1986 Wyoming Secretary of State election
The Wyoming secretary of state election of 1986 took place on November 4, 1986. The future gubernatorial candidate, Kathy Karpan, defeated K. C. Thomson with 53.59% of the vote and became the first and last Democrat to hold the office of Secretary of State since Jack R. Gage.
