Suchá Loz lies approximately 22 kilometres (14 mi) south-east of Uherské Hradiště, 30 km (19 mi) south of Zlín, and 269 km (167 mi) south-east of Prague.
The town is known for its mineral water spring which are said to have restorative properties.
