1972 Iowa Hawkeyes football team

The 1972 Iowa Hawkeyes football team represented the University of Iowa in the 1972 Big Ten Conference football season. This was the first season the Hawkeyes played home games in Nile Kinnick Stadium (named for Iowa's only Heisman Trophy winner Nile Kinnick). The stadium was called "Iowa Stadium" from the 1929-1971 seasons.
