Shubharambh

Shubharambh (transl. Auspicious beginning) is an Indian drama produced by Shashi Sumeet Productions which premiered on 2 December 2019 on Colors TV.[2] It stars Mahima Makwana and Akshit Sukhija.[3]

Plot

Raja Reshammiya, a son from a wealthy family lacks self confidence and Rani Dave, a sharp girl belongs to a poor family. Raja and Rani meet and start off on a conflicting note but later fall in love.

Misunderstanding Rani's family to be rich, Raja's mother Asha brings a marriage proposal to Rani's house. After their marriage, Asha finds out the truth about Rani's poor family background. She constantly tries to cause problems in their relationship.

Production

The production and airing of the show was halted indefinitely in late March 2020 due to the Covid-19 outbreak in India.[4] Because of the outbreak, the filming of television series and films was halted on 19 March 2020 and expected to resume on 1 April 2020 but could not and the series was last broadcast on 1 April 2020 when the remaining episodes were aired.[5][6] The production resumed on 25 June 2020.[7] Owing the halt, the cast of the series took 25% payment cut for six months.[8]
