Demographics
As of 2001 India census,[1] Paratdih had a population of 6,643. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Paratdih has an average literacy rate of 42%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 52%, and female literacy is 32%. In Paratdih, 22% of the population is under 6 years of age.
As per 2011 Census of India, Paratdih had a population of 8,854. There were 4,521 males and 4,333 females. Scheduled Castes numbered 531 and Scheduled Tribes numbered 19.[2]
Literacy
As of 2011 census, the total number of literates in Paratdih was 4,112 out of which 3,390 were males and 1,778 were females.[2]
