scheming, Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) attacks her in Underworld, leading to a fight. The fight is broken up by Rob Donovan (Marc Baylis) and Tommy Duckworth (Chris Fountain).
- 12 December 2012: Leanne Barlow (Jane Danson) and Carla Connor (Alison King) share an almighty catfight outside Underworld, with Rob Donovan (Marc Baylis) and Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) having to stop them.
- 25 December 2012: Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) discovers that fiancée Leanne Barlow (Jane Danson) visited ex-husband Peter (Chris Gascoyne) on the morning of their wedding, leaves her at the altar and later that evening sleeps with his sister-in-law, Kylie Platt (Paula Lane).
- 31 December 2012: Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) collapses of carbon monoxide poisoning.
2013
- 10 January 2013: Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) and Leanne Barlow (Jane Danson) finally remarry after temporarily splitting over Christmas, but Nick's sister-in-law Kylie Platt (Paula Lane) whom he slept with on Christmas Day discovers she is pregnant.
- 23 January 2013: Kirsty Soames (Natalie Gumede) falls down the stairs after trying to hit Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) after their failed wedding, when Kirsty exposes Tyrone's affair with Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine). In hospital, Kirsty lies to the police that Tyrone has been physically abusing her, leading to Tyrone's arrest.
- 13 March 2013: Karl Munro (John Michie) blows up Jason Grimshaw's (Ryan Thomas) van after kidnapping Stella Price (Michelle Collins) to get revenge on Jason because he moved into The Rovers Return with Stella. Paul Kershaw (Tony Hirst) proposes to Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver).
- 18 March 2013: Karl Munro (John Michie) sets fire to The Rovers Return after escaping the Full Monty concert organised by the fire service. Stella Price (Michelle Collins) is saved by Karl, but falls unconscious shortly afterwards, but recovers soon after in hospital. Karl is rescued by firefighter Toni Griffiths (Tara Moran), who dies when the roof collapses. Sunita Alahan (Shobna Gulati) is also left unconscious, but in a worse state.
- 29 March 2013: Kirsty Soames (Natalie Gumede) pleads guilty at Tyrone Dobbs' (Alan Halsall) trial after slapping Julie Carp (Katy Cavanagh), because she doesn't think their daughter Ruby would be safe with her and so Tyrone would get custody of Ruby.
- 3 April 2013: Sunita Alahan (Shobna Gulati) dies in hospital after Karl Munro (John Michie) removes her oxygen tube because she was recovering and Karl didn't want her to tell anyone that he started the fire at The Rovers Return. Kirsty Soames (Natalie Gumede) is imprisoned for abusing Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall).
- 19 April 2013: Sinead Tinker (Katie McGlynn) first appears as a new love interest for Chesney Brown (Sam Aston).
- 11 May 2013: David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) collapses and suffers a seizure due to his epilepsy.
- 26 May 2013: The Rovers Return reopens.

- 5 August 2013: David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) and Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) are involved in a car accident after Nick finds out that David knows about him sleeping with his wife Kylie Platt (Paula Lane) and is about to go home and tell his wife, Leanne Tilsley (Jane Danson), but David is worried that it will ruin his relationship with Kylie, so he unfastens Nick's seatbelt and causes the car to swerve and collide with a lorry. David is unharmed, but Nick is rushed to hospital in a coma.
- 12 August 2013: Tina McIntyre (Michelle Keegan) throws a glass of wine in Tracy Barlow's (Kate Ford) face after she makes snide remarks about her surrogacy battle. She then flees to the Red Rec, followed by Rita Tanner (Barbara Knox). While searching for Tina, Rita is violently mugged by a gang of youths.
- 26 August 2013: Kylie Platt (Paula Lane) gives birth to her daughter Lily. Sally Webster (Sally Dynevor) and Anna Windass (Debbie Rush) share a catfight at their rival barbecues.
- 2 September 2013: Doctors reveal to Roy (David Neilson) and Hayley Cropper (Julie Hesmondhalgh) that her cancer is terminal, leaving the couple devastated.
- 13 September 2013: Karl Munro (John Michie) is arrested after he confesses to murdering Sunita Alahan (Shobna Gulati) and setting fire to The Rovers Return on his wedding day to Stella Price (Michelle Collins).
- 9 October 2013: David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) sends off for a DNA test to prove whether Lily Platt is his or Nick Tilsley's (Ben Price) daughter, without his wife Kylie Platt (Paula Lane) knowing.
- 13 October 2013: Lily Platt's father is revealed to be David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) after the DNA results come back. Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) becomes aware of this and after an argument, is threatened by David. Kylie Platt (Paula Lane) still believes that David is having an affair with Tina McIntyre (Michelle Keegan).
- 14 October 2013: Liz McDonald (Beverley Callard) returns to the street. After sharing a catfight in The Rovers Return, Kylie Platt (Paula Lane) demands answers from Tina McIntyre (Michelle Keegan). Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) finally arrives home from hospital.
- 16 October 2013: On the day of Lily Platt's christening, all the Platts' secrets are revealed: Kylie Platt (Paula Lane) sleeping with Nick Tilsley (Ben Price); David Platt's (Jack P. Shepherd) hate campaign and who caused the car accident.
- 4 November 2013: Todd Grimshaw (Bruno Langley) returns to Weatherfield.
- 4 December 2013: Carla Connor (Alison King) marries Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) who kisses Tina McIntyre (Michelle Keegan) later that night, after weeks of flirting and close calls.
- 25 December 2013: Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) slaps his wife Leanne (Jane Danson) at the Platt/Tilsley/Price Christmas meal in The Bistro. Kylie Platt (Paula Lane) is arrested after fighting with Tina McIntyre (Michelle Keegan) yet again. Hayley Cropper (Julie Hesmondhalgh) enjoys her hectic last Christmas.

- 20 January 2014: Hayley Cropper (Julie Hesmondhalgh) dies after drinking a lethal cocktail with husband Roy (David Neilson) by her side.
- 31 January 2014: Hayley Cropper's (Julie Hesmondhalgh) funeral takes place in Weatherfield. Maddie Heath (Amy James-Kelly) kisses Sophie Webster (Brooke Vincent) whilst trying to avoid her help.
- 14 February 2014: Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) and Tina McIntyre (Michelle Keegan) sleep together again while his wife Carla Barlow (Alison King) is away in Paris. He hands Tina the keys to his flat so they can spend more time together.
- 21 February 2014: Gloria Price (Sue Johnston) and Dennis Tanner (Philip Lowrie) leave Weatherfield together, despite Dennis being married to Rita Tanner (Barbara Knox). They harshly bid farewell to Rita before leaving.
- 26 February 2014: Gary Windass (Mikey North) hits Pat Phelan (Connor McIntyre) with a plank of wood on site at the construction site; the pair had a fight when Gary confronted Phelan for attempting to rape his mother Anna Windass (Debbie Rush). As Phelan remains unconscious, Gary summons his boss and Anna's partner Owen Armstrong (Ian Puleston-Davies) and the pair later find that Phelan had disappeared.
- 17 March 2014: Marcus Dent (Charlie Condou) is caught cheating on Maria Connor (Samia Ghadie) with Todd Grimshaw (Bruno Langley).
- 21 March 2014: Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) returns to Weatherfield after a 13-month absence looking after his ill father, Bill (Peter Armitage). This storyline was devised to explain Le Vell's temporary departure from the soap as he fought charges of sexual offences, which he was later cleared of.
- 24 March 2014: Michael Rodwell (Les Dennis) appears for the first time burgling Gail McIntyre's (Helen Worth) house.
- 26 March 2014: Pat Phelan (Connor McIntyre) forces Owen Armstrong (Ian Puleston-Davies) to relinquish his £80,000 investment after finding out that he and his protege Gary Windass (Mikey North) had planned to steal his tiles, thus leaving both the Armstrong and Windass families on the potential of financial bankruptcy.
- 2 April 2014: Stella Price (Michelle Collins) leaves the street for New York after deciding that there is nothing left for her in Weatherfield.
- 11 April 2014: Pat Phelan (Connor McIntyre) blackmails Anna Windass (Debbie Rush) into sleep with him in exchange for ending his torment of her boyfriend Owen Armstrong (Ian Puleston-Davies) and son Gary Windass (Mikey North) by releasing the pair from their contracts.
- 18 April 2014: Dennis Tanner (Philip Lowrie) returns to Weatherfield after sleeping on the streets again and being beaten up.
- 9 May 2014: Izzy Armstrong (Cherylee Houston) steals some of the money from the late Hayley Cropper's (Julie Hesmondhalgh) cancer charity fund. Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) returns from two weeks in rehab.

- 27 May 2014: Tina McIntyre (Michelle Keegan) is pushed off a balcony by Rob Donovan (Marc Baylis) after threatening to tell the police about his dodgy dealings with Tony Stewart (Terence Maynard). She survives the fall, but Rob beats her with a metal pipe when she refuses to keep quiet.
- 2 June 2014: Tina McIntyre (Michelle Keegan) dies in hospital as she succumbs to her injuries caused by Rob Donovan (Marc Baylis).
- 4 June 2014: Carla Barlow (Alison King) miscarries her baby from the stress of finding out that her husband Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) was having an affair and being accused of murdering Peter's mistress, Tina McIntyre (Michelle Keegan).
- 23 June 2014: Tina McIntyre's (Michelle Keegan) funeral is held, although Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) and Rob Donovan (Marc Baylis) brawl over her death.
- 25 June 2014: Gary Windass (Mikey North) goes out clubbing and kisses newcomer Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) behind his girlfriend Izzy Armstrong's (Cherylee Houston) back.
- 14 July 2014: Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) is arrested and charged with the murder of Tina McIntyre (Michelle Keegan). Marcus Dent (Charlie Condou) leaves Weatherfield when his relationship with Todd Grimshaw (Bruno Langley) turns sour.
- 30 July 2014: Dennis Tanner (Philip Lowrie) leaves Weatherfield for the last time after punching Norris Cole (Malcolm Hebden) in the face.
- 4 August 2014: Ken Barlow (William Roache) returns to Weatherfield after a 15-month absence taking care of his son abroad. As with Le Vell, this storyline was conceived after Roache temporary left the soap to fight charges of sexual offences, which he was cleared of.
- 8 August 2014: Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) bumps into Jim McDonald (Charles Lawson) whilst in prison.

- 25 August 2014: Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) falls through the loft conversion that Jason Grimshaw (Ryan Thomas) is working on in his house. Tyrone is rushed to hospital with a broken wrist and broken ribs.
- 29 August 2014: Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) is rushed to hospital with alcohol poisoning after drinking Jim McDonald's (Charles Lawson) secret stash of booze in prison.
- 26 September 2014: Andrea Beckett (Hayley Tamaddon) hangs from the roof of The Rovers Return as she attempts to retrieve her unhinged ex-husband, Neil Beckett. She is saved by the fire brigade, and Neil finally agrees to go through with the divorce proceedings.
- 20 October 2014: Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) is found guilty for Tina McIntyre's (Michelle Keegan) murder and sentenced to life imprisonment, with a minimum term of 15 years.
- 22 October 2014: Cilla Battersby-Brown (Wendi Peters) returns to Weatherfield and reveals to Sinead Tinker (Katie McGlynn) that she has severe osteoporosis.
- 27 October 2014: Carla Connor (Alison King) discovers that her brother, Rob Donovan (Marc Baylis), murdered Tina McIntyre (Michelle Keegan).
- 31 October 2014: Rob Donovan (Marc Baylis) is revealed as Tina McIntyre's (Michelle Keegan) murderer at his wedding to Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford). Rob's sister, Carla Connor (Alison King), and Tracy come to blows over recent events.
- 5 November 2014: Rob Donovan (Marc Baylis) leaves Weatherfield after finally being arrested for killing Tina McIntyre (Michelle Keegan).
- 7 November 2014: Todd Grimshaw (Bruno Langley) is violently attacked by a gang of thugs. He is rushed to hospital, where he is told he will most likely have permanent scarring on his face.
- 12 November 2014: Cilla Battersby-Brown (Wendi Peters) falls down the stairs and is rushed to hospital. She is told that she has severely fractured one of the ligaments in her spine.
- 14 November 2014: After being released from prison, Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) decides to leave Weatherfield to start afresh in Portsmouth.
- 25 December 2014: Kylie Platt (Paula Lane) leaves Weatherfield after her husband; David (Jack P. Shepherd) discovers she has been buying drugs from Callum Logan (Sean Ward).

- 9 January 2015: Beth Tinker (Lisa George) and Kirk Sutherland (Andrew Whyment) get married.
- 19 January 2015: A minibus crash occurs when the Underworld staff are being transported to an awards' ceremony. When everybody is out of the wreckage, the vehicle falls off a cliff. The accident left Sinead Tinker (Katie McGlynn) with severe spinal injuries, Carla Connor (Alison King) with a broken leg and the other factory workers with many cuts and bruises.
- 9 February 2015: Izzy (Cherylee Houston) and Katy Armstrong's (Georgia May Foote) estranged mother, Linda Hancock (Jacqueline Leonard), arrives in Weatherfield after being absent from their lives for 18 years.
- 13 February 2015: Faye Windass (Ellie Leach) discovers that she is pregnant at 12 years of age.
- 18 February 2015: Jenny Bradley (Sally Ann Matthews) returns to Weatherfield after 21 years when she begins dating Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell).
- 2 March 2015: Gavin Rodwell arrives in Weatherfield, panicking Andy Carver (Oliver Farnworth) and Steph Britton (Tisha Merry).
- 9 March 2015: Gavin Rodwell reveals to Gail McIntyre (Helen Worth) that he is the real "Gavin Rodwell", and not Andy Carver (Oliver Farnworth). The revelation leads to Gail being extremely late for her wedding to Michael Rodwell (Les Dennis), and they therefore do not get married.
- 13 March 2015: Gavin Rodwell dies in a car accident, meaning that Andy Carver (Oliver Farnworth) must pretend to be "Gavin Rodwell" for the rest of his life.
- 20 March 2015: A 14-year-old Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) returns to Weatherfield and stirs trouble between Andy Carver (Oliver Farnworth) and Steph Britton (Tisha Merry) before revealing that she wishes to remain on the street permanently. Katy Armstrong (Georgia May Foote) leaves Weatherfield with her son, Joseph, for Portugal to live with her mother, Linda Hancock (Jacqueline Leonard).
- 30 March 2015: Sarah Platt (Tina O'Brien) returns to Weatherfield to retrieve her troublesome daughter Bethany (Lucy Fallon) but they end up moving back to the street permanently later on.
- 3 April 2015: Faye Windass (Ellie Leach) goes into labour and her baby, Miley, is delivered by Anna Windass (Debbie Rush), Sophie Webster, Owen Armstrong (Ian Puleston-Davies), Sally Webster (Sally Dynevor), Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) and Craig Tinker (Colson Smith).

- 27 May 2015: Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) unintentionally sets fire to the Victoria Court flats, trapping Carla Connor (Alison King) and her own daughter Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney). Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) and Kal Nazir (Jimi Mistry) bravely enter the burning building and save Carla, before re-entering to save Amy. However, the ceiling collapses and they all become trapped. Amy and Leanne escape through the window, seconds before the building explodes, killing Kal. After uncovering Jenny Bradley's (Sally Ann Matthews) plans to run away with Kevin Webster's (Michael Le Vell) son Jack (Jaxon and Maddox Beswick), Maddie Heath (Amy James-Kelly) rushes to reveal all to Kevin however, there is a second explosion at the building yard and Maddie is sent flying across the street.
- 29 May 2015: Kylie Platt (Paula Lane) returns to Weatherfield after a five-month absence from the Platts.
- 1 June 2015: Michael Rodwell (Les Dennis) finally discovers that Andy Carver (Oliver Farnworth) is not his son after he is delivered a photo album in the post. He is furious and blames his wife Gail Rodwell (Helen Worth) for the situation. Maddie Heath (Amy James-Kelly) dies in hospital from her injuries sustained in the building yard explosion in the aftermath of the Victoria Court fire.
- 8 June 2015: Simon Barlow (Alex Bain) viciously attacks stepmother Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) by throwing a television remote control at her, leaving her with a bruised face as he struggles to cope with Leanne's fiancé Kal Nazir's (Jimi Mistry) death.
- 12 June 2015: Jenny Bradley (Sally Ann Matthews) goes ahead with her plan to snatch Jack Webster (Jaxon and Maddox Beswick) and they both arrive at an apartment complex in Hull. They are soon tracked down by Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) and Rita Tanner (Barbara Knox) and following a confrontation on the balcony, Jenny hands back Jack and is promptly arrested for child abduction.
- 17 June 2015: Sharif Nazir (Marc Anwar) suffers an asthma attack while working at the gym.
- 26 June 2015: Erica Holroyd (Claire King) miscarries her baby after experiencing stomach pains during a pub quiz.
- 29 June 2015: Gail Rodwell (Helen Worth) and Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver) have a public catfight in the street over Eileen's kiss with Gail's husband, Michael (Les Dennis).
- 8 July 2015: Deirdre Barlow (Anne Kirkbride) dies off-screen from a sudden brain aneurysm. Bev Unwin (Susie Blake) returns to Weatherfield to break the news to her husband Ken (William Roache) and her daughter Tracy (Kate Ford).
- 13 July 2015: Deirdre Barlow (Anne Kirkbride) is laid to rest at her funeral, attended by many of the residents. Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) later makes a brief return to Weatherfield after the funeral. Her funeral also marked the return of her daughter, Tracy's (Kate Ford) ex-husband, Robert Preston (Tristan Gemmill).
- 20 July 2015: Dan Jones (Andrew Paul) holds Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson), Simon Barlow (Alex Bain) and Liz McDonald (Beverley Callard) hostage in Leanne's flat after Leanne and Liz exposed his past of beating up prostitutes to the entire pub.
- 24 July 2015: Robert Preston's (Tristan Gemmill) secret wife, Joni (Sarah Harding), slaps Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) after witnessing her kissing Robert in the couple's restaurant.
- 29 July 2015: Cathy Matthews (Melanie Hill) is in danger as the towers of clutter in her house fall on her, trapping her and knocking her temporarily unconscious. She shouts for help, and eventually Roy Cropper (David Neilson) helps her by breaking down the door and removing the clutter from her, saving her.
- 10 August 2015: Simon Barlow (Alex Bain) violently kicks his stepmother Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson), causing her to bleed badly.
- 19 August 2015: Callum Logan (Sean Ward) launches a vicious attack on Jason Grimshaw (Ryan Thomas) as he attempts to protect Sarah (Tina O'Brien) and Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) from Callum.
- 28 August 2015: Tony Stewart (Terence Maynard) beats up Callum Logan (Sean Ward) after discovering that he was the culprit who attacked his son Jason Grimshaw (Ryan Thomas), leaving Callum frightened and scared.
- 7 September 2015: Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) reveals to Carla Connor (Alison King) that she was the person who started the fire at the Victoria Court flats after Carla prepares to throw herself off a cliff as she cannot cope with her guilt. A clifftop fight then breaks out between the two women, and Carla phoning the police.
- 11 September 2015: Estranged from Lloyd Mullaney (Craig Charles), Andrea Beckett (Hayley Tamaddon) finds out that she is pregnant with his child.
- 23 September 2015: Callum Logan (Sean Ward) is murdered by Kylie Platt (Paula Lane) as he attacks Sarah Platt (Tina O'Brien) during the live episode celebrating ITV's 60th anniversary. Lloyd Mullaney (Craig Charles) and Andrea Beckett (Hayley Tamaddon) depart Weatherfield.
- 30 September 2015: Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) and Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) are told that Fiz's daughter, Hope, has a childhood cancer called neuroblastoma.
- 5 October 2015: Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) and Sally Webster (Sally Dynevor) are married. Tim almost jilts Sally due to her kiss with Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell), but is convinced by Kevin and Craig Tinker (Colson Smith). Johnny (Richard Hawley) and Kate Connor (Faye Brookes) tell Carla Connor (Alison King) that the money Aidan Connor (Shayne Ward) invested in Underworld was actually Johnny's.
- 2 December 2015: Sarah Platt (Tina O'Brien) is knocked down by Tim Metcalfe's (Joe Duttine) van during an argument with her brother, David (Jack P. Shepherd). After regaining consciousness in hospital, she is told she is four months pregnant with Callum Logan's (Sean Ward) baby.
- 7 December 2015: Rob Donovan (Marc Baylis) begins blackmailing Johnny Connor (Richard Hawley) for money, threatening to reveal that he is actually Carla Connor's (Alison King) biological father if he does not comply.
- 25 December 2015: Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) organises for the street to be transformed into Lapland for his seriously ill stepdaughter, Hope, where he also proposes to Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine). Robert Preston (Tristan Gemmill) also proposes to Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) in The Rovers, but confronts her publicly about her meetings with Rob Donovan (Marc Baylis).
- 31 December 2015: After learning that Johnny Connor (Richard Hawley) is her father, Carla Connor (Alison King) angrily slaps him before ordering him to leave Weatherfield. Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) and Anna Windass (Debbie Rush) kiss passionately, as do Aidan Connor (Shayne Ward) and Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley). Emily Bishop (Eileen Derbyshire) decides to pursue voluntary work in Peru.
2016
- 1 January 2016: Carla Connor (Alison King) and Robert Preston (Tristan Gemmill) sleep together after bumping into one another at a casino. Emily Bishop (Eileen Derbyshire) leaves Weatherfield for Peru.
- 8 January 2016: After discovering that her sister Nessa Warner (Sadie Shimmin) had been having an affair with her late husband Alan, Cathy Matthews (Melanie Hill) decides to burn all of their love letters. However, the fire spreads rapidly, and Cathy finds herself trapped in the building. Roy Cropper (David Neilson) comes to her rescue and saves her life, so Cathy moves in with Roy.
- 18 January 2016: Carla Connor (Alison King) is brutally attacked in the bistro by Jamie Bowman (James Atherton) and his friend, Lee. Unbeknown to Carla, but Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) is witnessing the attack. When the thugs take her handbag, Carla gives chase and is subsequently dragged down the street by their speeding van, landing her in a critical condition. Pat Phelan (Connor McIntyre) returns to Weatherfield.
- 21 March 2016: Sarah Platt (Tina O'Brien) gives birth to her and deceased Callum Logan's (Sean Ward) baby son Harry via caesarean section after going into labour in Tracy Barlow's (Kate Ford) flower shop.
- 25 April 2016: The Grimshaws are informed that Jason Grimshaw's (Ryan Thomas) father, Tony Stewart (Terence Maynard), has died from a suspected heart attack.
- 25 May 2016: Carla Connor (Alison King) and Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) get married; however, Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) exposes Carla's one-night stand with Robert Preston (Tristan Gemmill), leading to Nick's mother, Gail Rodwell (Helen Worth), slapping Carla. Later, Carla sees Tracy in the road, so attempts to run her over, but swerves and instead runs over Cathy Matthews (Melanie Hill). This also causes Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) and his fiancée Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) to crash into the Platts' house, leading to the discovery of Callum Logan's (Sean Ward) corpse buried underneath Gail's annexe.
- 26 May 2016: Carla Connor (Alison King) leaves Weatherfield for good after realising that there is nothing left for her when Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) dumps her.
- 19 June 2016: Billy Mayhew's (Daniel Brocklebank) brother, Lee (Richard Crehan), holds Sarah Platt (Tina O'Brien) hostage to receive £1,000 from Billy. He tricks Sarah into believing that Callum Logan (Sean Ward) is actually "alive". He gets angry and tries to rape her but she is saved by her brother David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd).
- 23 June 2016: Sarah Platt (Tina O'Brien) is sectioned to a psychiatric unit after suffering a mental breakdown in which she locks and barricades her own family outside the house, believing the deceased Callum Logan (Sean Ward) is coming after her.
- 29 June 2016: Jason Grimshaw (Ryan Thomas) leaves Weatherfield to begin afresh in Thailand.
- 1 July 2016: Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) collapses in the ginnel from a kidney infection.
- 11 July 2016: Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) discovers she is pregnant after believing she is infertile for the last five years.
- 15 July 2016: Kylie Platt (Paula Lane) is stabbed in the chest by Clayton Hibbs (Callum Harrison) during a scuffle outside the kebab shop while defending Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) and later dies in her husband, David Platt's (Jack P. Shepherd), arms.

Shepherd) crashes his car into Gary Windass (Mikey North) and his own daughter, Lily (Brooke Malonie), in his quest to kill his wife Kylie's (Paula Lane) murderer, Clayton Hibbs (Callum Harrison). After everybody is rescued, the car explodes, with Gary's mother Anna Windass (Debbie Rush) being set on fire due to David's car being full of petrol.
- 4 November 2016: Sharif Nazir (Marc Anwar) leaves Weatherfield after his wife Yasmeen (Shelley King) throws him out when his affair with Sonia Rahman (Sudha Bhuchar) is revealed.
- 18 November 2016: Michael Rodwell (Les Dennis) dies from a heart attack whilst trying to confront Pat Phelan (Connor McIntyre) and foil his scam on Weatherfield residents.
- 12 December 2016: On Roy Cropper (David Neilson) and Cathy Matthews' (Melanie Hill) wedding day, Cathy realises that Roy does not actually want to marry her and is still in love with his deceased wife, Hayley (Julie Hesmondhalgh). They agree to continue as friends, breaking Cathy's heart.
- 15 December 2016: Andy Carver (Oliver Farnworth) brutally attacks Pat Phelan (Connor McIntyre) by striking him over the head with a brick after suspecting that he was involved with Michael Rodwell's (Les Dennis) death.
- 25 December 2016: Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) unexpectedly returns to the street, having split with her husband. Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) and Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) brawl in the street, as Nick believes that he is having an affair with his girlfriend, and Peter's ex-wife, Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson). It is later revealed that it is actually Toyah who Peter is having an affair with. Elsewhere, Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) overdoses on diet pills and collapses, but is rescued by Nathan Curtis (Christopher Harper).
- 30 December 2016: A powercut in Weatherfield on New Year's Eve leads to a fragile Anna Windass (Debbie Rush) falling down the stairs while looking after her partner Kevin Webster's (Michael Le Vell) son, Jack (Kyran Bowes).
2017
- 11 January 2017: After being taken to hospital for stomach pains, a pregnant Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh) goes into labour after a 23-week pregnancy, and subsequently her baby, Ruairi, dies before he is born, devastating Michelle and her husband Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson).
- 16 January 2017: Andy Carver (Oliver Farnworth) sets fire to Kevin Webster's (Michael Le Vell) garage on orders from Pat Phelan (Connor McIntyre), who is blackmailing Andy after he attacked him.
- 20 January 2017: Pat Phelan (Connor McIntyre) supposedly murders Andy Carver (Oliver Farnworth) by bludgeoning him with the laptop containing evidence that he was present at the death of Michael Rodwell (Les Dennis). He then goes to the registry office and marries Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver).
- 23 January 2017: Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh) contemplates suicide as she sits on a bridge the day before her stillborn baby, Ruairi's, funeral. She is talked down by Robert Preston (Tristan Gemmill), who she attempts to kiss, but he contacts her husband Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) to take care of her.
- 6 February 2017: Rosie (Helen Flanagan) and Sophie Webster (Brooke Vincent) return to Weatherfield from Miami, unaware that Rosie has unknowingly smuggled white powder into the country, which they are both arrested for by the police.
- 8 February 2017: Sinead Tinker (Katie McGlynn) cheats on Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) and has sex with Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) in the Underworld storage cupboard, taking his virginity.
- 20 February 2017: Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) gives birth to her baby son Oliver in the elevator at Victoria Court after it breaks down. Oliver is delivered by Leanne's stepsister, Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor).

Shona Ramsey (Julia Goulding) is brutally beaten up by two thugs on orders from Nathan Curtis (Christopher Harper) as she attempts to rescue Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) from his sex ring.
- 1 June 2017: Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) is gang raped by three older men as part of Nathan Curtis' (Christopher Harper) undercover sex ring.
- 2 June 2017: Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) leaves Weatherfield after saying a personal farewell to his mother, Gail Rodwell (Helen Worth).

- 16 June 2017: After a confrontation with his adoptive half-sister Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) and being rejected by his girlfriend Sinead Tinker (Katie McGlynn), Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) overdoses on cocaine and alcohol, with his nephew Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) and Robert Preston (Tristan Gemmill) rushing him to hospital.
- 21 June 2017: After discovering that her abuser Nathan Curtis (Christopher Harper) is intending to send her to Bulgaria to work as a sex slave, Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) escapes and calls the police, and Nathan is subsequently arrested.
- 26 June 2017: Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley) discovers her boyfriend Aidan Connor's (Shayne Ward) affair with her best friend Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon), so begins plotting revenge, starting with faking a pregnancy to trap Aidan.
- 3 July 2017: Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) is stabbed with a glass bottle during a hostage situation at the local restaurant involving Robert Preston (Tristan Gemmill), Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh) and Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard). Daniel saves Chesney's life by applying pressure to the stab wound, however Sinead Tinker (Katie McGlynn) believes that Daniel is responsible for the stabbing.

- 15 September 2017: Rita Tanner (Barbara Knox) publicly collapses in The Rovers Return during Jenny Bradley (Sally Ann Matthews) and Eva Price's (Catherine Tyldesley) joint hen party.
- 18 September 2017: Rita Tanner (Barbara Knox) is diagnosed with a brain tumour after collapsing in The Rovers Return, devastating Jenny Bradley (Sally Ann Matthews) and Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell).
- 20 September 2017: Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) exposes Eva Price's (Catherine Tyldesley) pregnancy lie, leading to her and Aidan Connor (Shayne Ward) not getting married, and Maria and Eva having a catfight in a water fountain at the venue. Elsewhere, Johnny Connor (Richard Hawley) and Jenny Bradley (Sally Ann Matthews) get married in hospital so that Rita Tanner (Barbara Knox) can be a witness.
- 22 September 2017: Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh) realises that her ex-boyfriend Will Chatterton (Leon Ockenden) is her stalker, and begs her arch-enemy Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) and ex-husband Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) to help her.
- 25 September 2017: Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh) is held hostage by her stalker Will Chatterton (Leon Ockenden), and when Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) attempts to rescue her, Will causes her to fall down the stairs, knocking her unconscious. Michelle's ex-husband, Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) then arrives and punches Will, rescuing both Michelle and Leanne.
- 4 October 2017: After a tense trial, Nathan Curtis (Christopher Harper), Neil Clifton (Ben Cartwright) and other perpetrators of Nathan's undercover sex ring are found guilty of child grooming and sexual exploitation, much to the relief of Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) and her mother, Sarah (Tina O'Brien).
- 16 October 2017: Summer Spellman (Matilda Freeman) smokes spice and falls unconscious. She is found in the ginnel by Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne), who alerts her guardians Todd Grimshaw (Bruno Langley) and Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank). Later, Peter tells Billy that his son Simon Barlow (Alex Bain) dared Summer to smoke the spice, so Billy savagely beats Peter up in his flat.
- 25 October 2017: Anna Windass (Debbie Rush) slaps Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni) in the café after he accuses her of calling Social Services, much to the delight of Pat Phelan (Connor McIntyre). Anna later visits Phelan at his office and tries to attack him with a hammer, however he pushes Anna to the floor. Later, Seb falls from a ladder while window cleaning, and is admitted to hospital. Anna reveals to Phelan's daughter Nicola Rubinstein (Nicola Thorp) that Phelan blackmailed her to have sex with him.
- 27 October 2017: Nicola Rubinstein (Nicola Thorp) discovers that her father Pat Phelan (Connor McIntyre) raped her mother, and that this is how she was conceived. She tells Phelan she wants nothing more to do with him. Phelan then forces Andy Carver (Oliver Farnworth) to murder Vinny Ashford (Ian Kelsey), so Andy reluctantly shoots Vinny and kills him. Andy then points the gun at Phelan, however he talks Andy into giving him the gun, before shooting and killing Andy, too.
- 17 November 2017: Zeedan (Qasim Akhtar) and Rana Nazir (Bhavna Limbachia) remarry, much to Kate Connor's (Faye Brookes) upset as she and Rana are in love with one another.
- 1 December 2017: Luke Britton (Dean Fagan) catches Rana Nazir (Bhavna Limbachia) and Kate Connor (Faye Brookes) having sex in the back of a van.
- 18 December 2017: Anna Windass (Debbie Rush) knocks out Eileen Phelan (Sue Cleaver) with a pair of bolt cutters, believing her to be her husband, Pat Phelan (Connor McIntyre). Anna is then arrested and sent to prison.
- 21 December 2017: Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) confesses to Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) that he was present at the death of his twin sister, Susan Barlow (Joanna Foster), after being stabbed outside of court.
- 22 December 2017: Carla Connor (Alison King) returns to Weatherfield after Aidan Connor (Shayne Ward) contacts her over the factory's financial state.
- 25 December 2017: Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) falls off a cliff during a confrontation with Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) following the revelation that Billy was present at his twin sister Susan Barlow's (Joanna Foster) death. Billy is alive and rushed to hospital, where he is told that he may be paralysed.
- 29 December 2017: Carla Connor (Alison King) reveals to Roy Cropper (David Neilson) that she has kidney failure and in need of a kidney transplant, so Roy looks into donating her his own kidney.
2018
- 5 January 2018: Pat Phelan (Connor McIntyre) murders Luke Britton (Dean Fagan) after a car chase causes Luke's car to crash and Phelan shoots him, before shooting the engine on the vehicle and Luke perishing in an explosion.
- 12 January 2018: Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) and Sinead Tinker's (Katie McGlynn) wedding day ends in disaster when Chesney jilts Sinead at the altar after fearing that she will eventually leave him.
- 20 January 2018: Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley) discovers she is pregnant by her cheating ex-fiancé, Aidan Connor (Shayne Ward).
- 22 January 2018: Anna Windass (Debbie Rush) is found guilty of GBH after her arch-enemy, Pat Phelan (Connor McIntyre), framed her for pushing his apprentice Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni) off a ladder.

- 10 March 2018: Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) and a pregnant Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley) devise a plan for Eva to give birth and then claim the baby is Toyah and her fiancé, Peter Barlow's (Chris Gascoyne).
- 16 March 2018: David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) is drugged and raped by his best friend, Josh Tucker (Ryan Clayton).

- 30 March 2018: Eileen Phelan (Sue Cleaver) kicks her husband Pat Phelan (Connor McIntyre) into the sea after finally discovering the extend of his crimes following a voicemail message she received from Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni) and Gary Windass (Mikey North) who have unearthed the corpses of Phelan's two murdered victims, Andy Carver (Oliver Farnworth) and Vinny Ashford (Ian Kelsey).
- 2 April 2018: As the Weatherfield community learn about the many crimes of Pat Phelan (Connor McIntyre), his wife Eileen (Sue Cleaver) is arrested for abetting her husband. Although everyone assumes that he is dead, they are left unaware that Phelan has actually survived and is in hiding at a B&B.
- 9 April 2018: David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) almost beats Gary Windass (Mikey North) to death during a charity boxing match organised by his rapist, Josh Tucker (Ryan Clayton). David is arrested and Gary is hospitalised.
- 16 April 2018: Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh) finds out about her son Ali Neeson (James Burrows) and Carla Connor's (Alison King) affair and disowns Carla for her betrayal.
- 20 April 2018: Eileen Phelan (Sue Cleaver) and Nicola Rubinstein (Nicola Thorp) knock out an intruder with a frying pan. The intruder is revealed to be Seb Franklin's (Harry Visinoni) mother, Abi (Sally Carman), who moves to the street permanently.
- 30 April 2018: Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley) gives birth to her and Aidan Connor's (Shayne Ward) daughter, Susie, at a cottage in Lymm. Susie is delivered by Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor), who Eva has agreed to give Susie to due to Toyah's infertility.
- 7 May 2018: Aidan Connor (Shayne Ward) commits suicide in his flat.
- 9 May 2018: Johnny Connor (Richard Hawley) discovers his son, Aidan (Shayne Ward), has killed himself. David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) confesses to Shona Ramsey (Julia Goulding) that he was raped by Josh Tucker (Ryan Clayton), and is arrested for missing his court hearing over his assault on Gary Windass (Mikey North). Gail Rodwell (Helen Worth) makes a speech following Aidan's suicide.
- 23 May 2018: Zeedan Nazir (Qasim Akhtar) leaves Weatherfield after assaulting a man who launched a homophobic attack on his ex-wife, Rana Nazir (Bhavna Limbachia), and her girlfriend, Kate Connor (Faye Brookes). Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) returns from Ibiza for his adoptive mother, Michelle Connor's (Kym Marsh), wedding to Robert Preston (Tristan Gemmill).
- 25 May 2018: A heavily pregnant Nicola Rubinstein (Nicola Thorp) falls down the stairs after fireworks set off by Faye Windass (Ellie Leach) startle her. She is rushed to hospital and gives birth to her son, Zack, via caesarean section.
- 28 May 2018: Pat Phelan (Connor McIntyre) returns to the country to carry out his revenge plan against his wife Eileen Phelan (Sue Cleaver), former apprentice Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni), and long-standing enemy Gary Windass (Mikey North).
- 1 June 2018: Gary Windass (Mikey North) secretly abducts Pat Phelan (Connor McIntyre) back to Weatherfield, but Phelan escapes and ends up shooting his daughter, Nicola Rubinstein (Nicola Thorp), whilst confronting his wife Eileen Phelan (Sue Cleaver) and Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni). After gatecrashing Robert Preston (Tristan Gemmill) and Michelle Connor's (Kym Marsh) wedding at the Bistro, Phelan shoots Michelle while attempting to take her hostage in his bid to escape Weatherfield. Shortly afterwards, Gary's mother Anna Windass (Debbie Rush) - who was recently released from prison - confronts Phelan and stabs him in the chest with a kitchen knife, killing him.
- 6 June 2018: Lewis Archer (Nigel Havers) returns to Weatherfield when it is revealed that he has been working with clairvoyant, Rosemary Piper (Sophie Thompson), to scam Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) and Gail Rodwell (Helen Worth). Roy Cropper (David Neilson) and Cathy Matthews (Melanie Hill) help Gail and Audrey in foiling their plan.
- 11 June 2018: Johnny Connor (Richard Hawley) has sex with Liz McDonald (Beverley Callard) amidst his grief over his son, Aidan Connor's (Shayne Ward), suicide.
- 9 July 2018: Jack Webster's (Kyran Bowes) leg is amputated after contracting sepsis while playing football.
- 16 July 2018: Johnny Connor (Richard Hawley) raises his fist at his wife, Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews), as he struggles with his grief over his son, Aidan's (Shayne Ward), suicide.
- 23 July 2018: Kayla Clifton (Mollie Winnard) hits Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) over the head with a vase and holds her hostage, believing her claims of sexual abuse against her father, Neil Clifton (Ben Cartwright), to be false. She beats Bethany until Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) arrives and exposes Neil as a sex offender.
- 25 July 2018: Claudia Colby (Rula Lenska) returns to Weatherfield.
- 30 July 2018: Josh Tucker (Ryan Clayton) is severely beaten up when Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) warns Josh's next victim of his previous attacks. Josh is left blind and told he may never see again.
- 3 August 2018: Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley) leaves Weatherfield with her daughter, Susie, after deciding she needs a fresh start after Aidan Connor's (Shayne Ward) suicide and her ordeals with his father, Johnny Connor (Richard Hawley), and Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor).
- 13 August 2018: Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) is arrested for fraud after being framed by Duncan Radfield (Nicholas Gleaves).
- 7 September 2018: Jim McDonald (Charles Lawson) returns to Weatherfield for his son, Steve's (Simon Gregson) wedding to Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford).
- 10 September 2018: Jim McDonald (Charles Lawson) reveals to his ex-wife, Liz McDonald (Beverley Callard), that their daughter Katie is actually alive and has been living in Australia under the name Hannah Gilmore (Hannah Ellis Ryan). This is later revealed to be a lie and Hannah is actually Jim's much younger mistress, as they attempt to scam Liz and Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) for their money.
- 12 September 2018: Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) finds his long-lost grandmother, Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman). Evelyn later moves in with Tyrone, his fiancée Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) and their daughters after she is evicted from her home.
- 26 September 2018: Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) and Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) are found having sex by Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) and Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine).
- 28 September 2018: Ryan Connor's (Ryan Prescott) friend, Cormac, dies at his family's flat after taking an overdose of contaminated drugs.
- 10 October 2018: Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) and Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) get married, however at the wedding reception, Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) accidentally reveals to Tracy that she and Steve had sex a few days ago. Tracy punches Steve in the face and engages in a food fight with Leanne. Liz McDonald (Beverley Callard) discovers Jim McDonald (Charles Lawson) and Hannah Gilmore's (Hannah Ellis Ryan) lies. Liz confronts Jim at their daughter's grave, and pushes him to the ground. Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) and Sinead Tinker (Katie McGlynn) marry in the gardens, with a pregnant Sinead hiding the fact that she may have cervical cancer.
- 12 October 2018: Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh), Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) and Ali Neeson (James Burrows) are involved in a car chase with Cormac's gangster father, Ronan Truman (Alan McKenna). When Ryan attempts to diffuse the situation, Ronan runs him over with his car. As Ronan attempts to make his escape, he reverses and runs over Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson). Ronan then crashes his car into a tree, and Ali murders Ronan by removing a piece of wood that had impaled him, allowing Ronan to bleed to death. Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) returns upon hearing news of Leanne's involvement in the accident. Hannah Gilmore (Hannah Ellis Ryan) exposes Liz McDonald (Beverley Callard) and Johnny Connor's (Richard Hawley) affair to Johnny's wife, Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews).
- 19 October 2018: A heavily pregnant Sinead Tinker (Katie McGlynn) is diagnosed with cervical cancer. She decides to keep her diagnosis from her husband, Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard), however Daniel's father, Ken Barlow (William Roache), discovers the news.
- 29 October 2018: Sinead Tinker (Katie McGlynn) collapses in the toilets of The Rovers Return. She is rushed to hospital and her husband, Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard), finally discovers the truth about her cancer. He also discovers that his father, Ken Barlow (William Roache), was aware of Sinead's cancer but did not tell anybody, and so Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) attempts to diffuse an argument between them.
- 12 November 2018: Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) throws a bouquet of flowers at Claudia Colby (Rula Lenska) after she nominates her for a Lifetime Achievement Award at the North West Hair Stylists' Awards.
- 28 November 2018: Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) is sentenced to four years imprisonment after being framed for fraud by Duncan Radfield (Nicholas Gleaves) and her own sister, Gina Seddon (Connie Hyde).
- 21 December 2018: Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) falls down the stairs during a confrontation with her husband, Johnny Connor (Richard Hawley), over his affair with Liz McDonald (Beverley Callard). This altercation leads to Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) believing that Johnny is abusing Jenny.
- 25 December 2018: A drunken Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) accidentally runs over Liz McDonald (Beverley Callard) while fleeing The Rovers Return following an argument with her husband, Johnny Connor (Richard Hawley). Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) discovers Gina Seddon's (Connie Hyde) role in getting his wife, Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor), imprisoned for fraud, that she has lying about Sally's affair with Duncan Radfield (Nicholas Gleaves) and that Gina lied that she and Tim slept together, and so Tim flips the table at Gina in anger.
2019
- 1 January 2019: Lewis Archer (Nigel Havers) dies from heart failure moments before proposing to his partner, Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls). Audrey blames her daughter, Gail Rodwell (Helen Worth) for Lewis' death, due to the stress that Gail caused trying to split them up. Gemma Winter's (Dolly-Rose Campbell) twin brother, Paul Foreman (Peter Ash), arrives looking for accommodation, and Carla Connor (Alison King) buys Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) a boat.
- 2 January 2019: Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) discovers that the money in her account has been stolen. Audrey and her family begin suspecting the late Lewis Archer (Nigel Havers) of stealing it.
- 11 January 2019: During a fight with Sally Metcalfe's (Sally Dynevor) husband, Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine), Duncan Radfield (Nicholas Gleaves) is struck by an oncoming van. Tim flees the scene and leaves Duncan for dead.
- 9 January 2019: It is revealed on the day of Lewis Archer's (Nigel Havers) funeral that Audrey Roberts' (Sue Nicholls) eldest grandson, Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) stole her money.
- 14 January 2019: Sinead Tinker (Katie McGlynn) gives birth to her and Daniel Osbourne's (Rob Mallard) son, Bertie, via caesarean section. Sinead falls unconscious and is kept in hospital while Bertie is placed in an incubator.
- 16 January 2019: After being threatened with a knife in prison, Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) is released after Duncan Radfield (Nicholas Gleaves) confesses to framing her for fraud. David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) discovers that Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) stole their grandmother Audrey Roberts' (Sue Nicholls) money.
- 21 January 2019: 14-year-old Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) is revealed to be pregnant after sleeping with somebody at a party. She confides in her grandmother, Liz McDonald (Beverley Callard), however her parents Steve (Simon Gregson) and Tracy McDonald (Kate Ford) are furious.
- 28 January 2019: Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) discovers that his newfound grandmother Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman) left him outside a police station days after he was born. Tyrone throws Evelyn out and so she leaves Weatherfield for France.
- 13 February 2019: Peter Barlow's (Chris Gascoyne) boat goes up in flames outside of the factory. Peter's son, Simon (Alex Bain), is trapped inside but Peter saves him.
- 15 February 2019: It is revealed Roy Cropper (David Neilson) accidentally started the fire on Peter Barlow's (Chris Gascoyne) boat by knocking over a paraffin lamp while sleepwalking.
- 18 February 2019: Gang leader Tyler Jefferies (Will Barnett) is revealed to be the father of Amy Barlow's (Elle Mulvaney) unborn baby.
- 21 February 2019: Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) has an abortion, however allows her parents Steve (Simon Gregson) and Tracy McDonald (Kate Ford) to believe that she suffered a miscarriage.
- 4 March 2019: Clayton Hibbs (Callum Harrison) escapes from prison at his father's funeral and takes his mother, Shona Ramsey (Julia Goulding), hostage at an abandoned house. He becomes violent and attacks Shona with a knife, as Shona's boyfriend David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd), Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) and Gail Rodwell (Helen Worth) watch from outside in horror. Shona escapes and it is revealed that she stabbed Clayton in self-defence. Clayton is taken to hospital and Shona finally disowns him.
- 18 March 2019: On Kate Connor (Faye Brookes) and Rana Habeeb's (Bhavna Limbachia) wedding day, the factory roof collapses, trapping Rana, Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor), Kirk Sutherland (Andrew Whyment), Sean Tully (Antony Cotton), Paul Foreman (Peter Ash), Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) and Emma Brooker (Alexandra Mardell). Earlier that morning, an unknown assailant sabotaged the factory roof when seeking revenge on Carla Connor (Alison King).
- 20 March 2019: Rana Habeeb (Bhavna Limbachia) dies in her fiancée Kate Connor's (Faye Brookes) arms from injuries sustained from the factory roof collapse.
- 10 April 2019: Sinead Tinker (Katie McGlynn) is given the all-clear from cervical cancer.
- 24 April 2019: Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) discovers that she is pregnant by her ex-boyfriend, Chesney Brown (Sam Aston).

- 31 May 2019: Carla Connor (Alison King) is sectioned after suffering a psychotic episode as she struggles with her guilt over the factory roof collapse and Rana Habeeb's (Bhavna Limbachia) death. She hallucinates seeing deceased friends and relatives, including Rana, her half-brother Aidan Connor (Shayne Ward) and Hayley Cropper (Julie Hesmondhalgh). Gary Windass (Mikey North) is revealed to have caused the factory roof collapse.
- 5 June 2019: Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) and Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) are told that Gemma is pregnant with quadruplets.

- 19 June 2019: Gary Windass (Mikey North) murders loan shark Rick Neelan (Greg Wood) in the woods and buries his corpse.
- 26 June 2019: Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King) is mugged in broad daylight. The mugging is later revealed to have been orchestrated by her partner, Geoff Metcalfe (Ian Bartholomew), as he begins coercively controlling and psychologically abusing Yasmeen.
- 5 July 2019: After Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) is injured during an argument, David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) and Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) are arrested for breaching their bail conditions. David is remanded in custody as he is on probation, while Nick is released.
- 24 July 2019: Gemma Winter's (Dolly-Rose Campbell) mother, Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove), arrives in Weatherfield after discovering that she is pregnant with quadruplets.
- 7 August 2019: After getting involved with the modern slavery at the nail bar, Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver) is violently arrested alongside Jan Lozinski (Piotr Baumann) and Rachel Healy (Verity Henry) for exploiting young immigrants.
- 30 August 2019: Jan Lozinski (Piotr Baumann) is shot by Rachel Healy (Verity Henry) as he is about to go into witness protection with Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver). He survives but Eileen ends their relationship.
- 9 September 2019: Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) and Sinead Tinker (Katie McGlynn) get married. Sinead finds a lump on her neck during the reception.
- 11 September 2019: Sinead Osbourne (Katie McGlynn) and her husband Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) are told that Sinead's cancer has returned in her liver and lymph nodes and that it is terminal.
- 13 September 2019: Kate Connor (Faye Brookes) leaves Weatherfield to go travelling as she continues to struggle to come to terms with Rana Habeeb's (Bhavna Limbachia) death.
- 27 September 2019: Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) admits to Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) that his mother Bernie Winter's (Jane Hazlegrove) boyfriend Kel Hinchley (Joseph Alessi) sexually abused him when he was 14 years old. Jade Rowan (Lottie Henshall) arrives to help Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) discipline her daughter, Hope (Isabella Flanagan).
- 21 October 2019: Daniel (Rob Mallard) and Sinead Osbourne's (Katie McGlynn) families host an early Christmas as Sinead is told she will not see another Christmas. Following an argument with Sinead, Daniel storms out and meets Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) in the ginnel where they share a kiss, witnessed by Daniel's father, Ken Barlow (William Roache). In Weatherfield Prison, Josh Tucker (Ryan Clayton), David Platt's (Jack P. Shepherd) rapist, is stabbed.
- 25 October 2019: Sinead Osbourne (Katie McGlynn) dies from cancer after her husband, Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) admits to kissing Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) behind her back.
- 30 October 2019: Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) gives birth to her quadruplets on a cable car in Wales.
- 7 November 2019: David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) is released from prison after Josh Tucker (Ryan Clayton) changes his statement. David then marries Shona Ramsey (Julia Goulding) in his prison clothes at the Bistro.
- 11 November 2019: While visiting Vicky Jefferies (Kerri Quinn), Robert Preston (Tristan Gemmill) is involved in a car accident. This sparks a chain of events that eventually lead to his fiancée, Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh), finding out about his infidelity. Roy Cropper (David Neilson) is introduced to his long-lost niece, Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher).
- 18 November 2019: Sinead Osbourne's (Katie McGlynn) funeral takes place in Weatherfield.
- 27 November 2019: Jade Rowan (Lottie Henshall) is revealed to be serial killer John Stape's (Graeme Hawley) long-lost daughter, seeking revenge on Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) for her father's death.
- 4 December 2019: On their wedding day, Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh) exposes Robert Preston's (Tristan Gemmill) double life with Vicky Jefferies (Kerri Quinn) to the wedding guests. Vicky's son, Tyler Jefferies (Will Barnett) also gatecrashes the wedding as Vicky has gone missing following a violent argument with Robert, and accuses him of killing Vicky.
- 9 December 2019: It is revealed that Geoff Metcalfe (Ian Bartholomew) and Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King) have got married while on holiday in Las Vegas, infuriating Yasmeen's granddaughter Alya Nazir (Sair Khan). This revelation leads to Geoff's son, Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) realising that he is still married to a woman he met in Las Vegas 14 years ago, and that his marriage to Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) is void.
- 16 December 2019: After Robert Preston (Tristan Gemmill) is held in custody for Vicky Jefferies' (Kerri Quinn) disappearance, it is revealed that Vicky and Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh) are working together to get Robert sent to prison.
- 20 December 2019: Vicky Jefferies (Kerri Quinn) gives birth to Robert Preston's (Tristan Gemmill) son, Sonny, delivered by Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh).
- 23 December 2019: The Underworld factory reopens for a Christmas party with a brand new design. It is discovered Gary Windass (Mikey North) now owns the factory. Rita Tanner (Barbara Knox) battles with loneliness, and she suffers a fall while putting up her Christmas tree. Gary also kidnaps rival Derek Milligan (Craige Els). Fiz Stape's (Jennie McAlpine) shotgun also disappears from Gary's antique shop.
- 25 December 2019: Derek Milligan (Craige Els) storms into The Rovers Return armed with Fiz Stape's (Jennie McAlpine) shotgun. He shoots out the window of The Rovers, which hits Robert Preston (Tristan Gemmill) and kills him. Derek and Gary Windass (Mikey North) then battle it out at the street's Winter Wonderland event, leading to Gary being shot in the shoulder. Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) is also shot and she falls into a coma. Derek dies after falling off a Helter Skelter.
- 27 December 2019: Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh) leaves Weatherfield after Robert Preston's (Tristan Gemmill) death and discovering that her enemy Ray Crosby (Mark Frost) is the new owner of the Bistro.
