1982 Wyoming Secretary of State election
The Wyoming secretary of state election of 1982 took place on November 2, 1982. The incumbent Secretary of State Thyra Thomson won her final term as Secretary of State as well as her worst election performance. Thomson defeated the future chairwoman of the Wyoming Democratic Party Leslie Petersen with 53.70% of the vote.
