Le Bus Direct

Le Bus Direct (formerly Les Cars Air France) is a set of three regular coach lines between Paris locations and the two major Île-de-France airports (Orly and Roissy-CDG), plus one connecting the two airports. Since 12 May 2016, Groupe ADP has taken control of the network by expanding it and associating it with the Paris Aéroport brand. Operation is carried out by the company Keolis.[1]

History

The service was established in 1930 when the Lignes Aériennes Farman (Farman airlines), later SGTA, offered travelers a Renault coach leaving from Paris and dropping them off on the tarmac at Paris–Le Bourget Airport.[1]

Air France coaches were created from the outset of the company to transport passengers who checked-in in town. In 1933, the service connected flights from Le Bourget. In 1946, when the l'Aérogare des Invalides terminal opened, buses were also used for flights departing from Orly Airport.[2]

On 12 May 2016, Groupe ADP took control of Air France coaches, renamed Le Bus Direct. Three new stops are added in the capital. The coaches were integrated into the Paris Aéroport brand to harmonize the passenger experience.[1]

gollark: You mean "die of starvation rapidly when industrial farming stops existing"?
gollark: ???
gollark: You're saying that something is impossible, though, not just not soon.
gollark: To be fair, brains degrade over time.
gollark: I mean, it's not obviously possible now, but that's kind of how progress works.
