YuYuGiDigiMoon/Characters

Yu Yu Gi Digi Moon has Loads and Loads of Characters. And HOW. See also character pages for Digimon, Sailor Moon, Yu Yu Hakusho, and Yu-Gi-Oh for the details on the canonical characters. All Original Characters were created by Kanius unless indicated otherwise. The character names used are a combination of original Japanese names, and dubbed English names.

Page is very much still in progress.

Beast Tamers

The Beast Tamers are so named because, in Season 2, they each gain the power of one of The Saint Beasts, from Duel Monsters cards they won in a Trivia Contest, no less. (But not the same Saint Beasts from Yu Yu Hakusho. Those guys were merely "posers", as one of the real Saint Beasts put it.) In Season 1, the Beast Tamers and the Victory Tamers were just "the Tamers".

Voice Actress: Wendee Lee

Originally from Amsterdam, Holland, along with her younger brothers, the twins Max and Sam. Lyn is the reincarnation of Kisara, keeper of the Blue-Eyes White Dragon, and as such, has or had the ability to summon said beast. This power first manifested when she was younger, and, upon recognizing the BEWD, scraped together enough money to take her and her brothers to Egypt, where she met Ishizu Ishtar, who taught her about her powers and gave her a job as assistant curator. During the events of Battle City, she stayed behind in Egypt while Ishizu went to Domino City, but when Dartz used the power of the Orichalcos to manifest Duel Monster Spirits in Domino City, she and her brothers flew to Japan to investigate. Unfortunately, by the time they arrived, the Duel Monsters had gone and the Duelists had left for America. She and her brothers eventually found their way to the mountain shrine owned by Genkai, where Yusuke Urameshi was training for the Dark Tournament. Lyn, Max, and Sam were staying at the shrine when Yusuke took Yui Tsubasa and her friends (including Mokuba Kaiba, who had seen her summon the BEWD during the Rajita attack at Kaiba-Con) for a visit. Mokuba eventually introduces her to Seto, whom she has to convince to use his newly-acquired Armor of Critias to help people other than himself.

She is the top female duelist of Japan and one of the four elite duelists in Domino City (with Yugi, Kaiba, and Joey). After impressing Maximillion Pegasus with her knowledge of Egyptian mythology in the movie, she was appointed the head of I2's Egyptology department. Spirit Detectives

See also: Yu Yu Hakusho

Yusuke Urameshi

Voice Actor: Justin Cook

Spirit Detective appointed by Koenma. Possesses the powerful Spirit Wave, passed over to him by Genkai. His main techniques include the Spirit Gun (Demon Gun when using his Youki/demon energy) and the Shotgun.

In Season 1, he had not yet fought in the Dark Tournament and debuted bringing Rika out a funk she had, but did compete in Pharaohmon's tournament (defeating Demon with Gallantmon's assist and losing to Pharaohmon); during his match with Pharaohmon, his Spirit Gun was instrumental in weakening Pharaohmon - although he never intended nor planned this. During the tournament, he meets Yui Tsubasa - Himura's sister and future Spirit Detective successor. In Season 2 (after the Dark Tournament but before the incident with Shinobu Shunsui), he and the Detectives aligned with the Sailor Senshi and the group of young teens who would eventually become the Neo Spirit Detectives to resist the Rajita incursion. By The Movie, he had already discovered his demon heritage and spent his year in the Makai before returning to be with his childhood friend Keiko Yukimura, to whom he is currently engaged. The two have a son named Raizen Jr., whose alternate self arrives from the future with the Neo Senshi in the current third season.

In Season 3, he and the Detectives prepare themselves for an impending war with the Demon Priests.

Yusuke has currently passed on his title of "Spirit Detective" to Yui Tsubasa, Himura's sister, but still lends a hand when demons attack the city.

Kazuma Kuwabara

Voice Actor: Christopher Sabat

Rival/best friend to Yusuke. Kuwabara possesses strong spiritual awareness, allowing him to see apparitions (even better than Yusuke). He wields the Spirit Sword and an advanced form of said technique called the Dimension Sword (or Jigento).

In Season 1, Kuwabara helps Yusuke, Hiei, and Kurama fight Pharaohmon's minions whilst aligning themselves with the other heroes. In Season 2, he gains the Dimension Sword earlier than expected while fighting Draco (the first Taiyoukai introduced in the series), only to lose it when he's killed by the Rajita leader (he regains his powers and the technique during the Chapter Black Saga like normal). By The Movie, he's already utilized the Dimension Sword's full potential and has been dating Yukina.

Currently in season 3, he and his friends are involved in the forthcoming war against the Demon Priests.

Hiei

Voice Actor: Chuck Huber

Another rival/friend to Yusuke. A calm and aloof individual. He was born a male Koorime (a tribe of female ice demons whose male offspring are shunned, and usually killed, because they have fire as their elemental affinity), and eventually became the wielder of the legendary Dragon of the Darkness Flames. He also possesses the Jagan Eye, which grants him several psychic powers.

In Season 1, assists Yusuke, Kuwabara, and Kurama against Pharaohmon's minions. In the Shadow Tournament, he faces Mizuno, a half digimon, half humanoid warrior, in a match. In Season 2, he engaged Sailor Mars in a heated battle, an important catalyst in their relationship; he and Rei Hino unite the Detectives and the Senshi against alien invaders called the Rajita. He also develops a link with the Houou - a cosmic phoenix that inhabits Rei. In The Movie, he helps stop the Taiyoukai lords and the Hiei/Rei Hino Crossover Ship becomes official after Rei uses her Houou powers to heal him and the healing session gets a little heated, leaving Rei pregnant with half-demon twins - a son named Ryuuhi and a daughter named Koori. The twins' Koorime heritage was obvious at birth, leading Yukina (and also Kuwabara, who was still clueless) to discover that Hiei was her brother.

Hiei currently lives at Hikawa Shrine with Rei, the twins, Rei's younger sister Cammy, Grandfather Hino, Yuuichirou, Helena, and Tyra (though he occasionally goes to the Makai to give status reports to Mukuro).

Kurama/Shuichi Minamino

Voice Actor: John Burgmeier

Friend and ally to Yusuke. Originally the great bandit thief Youko Kurama, who was fatally wounded and ends up fusing with an unborn child. Born as Shuichi Minamino. Considered the most dangerous and calculated member of the group, possessing a skill of analytical thinking that enables him to search for his opponent's strengths and weaknesses; also forms effective strategies. Capable of controlling plants (demon plants while in his true demon form) and uses the Rose Whip.

In Season 1, he hadn't competed in the Dark Tournament, but reverted to Youko Kurama during a skirmish with Brimstone (formerly one of Pharaohmon's minions). He assists Yusuke, Kuwabara, and Hiei against Pharaohmon's warriors. In the Shadow Tournament, he defeats Brimstone (earning the former minion's respect) but ends up losing to Agunimon. In Season 2, during the Rajita incursion, he is confronted by an old schoolfriend Maya Kitajima, who was abducted and turned into a half-Rajita chimera warrior, and ends up saving her from the aliens' control. After which, he aids the Detectives and the Senshi in the final battles against Ghidorah and Yami Houou. In The Movie, Kurama is involved in the main plot of Demento's plan to revive the Eight Taiyoukai lords; Kurama's soul is used to revive these lords; it ends with Maya retrieving Kurama's soul, saving the half-demon's life. He and Maya are currently in a relationship.

Currently in Season 3, Kurama and his friends are getting ready for the forthcoming war with the Demon Priests.

Brimstone (OC)

Voice Actor: Travis Willingham

A fire-wielding half-digimon half-humanoid warrior and a former minion of Pharaohmon, who completed a Heel Face Turn in Season 1. He becomes a member of the group following Season 2. He is currently helping the Spirit Detectives in the Meikai war. His digimon form is Magmusmon.

Mizuno (OC)

Voice Actress: Stephanie Young

A female water-wielding half-digimon half-humanoid warrior. She debuted during Season 1 and fought Hiei to a draw. She developed a close friendship with the Spirit Detectives and effectively becomes a member of the group. Was drawn to the the black dragon wielder until the Rei Hino/Hiei Crossover Ship became official. Currently, she is aiding the Detectives in the future Meikai conflict. Her digimon form is Sirendramon.

Planetary Senshi

See also: Sailor Moon

Usagi Tsukino/Sailor Moon

Voice Actress:

Leader of the Sailor Senshi. Reincarnated as a civilian named Usagi Tsukino, once a carefree and immature schoolgirl who transforms into Sailor Moon. She is the holder of the legendary Silver Crystal and fights the evils of her past life. She is mentored by guardian mooncat named Luna, who was responsible for reawakening Usagi and granted her Henshin items that enables her to transform. In her past life, she was Princess Serenity of the Moon during the Silver Millennium (before Queen Beryl and the Dark Kingdom destroys it).

One by one, she assembles her team of heroines named the Sailor Senshi. She meets her reincarnated lover Mamoru Chiba/Tuxedo Kamen and eventually meets Chibi-Usa, who came from the future. During each corresponding arc before Season 1, she matures into a compassionate champion of love.

Three years after Galaxia's defeat, she is absent in battle during Season 1 (but witnesses the Shadow Tournament on TV). In Season 2, she is temporarily active during the first act of the Rajita conflict until the Rajita leader, Ghidorah, defeats Moon (stealing her soul and her Silver Crystal); by the tail end of Season 2, she is revived, receives a power upgrade, and becomes a Valkyrie Senshi (an exclusive Senshi-level beyond Eternal) to confront Yami Houou (Sailor Mars' dark form). In The Movie, she aids her friends against the Taiyoukai lords and has given birth to Chibi-Usa (off screen but is mentioned). In Season 3, she, the Inner & Outer Senshi (sans Pluto) lose their Valkyrie Senshi powers, later compensating their lost powers with lesser powerful Ninja Senshi forms. Usagi and the others have just recently regained their Senshi powers coupled with a new power upgrade: Dai-Valkyrie Senshi level. Her steed, Sleipnir the Majestic Horse, was freed from the Orb of Minos and serves to aid his new rider in the war against the Neo-Rajita.

Sailor Moon's costume forms include: Classic, Super, Eternal, Ninja, Princess Serenity, Valkyrie Lvl 1, and Dai-Valkyrie.

Rei Hino/Sailor Mars

Voice Actress:

Reincarnated into civilian Rei Hino. A young Shinto miko who can transform into one of the legendary Sailor Senshi named Sailor Mars. Often considered the secondary leader after Sailor Venus. In this series, has officially taken her place as the second-in-command out of the the Planetary Senshi behind Moon. She utilizes pyrokinesis and various psychic abilities related to her miko background.

In Season 1, Rei, Minako, and Makoto gain their third Senshi-levels, the Eternal forms, in the fight against Pharaohmon and his minions. It was during this season Rei discovers the identity of a younger half-sister named Cammy, who is also the Digital Priestess. As she and Cammy are united, Rei shortly loses her powers when Pharaohmon siphons her, Venus, and Makoto to allow him to transform into his true, demonic form. To compensate for their lost powers, Rei and her two friends are given Ninja Senshi powers to aid them. The trio are accompanied by Mercury, Pluto, Saturn, Vega, Dimitro, and Cammy into the Digital World, discovering that the Digital Priestess' sword is sealed in a temple. Rei and her two friends regain their powers, head to the Shadow Tournament with the others. Cammy unites with Gallantmon, destroys Pharaohmon's body; Mars finishes off Pharaohmon's brain. Season ends with Rei gaining custody of Cammy after a heated exchange with their father. The season also hinted Rei containing a mysterious power linked to a 'phoenix.'

In Season 2, in response to the Rajita alien incursion, she gains a new Senshi form - the Valkyrie level. In this season, she trains Takato Matsuda - who gains the power of Suzaku from a Beast card - to better utilize his pyrokinesis. Following a disagreement with Hiei, she and the demon fight in a Crowning Moment of Awesome, ending with Mars triumphant. This fight would be the catalyst that develops their relationship. After witnessing her sister being killed by Rajita leader Ghidorah, Mars unlocks the mysterious 'phoenix' power, does a Face Heel Turn, and turns into Yami Houou (Dark Phoenix, an Expy for the Marvel version) to kill Ghidorah, replacing him as the last villain. As Sailor Moon tries to save Mars, Takato deals a fatal blow into Rei and stops the Yami Houou. The good Houou revives Mars and Cammy.

In the Kuiper Senshi short story, Mars makes two brief cameos. By the end of the story, she takes in Tyra Vanderbilt/Sailor Varuna and Helena Fernandez/Sailor Quaoar into her household.

In The Movie, the Rei/Hiei Crossover Ship becomes official. After the Taiyoukai are beaten, the last chapter shows Rei giving birth to their twins - a boy named Ryuuhi and a daughter named Koori.

Currently, in Season 3, Rei, the Inners, and the Outers (minus Pluto) lose their Senshi powers in a battle with a Paradais warrior named Hydra, leading them to participate in a labyrinth challenge set by the Amazons. Before leaving to the Digital World, Rei and Hiei meet the alternate counterparts of their twins, who arrive with the Signers to save the present. To compensate the loss of their powers, Rei and the others use their Ninja Senshi forms to explore the labyrinth. Rei and her friends have recently regained their full Senshi powers coupled with a new power upgrade: Dai-Valkyrie Senshi level. Mars' steed, Garuda the Phoenix, serves to aid her rider to fight the Neo-Rajita.

She currently lives on Hikawa Shrine with boyfriend Hiei, the twins, Cammy, her grandfather, Yuuichirou, Tyra, and Helena.

Sailor Mars' costume forms include: Classic, Super, Eternal, Ninja, Houou (Phoenix), Valkyrie Lvl 1, and Dai-Valkyrie. Yami Houou is her corrupted form, which thankfully didn't last long.

Minako Aino/Sailor Venus

Voice Actress:

Reincarnated as civilian Minako Aino. The Soldier of Love and inspires to become a famous idol. Though she was the fourth Inner Senshi to be discovered by Moon, she is the first Sailor Senshi to be reawakened and one of earth's first active heroes. She is technically the 'leader' of the Senshi who protect Moon, but the role has sort of passed over to Mars. Her powers are based primarily on light-based ones.

In Season 1, she, Rei, and Makoto are the first Senshi to appear (Minako being the first to make an appearance in the series). She gains her Eternal Senshi form while battling Pharaohmon's minions. She, Rei, Makoto shortly lose their Senshi powers to Pharaohmon, who uses their energy to augment his own body. She (along with Rei and Makoto) gain Ninja Senshi forms to help them fight the enemy. Thereafter, the trio are accompanied by Mercury, Pluto, Saturn, Vega, Dimitro, and Cammy into the Digital World to learn of a temple where a power source would restore their powers. This source would be discovered to be the Digital Priestess' sword. She and the others arrive at the Shadow Tournament to help their new allies defeat Pharaohmon and his army.

In Season 2, in response to the Rajita alien invasion, Minako and the others gain new Senshi levels: the Valkyrie forms. After Rajita warlord Ghidorah captures Usagi, Minako and the Senshi align themselves with the Spirit Detectives to combat the aliens. Through the season, she faces a video game Rajita enthusiast named Emag Oediv, Nagah - one of the four Rajita generals, Ghidorah, and Yami Houou. She also helped train Himura, who gains the power of Byakko (albeit, happened off-screen).

In a Gaiden mini-arc entitled An Idol in Love, Minako stars in her own short love story meeting a young man named Rio Kuroshishi. Minako also meets Rio's younger sister Kohana. The Minako/Rio ({OC}) couple becomes official.

In the Kuiper Senshi short story, she makes two cameos. In the end, she takes Christina Denton/Sailor Orcus - daughter of a famous singer and one of Minako's biggest fans, who inspires to become an idol singer.

In The Movie, as the Taiyoukai rise, Minako learns of her boyfriend's dark secret. He is a wielder of one of three artifacts called Demon Stones. Rio wields the Demon Sun Stone, which he uses to help Venus combat the Taiyoukai. After the conflict is resolved, the two officially move in together and visit Rei having given birth to her twins.

Currently, in Season 3, Minako and the Senshi lose their Senshi powers after a scuffle with a Paradais warrior named Hydra. To make up for the power loss, she revives Ninja Senshi power as the others gain new Ninja Senshi forms. Before entering the labyrinth, Minako and Rio are greeted by their future daughter Ai Aino Kuroshishi. Having regained her powers, thanks to the Orb of Minos, Venus has gained a new power upgrade: Dai-Valkyrie Senshi level. She and her steed, Cupid the Light Cupid, prepare to confront the Neo-Rajita in a forthcoming war.

Sailor Venus' costume forms include: Sailor V, Classic, Super, Eternal, Ninja, Valkyrie Lvl 1, and Dai-Valkyrie.

Makoto Kino/Sailor Jupiter

Voice Actress:

Reincarnated as civilian Makoto Kino. Physically the strongest member, serving as the 'muscle' of the team. Is often called 'Mako-chan' by her friends, who rarely greet or refer to her by her full given name. Her powers are based primarily on plant-based attacks and can manipulate weather.

In Season 1, she, Minako, and Rei are the first Senshi to be introduced in the series. She gains her Eternal form while battling Pharaohmon's minions. She, Venus, and Mars lose their powers shortly after when Pharaohmon siphons their Senshi energy. To compensate for the loss of their powers, she, Rei, and Minako gain Ninja Senshi forms to help them fight the enemy. They go with Mercury, Saturn, Pluto, Vega, Dimitro, and Cammy into the Digital World to retrieve the Digital Priestess' sword, which restores their Senshi powers. They regroup with Uranus and Neptune as they assist their new allies, defeating Pharaohmon and his forces.

In Season 2, in response to the Rajita invasion, Makoto and the other Senshi gain new Senshi levels called Valkyrie Sailor forms. As a Valkyrie Senshi, her physical strength is augmented ten times and can move at hypersonic speed. With her new power, she and the Senshi align with the Spirit Detectives to combat the alien threat and save Usagi from Rajita warlord Ghidorah. She helps battle Ghidorah and Yami Houou near the end of the season. Paradais

The Prophet (OC)

A mysterious individual with keen insight into the future. Seems to be indirectly manipulating the timestream in a giant gambit but to what ends is currently unknown.

Sharon Rivers/Sailor Charon (OC)[1]

Sailor Pluto's Evil Twin sister. She kindaps Pluto at the beginning of Season 3, then disguises herself as an "amnisiac" Setsuna and infiltrates the Kuiper Sensh/Neo Senshi camp. Her civilian identity is also apparently the secretary to Paradais Corp. CEO, Jeremiah Grand. Charon and The Prophet seem to be lovers.

Nix (OC)[1]

One of Charon's minions. Nix is an ugly, hunchbacked demon. Nix was first seen working with Sailor Heavy Metal Papillon, however, it turns out he was sent by Charon to report on the Neo Animamates's progress in capturing the Kuiper Senshi's Star Seeds. In the initial attack in Season 3, Nix is seen once again antagonizing the Kuiper Senshi. Named for Nix, one of the moons orbiting Pluto/Charon.

Hydra (OC)[1]

Charon's other minion. Hydra is a strikingly beautiful woman with snake-headed tentacles sprouting out of her back. Hydra aided in the kidnapping of Sailor Pluto, and fought the Planetary Senshi shortly thereafter. Named for Hydra, the other moon orbiting Pluto/Charon.

Igasu the Blood Moon (OC)

KingBasilikmon (OC)[1]

The evolve form of Basiliskmon.

Professor Frank

After his duel with Luna in the Fortune Cup, Professor Frank's mind was trapped in the Duel Monsters Spirit World, where he was constantly hounded by Regulus. After being saved by Sailor Charon (who had just been released from a 1000 year temporal prison), he is sent back 1001 years to prevent the defeat of Charon and The Prophet. The Charon in the past (or the present, in regards to the story) uses her contacts in Paradais to secure Frank a position as the new head of Slifer Red, following Professor Banner's disappearance. Frank uses his position to recruit the Paradais Knights and equip them with technology he brought back from the future.

Paradais Knights

A group of disgruntled Slifer Red students led by three Psychic Duelists (the Grand Knights) who trained them to withstand actual attacks from Duel Monsters. After the Kaiba Corp. Solid Vision System is hacked and the safeties are removed, the Paradais Knights terrorize the city and force hapless duelists into duels with actual damage, thanks to the Duel Cuffs (the same kind Yusei and The Enforcers used), destroying the Duel Disks of the losers.

Gus Payne/Zealoss (OC)

One of the triumvirate of Paradais Grand Knights. Has his eyes set on Yugi.

Hector Armstrong/Grapplo (OC)

One of the triumvirate of Paradais Grand Knights. Has his eyes set on Jaden.

Drake Savage/Dragoon (OC)

One of the triumvirate of Paradais Grand Knights. Has his eyes set on Yusei.

Jeremiah Grand (OC)[1]

After the fall of Dartz, the Paradais Corp. fell into bankruptcy and was purchased by Jeremiah Grand, who built it back up into a leading corporation. Exactly what his role in recent events is uncertain, but he seems to have some idea what his secretary, Sharon Rivers, is up to.
