The pieces

The album's title originates from Hubbard's nickname. The track "Cry Me Not", composed by Randy Weston for the session and arranged by Melba Liston, was considered by Hubbard to be "the most interesting tune on the record". "Luana" is dedicated to Hubbard's niece, whilst "Osie Mae" - a title which sounded "funky" to Hubbard - is characterized by an A-B-A-B pattern. "Earmon Jr.", composed by Hubbard and arranged by Ed Summerlin, was named for Hubbard's brother, a pianist.[3]

Personnel

Technical personnel

gollark: E L E C T R O M A G N E T I S M, or the placebo effect.
gollark: The one thing I don't seem to get is push notifications, because they all run through Google Cloud Messaging or something. Also a working Play Store, but you can just install the official one on top of microG.
gollark: It *mostly* works and does waaaay less data gathering.
gollark: Yay for Google's reliable products!
gollark: Also adblocking everywhere (except the oh-so-few sites satisfying my acceptable ads criteria), so I wouldn't notice if targeted ad networks did start serving relevant-to-my-speech ads.
