Ryan Prescott (actor)

Ryan Andrew Prescott (born 21 January 1989) is an English actor currently portraying the role of Ryan Connor on the long-running ITV soap opera Coronation Street, taking over from Sol Heras since 2018.[1] He previously played the role of Flynn Buchanan in fellow soap opera Emmerdale in 2011.[2][3][4]

Career

Prescott's first television credit was in Marchlands as Mark Ashburn, before making a guest appearance on Holby City.[5] He then made his mark when he began to appear in the long-running ITV soap opera Emmerdale as Flynn Buchanan.[2][3][4]

He then went on to make brief appearances in The Syndicate, Vampire Academy and Casualty.[5] Prescott then began a recurring role on Doctors as Liam Slade, from 2013 to 2018.[5] Prescott also appeared in a Coca-Cola advertisement in 2013.[6]

In 2018, Prescott joined the cast of Coronation Street as Ryan Connor, becoming the third actor to portray the role, replacing Sol Heras.[1]

Personal life

From Southport, Prescott is an international traveller, having made visits to Thailand, The Netherlands, Monaco and the majority of the United States.[6] In 2016, he visited a refugee camp in Calais, urging people to help out towards refugees when he returned to the United Kingdom.[6]
