The Allmusic review by Dave Nathan awarded the album three stars and commented that "There's no brass in the orchestra, just flutes, woodwinds, and strings. The result is that the arrangements are tame compared to charts May turned out when he had trumpets and trombones to work with. On some tracks, one gets the impression that Lee got bored with some of the complacent arrangements and shows her indifference by having a bit of fun using overly broad vowel pronunciations on such tunes as "Pretty Eyes." But on the better stuff, such as the swinging "It Could Happen to You," "Too Close for Comfort," and "Fly Me to the Moon" done as a slow ballad, she holds nothing back. Although her bountiful vocal gifts are occasionally held somewhat in check, there's still enough here to satisfy Lee and vocal fans alike".[2]

The Allmusic website's use of the title "Fly Me To The Moon" for track 11 is incorrect. This album uses the song's original title "In Other Words" on the rear sleeve and Side 2 record label.[3]

Personnel

gollark: Data caps do kind of work well at getting people to use less *bandwidth* because people don't use their internet connection as much, but they don't actually have some finite amount of internets or something weird like that.
gollark: Though you do need sensible small parties in the first place.
gollark: Probably less so, if you can vote for a popular party you like less and a less popular one you like more. It reduces the "I don't like either big party but I'm voting for the least bad one" thing.
gollark: Also, it isn't considered that as far as I'm aware since you are not actually (explicitly) ranking options.
gollark: That's a big group of things.
