On 13 November 2003, IBA announced that David D'Or was selected as the Israeli representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2004.[2]
Kdam Eurovision 2004
The song that David D'Or represented Israel with in Istanbul was selected through a national final called Kdam Eurovision 2004. The four song titles were announced on 19 January 2004.[3] David D'Or filmed videoclips for the four songs which were presented during a presentation show on 5 February 2004, held during a break in a televised Maccabi Tel Aviv Euroleague basketball game, hosted by Meirav Miller.[4] The winning song, "Leha'amin", was determined by a combination of the votes from public televoting and SMS voting (60%) and an IBA jury which included prior Israeli entrants Lior Narkis and Gali Atari (40%). "Leha'amin" came first in both the televoting (66% of the votes) and jury vote (60% of the votes).[5][6]
