"(Senbonzakura)'s enduring popularity is kind of an enigma all of its own though. It's initial boom was one thing, a lot of Vocaloid songs get popular, spawn utatte/odotte/hiite mita fads that go on for a few months before fading and being replaced by something else. Senzaku however, not only gained massive mainstream popularity in Japan (I believe it was No#1 requested karaoke song in the country for a while) but also just hasn't left the Vocaloid community alone. It's been in the weekly Vocaloid rankings without fail for the last 3 goddamn years for christsake. 3 years! Most people in the fandom are bored sick of it at this point, but it just won't die. It's baffling really."
