Bhurkunda

Bhurkunda is a small town in the Ramgarh district of Jharkhand, India.[1] Bhurkunda is approximately 52 kilometres (32 mi) north-east of Ranchi, the state capital of Jharkhand.

Transport

Railways

There is a railway station in Bhukunda.[2] The Palamu Express and Muri Express used to stop here. Nearby stations are at Barkakana Junction and Patratu.

Roads

A national highway connects Ramgarh and Ranchi via Bhurkunda and Patratu.

Bus station

There is a small bus and auto stand in Bhurkunda, with services from Bhurkunda to Ranchi, Ramgarh, Barkagaon, Hazaribagh, Gaya, Taregana, Patna and elsewhere.

Airport

The nearest airport to Bhurkunda is Birsa Munda Airport, about 56 kilometres (35 mi) away.
