2004 London Marathon
The 2004 London Marathon was the 24th running of the annual marathon race in London, United Kingdom, which took place on Sunday, 18 April. The elite men's race was won by Kenya's Evans Rutto in a time of 2:06:18 hours and the women's race was won in 2:22:35 by Margaret Okayo, also of Kenya.

In the wheelchair races, Mexico's Saúl Mendoza (1:36:56) and Italy's Francesca Porcellato (2:04:58) won the men's and women's divisions, respectively.[1]
A total of 108,000 people applied to enter the race: 45,219 had their applications accepted and 32,746 started the race.[2] A total of 31,659 runners, 23265 men and 8394 women, finished the race.[3]
