Super Show 7 - "The Great Super Junior" is the fourth world concert tour and seventh international tour by South Korean boy band Super Junior, in support of their eighth studio album, Play. The world tour commenced with three shows in Seoul from 15 to 17 December 2017 and hit a total of 120 concerts for its Super Show series.[1][2][3]

Super Junior concert chronology

This tour marks the return of members Siwon, Eunhyuk and Donghae, who had been away serving two years of mandatory military service. [4] Ryeowook joined the tour in November 2018 following his military discharge.

Concerts

The tour was announced on 28 September 2017, after Super Junior starting the promotion for their eighth studio album, Play. Tickets for the December 16–17 concert in Seoul went on sale on 21 November and were sold out in 9 minutes. Later, the group added one more day on December 15 due to high demand and the tickets went on sale on 26 November at 8PM KST. The concert on 15 December marks the 120th Super Show concert in the Super Show series. [1][2]

The concert in Singapore was announced on December 1 by ONE Production after 2 years of the last concert held in Singapore On January 27 Super Junior gave his show to 11,000 people, this show was one of the ten concerts with the highest grossing in Singapore having the number 5 and 6 after Madonna's concert who has the number 1 position and record of the most expensive concert in the history of Singapore with her concert "Rebel Heart Tour" with more than $6.1 million dollars for an audience of 19,123 people, the second and third place is for Coldplay $12.5 million dollars with 2 concerts, each of $6.2 million in his "A Head Full of Dreams" for an audience of 102,508 people, the fourth place is for Jay Chou with his concert "THE INVINCIBLE 2 "JAY CHOU CONCERT TOUR 2018 with $6 million dollars for an audience of 55,500 the fifth and sixth place is Super Junior has the record of the highest grossing concerts KPOP in Singapore, $3 million Dollars with "Super Show 7" for an audience of 11,000 people and $2.3 million Dollars with "Super Show 6" for an audience of 12,356.

In Bangkok SM True announced the SUPER SHOW 7, the sale of the tickets was on December 23, the fans sold out in just 14 minutes the tickets for the concert in Thailand, causing many to run out of tickets for the only show, according to Thailand Allticket they put about 17,000 tickets on sale and all were sold out. Super Junior is the only artist who has sold out more than 16,000 tickets at the Impact Arena for each concert such as Super Show 2 Tour and Super Show 6 Tour with more than 32,000 tickets sold out on each Tour.

The tour in Latin America ended in huge success, the four shows gathered 55,000 fans, making it the Korean concert tour with the highest attendance in Latin America in history, Super Junior broke their own records by selling out 9,500 tickets in Argentina, in Peru 10,000, about 16,000 in Chile and 20,000 tickets in Mexico.[5]

Super Show 7 in Macao was, according to the producer The Venetian (Macao) the venue had more than 14,500 tickets for the event because it will be the only date. The SM GLOBAL PACKAGE for Macao are the most expensive on the tour since their prices are $2,980- $3,350 for one person and $5,950- $7,080 for two people, which include a ticket for the concert in the VIP area, or any other area put to choose by the fan, a luxury room and two nights at the hotel The Venetian Macao with respective food and hotel services, a tour of the attractive places of The Venetian Macao Hotel And Casino Resort, also transport and hotel services towards the concert venue and an airplane ticket in tourist class from the home country of the fanatic to Macao and this with private transport from the airport to the hotel, all the services and prices of the SM GLOBAL PACKAGE MACAU are different depending on the origin of the client and their comforts in the hotel, and applied by the hotel agreement and SM Entertainment. In 2018 Super Junior returns to Tokyo Dome after four years, held their 'SUPER SHOW 7' on Nov 30-Dec 1 in Tokyo, Japan. According to Billboard-Japan reported Super Junior's SUPER SHOW 7 break two records in Tokyo, this event is the most sold by a Korean artist to sell 57,000 tickets per concert at Tokyo Dome and is the second highest-grossing artist in Tokyo Dome history after The Rolling Stones with $9.3 millions per concert and Super Junior with $8.8 million per concert. The concerts ended with $17,657,590 and 114,182 attendees in the two days.[8]
