Schlern Formation
The Schlern Formation, also known as Schlern Dolomite, is a limestone, marl and dolomite formation in the Northern Limestone Alps in Austria and Italy.[1]

It preserves fossils dating back to the Middle Triassic period (Anisian to Ladinian). The formation correlates with the Wetterstein Formation of the Northern Limestone Alps.
