Xiaolin Showdown/YMMV

  • Alternate Character Interpretation: Judging by his few appearances and his legacy, the Shen Gong Wu, one can infer that Dashi was either the definition of Crazy Prepared or a very Erudite Stoner. Maybe both.
  • And the Fandom Rejoiced: when it was revealed that a fourth season was in production, 6 years after the third season ended.
  • Draco in Leather Pants: Jack Spicer and Chase Young get this in spades from the fandom.
  • Evil Counterpart: It can be argued that Jack is this to Kimiko. Both are the highly intelligent and technosavvy children of wealthy parents and wish to prove themselves to their peers. One is however much more competent than the other...
  • Evil Is Sexy:
    • Wuya whenever she takes corporeal form.
    • Chase Young.
    • Katnappe also counts.
  • Evil Is Cool: Chase Young.
  • Funny Aneurysm Moment: Raimundo's throwaway line in "Chameleon" (season 1, episode 6) - "Maybe I'm missing the point. We're never gonna go after each other!" Talk about Tempting Fate.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight:
  • Magnificent Bastard: Chase Young.
  • Memetic Molester: According to some parts of the fandom, Chase Young is this to Omi.
  • Memetic Mutation:
    • You got Jacked!
    • Jack Spicer: It hurts! Get it out!
    • A lot of sayings Omi butchers become these as well.
  • Periphery Demographic: Possibly due to its Cerebus Syndrome, it got quite a bit of a cult following amongst older teenagers.
  • Tastes Like Diabetes: Jack whenever he turns completely good via the Ying Yang World, to the point where even though he's wholeheartedly on their side the monks like him even less than they do when he's evil.
  • They Changed It, Now It Sucks:
    • News that the revival is being outsourced to Canada is already getting this reaction.
    • Jack's new voice--with a higher pitch that makes him seem a lot younger--is also getting this reaction (though it was later revealed that it was simply a place-holder since his actual voice actor hadn't been hired yet).
    • Fans also seem to be objecting to the use of CGI in the Showdowns, and the seemingly random name change to the Orb of Tornami, called the Orb of Torpedo in the preview clip.
    • Most of these, however, were from a preview that was, as confirmed by the creators, leaked and not supposed to be on the internet in the first place, they also stated that it's also a fairly old clip; it's extremely likely that it's going to change somewhere down the line.
  • Too Good to Last: Subverted with the reveal of a fourth series in production.
  • Unpopular Popular Character: Jack.
  • Villain Decay: Jack Spicer and Wuya, as both were upstaged by Chase Young, although Jack wasn't all that tough to start with, and Wuya was restored without her full powers. Even then, she can still beat all of the monks.
    • Reversed in the first part of the finale, where Jack's future self pretty much kills everyone.
  • The Woobie: Jack Spicer, and sometimes Omi and Raimundo.
