Israel participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2001 in Copenhagen. Tal Sondak represented Israel with the song "En Davar".

The final was held on 28 December 2000 at the Neve-Ilan TV Studios near Jerusalem, hosted by Duo Datz. The winner was chosen by a combination of votes from three regional juries (18%), an IBA jury (29%) and televoting (53%).[1]
