The state constituency was created in the 2003 redistribution and is mandated to return a single member to the Selangor State Legislative Assembly under the first past the post voting system.
History
2004–2016: The constituency contains the polling districts of Glenmarie, SS 6, SS 5D, SS 5B & 5C, SS 5A, Seri Setia, PJS 5 Kampung Penaga, PJS 6/4 - PJS 6/6, PJS 10/1 - PJS 10/16, Rumah Pangsa Sungai Way, PJS 5/1 - PJS 5/21, PJS 6/1 - PJS 6/3, PJS 8, PJS 10/17 - PJS 10/34, SS 7, Kampung Lindungan.
2016–present:[1] The constituency contains the polling districts of Glenmarie, SS 6, SS 5D, SS 5B & 5C, SS 5A, Seri Setia, PJS 5 Kampung Penaga, PJS 6/4 - PJS 6/6, PJS 10/1 - PJS 10/16, Rumah Pangsa Sungai Way, PJS 5/1 - PJS 5/12, PJS 6/1 - PJS 6/3, PJS 8, PJS 10/17 - PJS 10/34, SS 7, Kampung Lindungan, PJS 5/13 - PJS 5/30.
