In 2011, the club management decided that they want to rename themselves into Persija Jakarta and thus becoming the clone of an already established Persija Jakarta that competed in the Indonesian Super League.
After the league disbanded and dualism ensues in Indonesia football, on 25 March 2013, the club disbanded because it is no longer recognised by the PSSI.
