gollark: The DMCA is the law meaning that they can arbitrarily demand that things be taken down, and the one forbidding you from doing anything to get around DRM.
gollark: Depending on what you mean, section 1201 or whatever it is was basically designed for that.
gollark: There are copies *everywhere*, but they need updating periodically when Google changes things.
gollark: The DMCA is an entirely unreasonable law, but ytdl might actually violate it, so who knows. In any case it would be hard to actually do much about it because the legal system is often very bees.
