Tasek Gelugor (federal constituency)

Tasek Gelugor is a federal constituency in Penang, Malaysia, that has been represented in the Dewan Rakyat since 1986.

The federal constituency was created in the 1984 redistribution and is mandated to return a single member to the Dewan Rakyat under the first past the post voting system. The seat became the most marginal seat in the country after the 2018 general election.[3]

2004–2016: The constituency contains the polling districts of Ara Rendang, Pokok Machang, Pokok Tampang, Permatang Berangan, Simpang Tiga, Tasek Gelugor, Jarak, Padang Chempedak, Ara Kuda, Permatang Kerai, Pajak Song, Simpang Ampat, Permatang To' Jaya, Alor Merah, Kampong Telok, Taman Desa Murni, Sungai Dua, Kampong Setol, Lahar Yooi, Telok Ayer Tawar, Permatang Binjai, Pekan Darat, Taman Senangan, Mata Kuching, Jalan Masjid, Taman Wira, Taman Perkasa.
