My High School Musical

My High School Musical is a talent competition based on High School Musical 2 for the Disney Channel in the UK (8 January – 8 April, 2008) and in Australia (January 18 – 22 December, 2008).

Format

UK

The UK version was presented by As The Bell Rings star Brad Kavanagh and recent Disney Channel competition You're The Star winner Samantha Dorrance. The winner of the singing category was 12-year-old Saachi Sen from Hampstead, London, who later went on to compete in another Disney talent show, My Camp Rock. She is now a regular performer at London jazz clubs, such as The Vortex.

Australia

The Australian version was presented by Choreographer Leah Howard. The show was set in Sydney's Talent Development High School and involved 4 teams fighting for the chance to perform at Walt Disney World, Florida judged by Jaquai Howard, Christian Patterson and Leah Howard. Each Episode had a performance task needed to be met and throughout the series we saw 2 lead characters selected, a choreographer picked, dance elements introduced and varioas other performance techniques allocated to each team. The teams were blue, red, and green. The show was available on DVD as of February 2008.

gollark: Well, skin isn't a very good thermal conductor, so you would probably have to pump blood into and out of your hand too.
gollark: Programmers are expensive. Compute time is cheap. If they could write reasonably usable code automatically, they could outcompete everyone else.
