History

This small town (under 2000 people) is of ancient foundation but little is written before the 14th century (1361).

The Church of the Annunciation dates from 1384. It was extended and remodelled in the Baroque style in the 17th and 18th centuries.

A small fortress was created in the 14th century, surrounded by moats. It was rebuilt in 1734 and survives today in this style.

A statue of St John of Nepomuk stands in the town square.

The settlement has a kindergarten and primary school.
