Mohd Shahar Abdullah

Mohd Shahar bin Abdullah (Jawi محمد شاهر عبدالله; born (15 January 1970) is a Malaysian politician. He serves in the Cabinet of Malaysia as the Deputy Minister of Finance since 10 March 2020.

Political Career

Shahar contested seat in Paya Besar in 2018 Malaysian general election, defeating candidates from Pakatan Harapan and PAS.[1]

Shahar is also the head of UMNO Youth Information after being elected in 2018.

On March 9, 2020, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Finance by Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin for his Cabinet. Shahar also held the position with Abd Rahim Bakri. [2]
