History
When the North South Line Woodlands Extension was proposed in 1990, Sungei Kadut was one of the stations to be built, but was shelved and replaced by Kranji Station due to low demand.[2]
Sungei Kadut station was first announced on 25 May 2019 as an interchange station for the Downtown Line (DTL) and North South Line (NSL), as part of the Land Transport Master Plan (LTMP) 2040 by the Land Transport Authority (LTA).[3]
