Sky Hawk 1
Sky Hawk 1 (SH-1) UAV a small Chinese long range Miniature UAV that was first unveiled at the 2008 Zhuhai Air Show. SH-1 is catapulted or use rocket-assisted firing. The UAV is flying wing design, with a piston engine driving two-blade pusher propeller at the tail end. SH-1 is marketed by ADIC Technology Pte of Singapore. Specification:[1]
- Length: 2.3 m
- Wingspan: 4.2 m
- Ceiling: 5 km
- Speed: 90–150 km/h
- Combat radius: > 180 km
- Endurance: up to 6 h
- Launch: catapulted or rocket-assisted
- Recovery: parachute or recovery net
- Payload: 30 kg
- Max takeoff weight: 150 kg
Sky Hawk 3
Sky Hawk 3 (SH-3) utilizing technologies of SH-1. SH-3 adopts a twin-boom configuration with a two-blade pusher propeller driven by piston engine, and it also adopts an inverted v-tail. Specification:[2]
- Length: 3.6 m
- Wingspan: 3.6 m
- Ceiling: 3 km
- Speed: 80–120 km/h
- Combat radius: 100 km
- Endurance: 8-12 h
- Payload: 5 kg
- Max takeoff weight: 25 kg
Sky Hawk 3A
Sky Hawk 3A (SH-3A) is a derivative of SH-3 and most of the parameters of both UAVs are identical. The most obvious external visual difference between SH-3 and SH-3A is in the landing gears: the pair of skids of SH-3 is replaced by a tricycle land gear system is SH-3A and thus the takeoff method is consequently different. The overall weight has been increased by 1 kg to 26 kg. Specification (please refer to SH-3 for specification parameters shared by both):[3]
- Cruise speed: 90 km/h
- Max takeoff weight: 26 kg
- Remote control radius: 30 km
- Endurance: 4–6 h
- Takeoff: conventional taxi
- Recovery: parachute
- Rain condition allowed for operation: light rain
- Max wind speed allowed ro operation: 10 m/s
- System deployment time: < 30 min from storage to takeoff
- System recovery time: < 20 min from landing to storage
- Storage temperature: -40 to 55 °C
- Operating temperature: -20 to 55 °C
Sky Hawk 3B
Although sharing the designation Sky Hawk 3 (SH-3) series, Sky Hawk 3B (SH-3B) is a completely different UAV than SH-3/3A. SH-3B is a hand-held micro air vehicle (MAV) of conventional layout, and the propulsion is provided by a two-blade pusher propeller driven by an electrical motor installed behind the wing. Specification:[4]
- Cruise speed: 50–80 km/h
- Cruise altitude: 50–3000 m
- Max takeoff weight: 1.5 kg
- Remote control radius: 20 km
- Endurance: 45 min
- Takeoff: conventional taxi or by hand
- Recovery: parachute or conventional taxi
- Rain condition allowed for operation: light rain
- Max wind speed allowed ro operation: 8 m/s
- System deployment time: < 10 min from storage to takeoff
- System recovery time: < 10 min from landing to storage
- Storage temperature: -40 to 55 °C
- Operating temperature: -20 to 55 °C
Flying wing stealthy Sky Hawk
At the 2018 Zhuhai Airshow, CASIC displayed a stealthy flying wing Sky Hawk.[5][6]
