History

Marvel HQ was officially launched on 20 January 2019, replacing the Indian version of Disney XD.[1] Disney India sees Marvel as a "pop-culture phenomenon" as the reason to have a dedicated Marvel channel.[4] At launch, the main Marvel programming would consist of four animated shows[1] and 40% of the schedule[4] with additional Marvel animated series added or seasons started in March 2019.[1]

Programming

Marvel HQ programs air on two prime-time day parts, afternoon and evening. Marvel shows and movies, accounting for 40% of the schedule,[4] would be supplemented with similar themed show from other providers and libraries to bring in other viewers.[1] The amount of Marvel content would rise over time.[3] Marvel movies would be shown on Saturday and Sunday.[2] The channel also airs the Non-Marvel programs from its sister channels Hungama TV and Disney Channel. At air time, the main Marvel programming would consist of four animated shows:[1]

Non-Marvel

gollark: I support... somewhat government-regulated mostly-free markets for allocation of resources, and free enterprise/the ability to set up your own company and produce things, roughly.
gollark: I think you're using a weird definition.
gollark: I'm hoping much of the underpaid labour can be replaced with automation in the future, too.
gollark: Not really? If I could somehow make people not want it and skip any of the ethical issues related to that it'd be nice? But they do, and the system satisfies those values.
gollark: People are entirely free to *not* buy a new phone every 6 months and... mostly do... the phone market has been declining because of lengthening upgrade cycles. If people buy unreasonable amounts it's because *they want that*, though possibly because of advertising which is terrible.
