World Series
The Dodgers won the 1955 World Series in seven games over the Yankees, who had defeated them in the 1941, 1947, 1949, 1952, and 1953 World Series. This was the first World Series to feature a series MVP, with Johnny Podres winning with two wins and a 1.00 ERA, including a shutout in the deciding game 7.
